Need Help with TowelRooted Slow, Lagging Verizon Galaxy S5 - Verizon Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

For starters, I am a real novice despite the fact that I TowelRooted my Verizon Galaxy S5 about a year ago.
I'm running 4.4.2 (Kernel version: 3.4.0; build number: KOT49H.G900VVRU1ANCG) and my phone is sooooo slow with frequent lag.
Do I need to unroot? Re-root? Update?
I have no idea.
In view of the fact that I am essentially a novice, I would really appreciate step-by-step guidance.
Thanks so much.
Mike

[Q] Galaxy S4 question - Is there a way to put CM on my phone

Hello XDA forum members,
I have searched these forums for the last few days so hopefully I am not wasting anyone's time and this question has not been asked. Is there a way to put CM on the S4 variant below? I have attempted to use CM installer with no success because the device is not supported. I was going to attempt to side load the rom to the phone, but had second thoughts after reading the warning on CM's wiki. I was also unsure which variant to use. I know that the phone is GSM, and that it runs on the AT&T network via straight talk, but beyond that I don't think that the phones software is the same as the actual At&T variant. I would love to have CM on my phone, but I would like to be sure that it will not brick my phone unnecessarily. If anyone knows of any information regarding the installation of CM on this phone, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,

Rooting Galaxy S5 LTE-A G906K

Hi guys. Been a long time since I've rooted a phone. To be honest, I think the One-X was the last phone I rooted. Anyways, I'm having some trouble, well confused.
I'd like to root my phone, just root. No other ROMs or anything but cannot seem to find a thread to satisfies my phone.
I have a S5 LTE-A, G906K currently on Android 5.0.1 and running lrx22x.g906kktu1bog2 .
But I cannot seem to find anything that matches the lrx22x.g906kktu1bog2 or is this not required and I can just flash using ODIN?
If possible, could you post links thanks.

Galaxy S4 Custom MOD/ROM help!

Hello! Pretty new in XDA forum and I have a couple of questions and concerns. I was browsing through some threads and I was wondering if I could get some opinion/help from other members.
I have a second phone that I want to mod and I need some help.
Device: Samsung Galaxy S4 (ROOTED)
Model#: SGH-M919
Android Version: 4.4.4
Baseband: M919UVUFNK2
It's an old phone and lately, it's been running really slow and if possible, I'd like to make it run as if it was brand new or at least somewhat close. So the question is, are there any recommended stable roms/mods I could use and if there are/is, will I be able to use it with my rooted phone or do I have to completely factory reset it before I apply the mods/roms?
Thank you!

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active on 4.4.2

Hello,
I recently bought an S5 Active off of Ebay and I'm using the bring your own phone plan on cricket wireless. Currently my phone is on 4.4.2 kit kat, and I know that lollipop has been released for a while, but my phone tells me that it is up to date. Is there any way I can update? I'm completely new to the world of ROMS and all this other stuff, so any help would be appreciated!
I asked this question on toms hardware and got a response saying
"definitely do not upgrade your phone over the air if you have 4.4.2 and it is a galaxy s5.
s5's that are on 4.4.2 kitkat are not bootloader locked and are highly desireable in aftermarket sale. your best bet if you "want" lollipop is to root and do a custom rom like cyanogen 12/13. i think there is even a 6.0 marshmellow rom too.
otherwise if you upgrade to stock over the air 5.0+ you will be bootloader locked, unable to ever revert back to kitkat, and unable to root and do a custom rom. 9 months later and nobody has cracked the bootloader and at this point it is likely nobody ever will with 6.0 marshmellow around the corner.
because of that your phone is probably worth $50-100 more than a 5.0+ s5 for that reason... there are those out there that would love to get their hands on your phone and root it and will pay more since you are still on kitkat and fully unlocked."
Honestly, I have no idea what that means so if anybody could help me out I would greatly appreciate it!

Upgrading Galaxy S5 G900A (AT&T variant) to Lollipop.

Hi guys,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 AT&T variant running Android 4.4.2. I am not in the US, and I do not have an AT&T sim so I cannot upgrade it to Android 5 Lollipop over the air.
I have searched all over the internet and also on this forum, and I'm very confused because I've read some conflicting reports on the upgrade path for this device.
Some articles mention I need to upgrade to android 4.4.4 before I can upgrade to android 5. Others do not.
My bootloader is not rooted, nor do I want to root it. I mention this because I have read in multiple places the rooting the G900A is a huge pain in the ass, and also that once you upgrade, Lollipop's bootloader cannot be rooted.
I have attached a screenshot of the baseband, kernel and build information. I would be eternally grateful if you could help me with this upgrade.
Mir.
