Well if you wanna flash another rom then you are gonna have to wipe it all.
Many people do dirty flashes but that can kill your phone of you do the wrong kind of dirty flash.
You can do titanium backup but in my experience that causes more trouble then good 60 to 70 % of the time.
My recommendation is do a full wipe before you flash new rom and always do a wipe on internal sd card as well so that would leave the rom you are gonna flash on external sd card.
I find custom roms to be much better then stock. Obviously not a v1 or 2 of a custom rom but the higher version number gets the more stable and bugless the rom bee's.
Edit h **** I miss understand you lol.
You want to remove bloatware then custom rom is the best way. Keeping the note and spend features then don't flash cm or miui roms. Any not too debloated rom will have all features of stock note without the bloatware.
Hope I understood your question right this time [emoji12]

Hello.
It's the fist time I'm gonna flash a modded Rom cause after a year the phone its staring to do weird things. I'm still at 4.3 Jellybean.
My phone is rooted with stock TouchWiz.
The less wissles and options the better. I don't use the S-pen and would like to have a simple and battery friendly Rom with a good camera app.
Also I'm worry for the sdcard problems i read everywhere and stability.
I guess a Rom with 4.4.4 is better than 4.4.2 but in this so not sure.
What Rom do you recommend?
Thank you!
first you need to choice if you want TW or CM rom...
if TW you need to upgrade bootloader and flash stock KK rom and root and flash custom...
if CM11 no need to upgrade KK and you can flash what you want
for CM12 you need KK bootloader too
Thank you for quick answer.
I read that Cyanogenmod Roms are not optimized and made for Note 3.
Is there a Rom made specifically for N9005 with the features I posted?
1. Go to the Note 3 Android development subforum.
2. Read about the different ROMs.
3. Decide which one you want to try.
4. Flash it.
5. Repeat as necessary.
There are no short cuts. Do the research yourself, only you know if you'll be happy with your choice.
Ok thank you.
Will all the Kitkat based Roms have issues with the Sdcard I read I forums?
I recommend to you the rom which made by Alexander.. And omega rom as a second choice.. Good luck

please, i have this rom
[ROM][N9005] Galaxy S5 Stock ROM - Final v40.0 - Clean, Fast and Stable - [OTA]
have i already in kk bootloader? or not sure? how can i check?
thanks
I'm trying to find Alexander Rom you suggested but i cant find it in the forum. (I'm new with all this about roms).
What is the name of Alexander's Rom?
Well you can use stock ROM, and uninstall all the nonsense apps with any root supported uninstall app, but you still will be forced to have those S related features, S-Scroll, S-Stay and all those nonsense features (which I never have used, ever). Now if you AOSP way then you won't have all those things and you will have a clean ROM but you will miss the lovely S-Pen integration of TouchWiz based ROMs.
So you have to decide according to your preference. I don't believe that AOSP/CM based ROMs are 100% bug free for Note 3, but please correct me if I am wrong. I am an AOSP lover too.
And I also don't believe 4.4.4 has much advantage over 4.4.2 other than some security patches.

Hi, I wanted to try a costum ROM on my note 3 because the official note 3 ROM has a lot of unwanted apps that just fills up my memory.
Looking on the threads, I see a lot of custom ROMs available that doesn't make it easy to start. So my question is which costum ROM do you prefer and why will you recommend me to get that one? Thank you in advanced!!
Just in case, my model is the one on the screen shot
Why don't you start with one where you understand the instructions .

I'd say go for Temasek's CM12.1 AOSP ROM. It's MUCH smaller than any stock Rom, & support is pretty good and it FLIES. I've now posted 2 Antutu scores over 49,000 - and I know benchmark scores are not real life performance but I never got over a 44,000 in any stock ROM.
If you want to stay based in stock, a very good custom ROM is Alliance ROM - think it's at v8.1 now.
HOWEVR, and this applies no mater what ROM you look at... READ, READ, READ... Learn what rooting is, learn about Recovery and why Odin on the PC is necessary. The more you understand about what you are trying to do the less likely you are to be posting back in the Q&A with... "Help! My phone is bricked!"
As you can see I have a exynos Chip so I need a ROM compatible to that.
I had done flashing in the passed when I have my Samsung Galaxy Duos so I have read a bit. But there are soooooooo much ROMs now that I dared to ask the question

Your choice of roms for N900 is limited to these .

