The inbuilt privacy guard in OxygenOS doesn't support altering permissions for System apps.
You can root the device and disable the services of GooglePlayServices.

Hi v7,
i have root. But what do you mean with disable exactly? Where would this function be? And does this effect any other App or process if i disable it?

It still runs in the background, intermittently popping up asking to activate, only way is to delete the apk.

so that it will never bother you again do this.
Apps>ALL>Sprint Connections Optimizer> Force Stop and uncheck Show Notifications.
It will never bother you again.
Other than that im not sure. I guess you have your reasons to not even show in the options list.

Thing is even if I stop notifications it still runs, and can restart even if stopped.
So nobody has found a way to disable or Remove My Magazine? I have disabled the start button option but I really want to disable completely mostly because I'm irritated that Samsung is forcing the APP on us.

Root then titanium.
Be forewarned! If you disable the magazine crap, it breaks other apps functionality which make them force close on loading! Might be critical in order for the Note 3 to function properly!

sHealth is responsible of this wakelock. Disable it if you don't need it.
But its behavior on your device isn't normal. This wakelock should run for a couple of seconds, not +20min.

UID is a unique identifier to the user of each process. In your case, BBStats is not able to identify (link to) the responsible process of this activity.
Hi,
Everything is in the title : How to handle Auto-start permissions in OOs 4.5.3 ?
I didn't find a menu for that.
With my old phone, I used to use Bootmanager, but without Xposed I can't use it anymore.
Any piece of advice ?
BR
I would like to know this as well, memory management (start up/background use/keep awake) is huge in controlling battery life.
I need Xposed for 3 apps: Boot Manager, GravityBox, and YouTube AdAway...
So, no option in OOs ?

Thank you. I'm using SuperSU PRO... will check if magisk can run with it together...
LBE Security Master can handle Autostarts perfectly. I use it to control permissions and for autoboot on my OP5. Rest of options I've switched off. Works like a charm. If you need APK just PM me.
You need root (of course)

I'm interested, is it an English versoin ?
There are large threads about this program here on XDA. For me this is an understandable piece of software. I found others too complicated or PMP (Xposed) that didn't work on my Sony Z3 Dual.
LBE does this job. Download from XDA or send me pm for apk.
Has anyone figured this out?
I vaguely remember seeing the option in settings - apps - cog - auto start in an earlier version of OOS?
Is this removed or moved somewhere else?
OnePlus 5 apparently has a new feature of auto starting apps based on usage, but that seems to be a load of *@#! cos none of my most used apps launch on boot
The option still exist but you cannot access it through settings.
If you're an Alarmy user, the app give you prompt to that page whenever you confirm an alarm setup (interestingly).
If you don't, you can download JOneplus tool from play store which also can lead you to that page (by force touching the app)
And no, I'm not affiliated with either or both of the above apps in any ways.
If you use nova launcher you can create an activity to point to manage centre where you can see the auto start apps, however it does not work at all for me but your mileage may vary.
I use the app Autostarts which works perfectly

Replaced this app with Apex Shortcuts (may not be exactly the same label as I translated them from French :angel :
- Shortcuts / Activities / Management Center / Application Auto-start (.chainlaunch.view.ChainLaunchAppListActivity)
- Shortcuts / Activities / Management Center / Hibernation Application Parameters (.cleanBackground.view.ManageBackgroundAppListActivity)
If someone can provide me the real label in English, I'll update OP

So tried this for the last few days, but looks like it doesn't seem to have any effect?
I have apps like LMT, greenify, ex kernel manager set to start at boot and settings in the above and other apps but they don't seem to start up or apply the settings. In fact the toggle in LMT even gets turned off at boot and have to manually get into any of the apps and restart them.
I am assuming the others don't see this misbehavior? Do you have aggressive doze and/or doze turned off?
Hi, I have bought this OP8pro last week and I already want to root it. I really miss viper4android, adblock and many other apps. Since I use payment apps like google pay.. will I have any problem after rooting my device?
Unlike my pixel phones where I had to have certain modules to mod specific tables... The OnePlus just works and passes safetynet after rooting with regards to google pay. It's nice to have it back hassle free.
The only thing that you have to do on stock is enable Magisk hide and it will pass SN. On a custom ROM you have to edit the fingerprint as well and that's super easy to do with the MagiskHide Props Config module.
Consequence? There isn't any. Widevine L3 I think.

It's required for certain security measures to be adhered to..
For example if an app really doesn't care if you're rooted or not then it won't matter (and most don't)
But if it's let's say a really tedious banking app or Netflix or something that it'll require better level of security.
Widevine is broken with root to a certain degree.
Only way to know is to check.. It's all reversible so honestly there's no risk anyway.

Not sure buddy, I never had a problem with or without it.
Only affected certain apps.
Great if they did.
It only affects my Netflix as far as I can tell .. Can't get biometrics to work also on one banking app but I'm not sure that's due to widevine....I do know I've tried many things and can't get L1 back.... But I don't want it badly enough to lock bootloader/unroot etc.

Nah I wouldn't either, it's a very small price to pay for all the root goodness.
Guess it isn't fixed @humzaahmed155
I don't imagine it ever will be as it's a security feature

Perhaps nuke PayPal, (clear data on the app then uninstall), make sure play protect is turned on in the play store.
Install it, don't open.
Go to settings / apps / PayPal
Enable all permissions
Open PayPal follow explicit instructions.
Should work
You may want to also change the Magisk Manager package name. Some apps will look for Magisk, SuperSu, and other SU managers to determine if you're rooted. Netflix was doing that to me, but once I changed Magisk Manager's name to "Aardvark," my problems with Netflix stopped. You should be able to do this in the Magisk Manager settings.
Yeh, changing the Magisk Manager name can resolve these types of issues....
