Stuck with Fake Note 4 Wont Connect to Network - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So unfortunately my gf got scammed with a fake note4 not realizing there were fakes floating around Shes ok with owning up with her mistake and using the phone for the time being. (I've ordered her a new legit Note4 and should be arriving next week)
The phone seems pretty ok despite the knock off os; I would like to play with it and see how it pars up with the real thing but the damn thing wont register to the network. Every time I try to place a call it says mobile network not available; now it doesnt say not valid or blocked but after some poking around found that the IMEI doesnt match whats printed on the sticker in the back, could this be the issue? I am in Canada and carrier is Fido/Rogers.

I am able to access "Factory Mode" when trying to get to download mode it looks like some chinese recovery at least there maybe a possibility to root?
Im a lil stumped would appreciate any advice on how I can get this device working? or is this a lost cause? The phone is as Ive read in other threads SW is MOLLY and custom build version is I9228.
Thigns Ive tried:
-factory reset
-checked apn settings
-disable/enable network settings

[Q] Galaxy S4 LTE (i9505) connection issues...

Hi guys,
I'm using the Google Play Edition ROM for some weeks now and noticed something strange.
I have one of the best ISP's in my country (Belgium) which has almost everywhere 3G and on the most places even 4G. In the past I had very good 4G signal almost everywhere with my HTC One but with the Galaxy it's always stuck to 'E' and very occationally I get 'H' or 'H+'. But let's say for the most part, like 90% of the time, I only manage to receive 'E'...
The specific ROM:

}
As I'm not allowed to post in the development thread itself, I thought I could ask it here...
I already tried setting different connection types:
but none seem to work like it should. Or they work but I keep being stuck in 'E' mode...
EDIT:
I also tried using the 2 different kernels, but no change.
Another thing I noticed, when I'm on the phone with somebody I can hear them clearly but they all say my connection get's disrupted and they can't hear me (or not clearly) but the connection stays present.
Thanks!

[Q] Please help

Im not sure where else to ask this. I have searched all over the internet and to no avail. But I was scanning my network with Fing (an app that shows all the devices in the network), and I noticed that my phone (verified with MAC address) had a system running out of port 12345 called netbus. In the description it said "Netbus backdoor trojan". I tried a factory reset and other things, but I CANT get rid of it. I dont know where I got it from, but im just worried about trying to get it off of my phone. Any ideas?

It may be you have a stolen phone and the owner wants his phone.

Network Signal disappear often with my i9500 phone

I have the Galaxy S4 i9500 and i have very strange Network problem:
When im on the way- the netwok works (means i can call and get calls) but i dont get the data network to work (i have low data network signal). Means i cant get even Whatsapp messages:

}
When im at home- in certain places i dont get any network signal. But i can see that the Sim Card is inserted:
Now, when i was trying to isolate that problem and i start to think what kind of problem it is exactly. If it is software (Android version or modem- ill burn ROM on it and so) or Hardware problem (in that case i will buy the network housing or the part i will need to buy to fix that) but i cant get determin what cuase that exactly.
Can you please help me to solve this?
My phone details are:
I also have the infamous Knox void enabled to 1 (Samsung dont have real warrenty or support if that matter) but i dont think this is the cuase :
By the way, my wife have the same phone with the 5.0.1 android version and she can get full Network and data network all ove our home or outside. Anywhere.

Problem with changed IMEI Samsung A20e (SM-A202F/DS)

Hello, I'm new here so please go easy on me
My Samsung A20e (SM-A202F/DS) has got stolen while ago. The cops found the phone in a neighbouring country but it was already tinkered with. After it was returned to me, it had a problem booting. I can't remember the exact error, but I managed to fix the issue by re-flashing the firmware with Odin. Problem is, the phone does not register with my network provider anymore - in other words my SIM card doesn't work with it, I get no telephony or mobile data. After further investigation I discovered that the IMEI of the phone appears to be changed - the ones reported by the About menu does not match the ones printed on the back of the phone itself. Can this be the cause of the problem? Can someone please help?

Are you sure you flashed the correct firmware?

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's the correct one, model, country and everything. Downloaded it from: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-a20e/firmware/SM-A202F/BGL/download/A202FXXS3BUC1/1530187
