Compatible Headphones

Does anyone know if you can use headphones made for the iPhone with a Focus? The headphones that come with it are actually decent, but I'd like to upgrade and every set of headphones with an inline mic are made for iPhones. All I really need working is the microphone and volume control; the extra pause button isn't a big deal.
I just tried a Apple volume-enabled set of headphones and the play/pause/call button worked but not the volume control.
The mic and headphones work great though.
The headphones that come with the Focus have volume control on them, so maybe other non-Apple branded headphones would work with volume control.
Thanks for checking that. I guess it's not so bad to have the volume not working since the buttons on the device work with the screen off.
I picked up some cheap iFrogz Luxe and the work fine.
No volume control but the mic and pause worked OK.

I also picked up a set of Etymotic MC3's and they didn't work worth a damn.

Replacement headphones

Anyone knows what headphones + mic + control will work with the Focus?
I love the original ones!! but I haven't found any option with the same buttons
Thanks
I have broken my original ones and found out the Beats and skull candy which have a microphone are not compatible... sound goes through but microphone does not pick up sound.
I did find a few sites claiming compatibility with V-moda's vibe duo headsets and have ordered them online and will arrive today. I will post an update if the mic works with Focus.
EDIT; if you like my comments please give me a thanks

Thanks, please let me know if they work. Those v-moda's has the 3 buttons? in the remote control?
The original ones are perfect! I really like them even versus one expensive phillips ones with noise cancelling electronics
The v-moda's arrived and work perfectly. they don't have the three buttons but you can answer calls and what not... the sound quality is honestly phenomenal, they sound better than the beats headphones that I returned because of MIC incompatibility.
they are just as pricey as the Beats running you about 100 bucks but it is way worth it

But those earphones don't have volume control keys right?
Headphones
I've tried the klipsch s4i which has three buttons for the iphone. the pause/unpause button works and also can skip ahead or backwards by pressing twice/three times. the mic or the two volume buttons didn't work for me though.

right but they sound great and you can skip the track with double click
another headphone
so i tried another set of headphones. this time the headphones with an in-line remote that came with the third gen ipod. Same things work such as the klipsch, pause, play, skip, and backwards work. you can also use this and klipsch to answer calls but the mic doesn't work so its kind of pointless. the volume buttons don't work either.
i really would love to find better headphones than the stock ones, i like good quality headphones
Have you guys tried the OEM headphones from the Captivate?

[Q]JayBird BlueBuds X Sport Bluetooth Headphones

Does anyone use these headphones with this phone???
I have a nasty rattling sound coming from both earphones
Rap and EDM music play sort of fine, but when ever i play metal i hear that rattling, slightly distorted sound
was messing around all morning with viper4andorid trying to clear it out but no luck
already replaced these 2 times :/
Same Problem
I've been having the same problem with the pair of Jaybird Bluebuds X I received just a while ago. Whenever I pair it with my LG G2 I always get rattling noises during songs with high frequencies, e.g High hats and cymbals. But when I pair the bluebuds X with an Ipod Touch it sounds fine. Is this just a problem with the LG G2's bluetooth being incompatible with that of the Bluebuds? I'll do some more testing and post back the results.

[Q] Nexus 4 headset mic volume problem

I have a Nexus 4 and I don't have a matching headset. I did not buy the Google Play Store headset because I do not like plugin earphones. I tried the headset that comes with iPhone 4S and it works, however during calls the mic volume is very low, while the earphone volume is just unbearably loud. Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?
I assume this has something to do with impedance. Again, however, I cannot find this key information in Nexus 4's specification or the Google Play Store headset's. This can also be compatibility or software issue. But I read somewhere on the internet that unfortunately the mic volume and the earphone volume are not separately adjustable on Nexus 4. If that's not the case, please give me a guide as to how to do it. I am running factory 4.4 rom, rooted and GravityBox installed. If it has something to do with compatibility and/or impedance, please recommend a model (with mic) that works best with Nexus 4 which is not plugin when it comes to earphones. In terms of sound quality, I am not picky. To me, the iPhone headset isn't bad in sound quality. And I'd be totally satisfied if the sound quality is at the same level or close to a Sennheiser MX500.
Thanks!

Apple Headphone Controllers Do Not Work

Hey all
Just bought a new pair of headphones. Unlucky for me, the Urbanears Reimers headphones I bought were only for Apple. Mic, play/pause button works but Volume up/down does not. If there any way to fix this with software? Some modified kernel?
I also read that MM fixed this problem. Can anyone confirm?
