cheap phone. middle class. problems with custom rom. strange

Hi there, I am relatively new to the forum, and been trying to follow the threads as much as possible. I have currently got an S4 i9505 running omega v12 -ZHUDMI1 and 4.2.2 AND KERNEL 3.4.62-ABYSS
My problem is I work in Saudi so have a Saudi sim along side my UK sim, now when on stock rom etc I could change the sims out no problem, but when I tried it after rooting and flashing omega, I ran into a few problems. It kept rebooting, and once rebooted the screen was blank apart from the service line at the top.
I know I have to choose the sim when flashing this particular rom, is there any way around swapping sims without flashing back to stock as I really like omega for now.
Cheers

Hey guys,
About 2 months ago I brought an i9505, it's overseas stock I think it had firmware for Netherlands? Anyway it worked perfectly fine in Australia. No issues what so ever. I recently though ok I really want to root my phone and install an AOSP rom. I flashed the 4.4.4 Google Play Edition rom located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557353 I also tried out a few other ROMs but with every ROM I had this problem with reception dropping down to 1 bar randomly, then at times the antenna would be gone all together and had some circle with a line through it. Sometimes it comes back but if I leave my phone over night when I wake up in the morning I cant send sms's or make calls.
I don't know what im doing wrong ive followed the instructions corresponding to the ROM developers notes. I really don't want to return to stock firmware because that's the only firmware that currently works fine.
Cheers.
I don't always ask for help online because I believe that whatever problem I have, someone out there already has it, so I just need to look better. Not this time though. I'm literally dying.
I've installed Custom ROMs before and reverted them back to stock before but it was on a Galaxy NEXUS. It was seamless.
I have a n900W8 Note 3, this is the canadian variant. After a long day, I managed to root it and install CWM recovery, but didn't install a custom ROM. The next day (today), I installed an AOSP ROM and it worked fine but I wanted a TouchWiz ROM. After trying out 2 and getting stuck in a bootloop, I went back to the AOSP ROM. I then tried one last one, X-NOTE. Apparently it wiped my internal storage. You should see what happened to me when I realized that.
So I now just want to go back to the stock firmware but that's not easy, because I live in Jordan, which is in the middle east, but my phone is a canadian variant. But, The CSC Code for it was TTT, which is for Trinidad and Tobago. Wait, there's more. When Installing X-Note, it asked me which CSC code do I want to install. it had 5 options I think and TTT wasn't one of them. I chose BTU which is for UK.
So now I want a firmware that isn't carrier locked so I can use whatever SIM Card I put in it.
There's this article, and it says :
"You might find 2 types of firmwares even within a particular model number. Such firmwares are generally known as Branded and Unbranded ones. If your device is locked to a network provider/carrier, it’s a branded device. Therefore you must install a firmware that is meant for your carrier. Similarly, if you are able to use any SIM card on your phone, it’s unbranded, and so you can install any firmware on it that is for unbranded Note 3.", well, how the hell do I know which one is branded and which one isn't :crying:.
Seriously guys, I'm desperate for help. The phone actually isn't mine, that's why I'm freaking out. I still have my Galaxy Nexus and I love it. Even after 3 years, it is still working perfectly. The developer support for it is absolutely amazing.
Hi everyone. I'm thinking about flashing Superman ROM on my SM-G935F S7 Edge.
My stock firmware indicates that my baseband version is G935FXXU1BPHJ. The Superman ROM, on the other hand, uses G935FXXU1BPIF.
My question is the following: If I were to flash Superman on my phone, would this baseband difference affect my phone? Would radios fail to work or would I suffer from any other problems?
I'm using the phone in South America (Argentina) and the stock firmware works just fine, since this is the international variant of the phone. I am not that savvy when it comes to Android yet, since I'm pretty new to the platform.
Thanks.
Small p.s. questions: Is there anything in particular I need to disable before flashing a rom? Some security measures?
I've just bought a cheap used P585M. I've trying to look in this forum if it's possible to root it, if there are custom roms for it, etc, but it's impossible since every time I search the model name, it shows me threads for other A6 models instead. So here are my questions:
What's the go-to tutorial/thread for safely rooting it?
Are custom roms from similar models compatible with it? If so which ones, and will I lose anything other than LTE? Will the stylus and its pen pressure still work?
What even is the difference, if any, from P585 to P585M?
edit:
I've found the answer to the first question: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...covery-official-twrp-galaxy-tab-10-1-t3473023
Hopefully I won't brick it.