Hello all!
I want to root my Note 4 so I could remove bloatware, earphone volume restriction, wakelocks, etc and use a custom ROM but, reading at the forum, it looks like somethings are different now since I last rooted a phone( LG G2). Can you guys help me with some question?
1- I have a Galaxy Note 4 910C with 5.1.1 stock rom installed. What kernel( I don't want anything special here, only an good overall perfomance and battery life) do you guys think I should use since now a custom kernel is must for rooting?
2 - I'm also looking into using DN5 or Sixperience custom ROM and I always see people talking about new bootloader and modem. What are those?
3 - Is anything else I should know before rooting( custom kernel -> TWRP for recovery - Custom ROM)?
Thx in advance

1-2. If you need all the functions of the phone then stock kernel is best as some of it don't work right on custom kernels unless the developer of the custom rom has done something about it when changing the stock kernel for a custom. "Welcome to TW roms" Compared to other manufactures its a pain in the beep to use Sammy's TW but I do love the whole spen feature.
I don't have a C so cant tell you much about there battery life but a solid rom on stock kernel can be very good and mix it with what ever app you use to freeze apps and its good. I use 3c toolbox "paid version" the best app ever.
Bootloaders and modems must match the rom version you want to flash or you will end up in bootloops so example if you want coi3 based rom then bootloader and modem must be coi3 as well or it wont work. in odin BL = bootloader and CP = modem.
3. use odin to flash the recovery and rooting I cannot remember as I did that only once which was a few weeks after note 4 was released so much could have changed since that.
Hello everyone,
I personally never owned a Samsung device (always Nexus and mostly with Paranoid Android or Dirty Unicorns ROM) but my girlfriend has one and she defeniately needs it to be flashed :good:
As I am completely new to Samsung devices, I have no idea about all the developers and different ROMs that are out there for the Samsung Note 4 (Snapdragon).
I don't have much time to try around with different ROMs as it isn't my phone.
I need one that is good, stable, fast (and also supports the stylus / samsung apps). So I can flash it quickly and have a happy girlfriend
So that is the reason I an asking in the first place. Else I would just flash around and keep trying until I find the best fit.
I saw CM is officially supporting the Note 4. So that one might be a good solution. But does it have all those stylus samsung stuff?
Any other ROMs I should check out?
Do I need to flash a new radio?
Thanks in advance and sorry for posting another "which ROM" thread. But I can't really test around to find out on my own as it is not my device that I am going to improve !
If n910g, this is highly recommended, although you have to disable or uninstall later all apps that you don't want if you want a debloated rom.

It is N910F.
The link you provided is simply stock android MM?
Yes stock MM, stock is in my experience the most stable and bug free rom build. But the link is for n910g unfortunately.
Stock ROM, and then debloat yourself. Quite honestly speaking, and no offence to anyone, there are no good ROMs available for Note 4. In fact I myself might have not got the phone if I realised the development section is like this. And I am not interested in ported ROMs, so even though there are many available I won't go that way, and I am too dumb to make a ROM for myself, so stock ROM it is.
I agree, stock rom rooted and debloat it, and apply msm tweaks. If you want, xposed as well.

You must flash samsung based rom to have all soen features and samsung apps. I reconnemed kurama rom which in using , its battery friendly, fast and stock based. If you going to flash kurama rom you must flash modem and bootloader for the rom to boot up (only can be flashed from pc with odin)
Hi all,
I got a used Redmi3s , So im planning to reset the phone completely and use it as a secondary Phone.. MIUI Rom has so many bloatware and im used to CM roms easiness and light weight .. So i had plan to Unlock BootLoader, Flash TRWP and Any Custom ROM .
Now is it worth to Flash Custom ROM as i need a stable rom with battery ?
Or i shuld just root the MIUI and Uninstall almost all Unwanted MIUI apps. My concern is mainly on apps which run on background and use my Internet ...
Hope to read some user reviews on CUSTOM ROM and Stable ROM ...
Custom ROMs are always better than MIUI in terms of battery, speed, updates, etc. But MIUI is what you pay for and stability is always higher. Since you've unlocked the bootloader and have a custom recovery, why not try a custom ROM and then decide.

Miui 9 is fast as advertised. And I believe the camera problem you mentioned must be about google camera or a new ROM which appeared recently. Google camera modded has that new bokeh features now available for our device. As a result, it has trouble with other functionality. But stock camera in custom ROMs have no issue at all. And there is a camera issue in Cosmic OS official which will get fixed in future updates.
Anyways it all comes down to your personal preference- MIUI or Custom ROMs.

Stock rom minus bloatware is better imo. I've been on stock rom minus bloatware for a long time. It's stable, bug free and I don't have to flash new rom every week. Battery life is amazing, 10 hr SOT.

After rooting your phone install titanium backup to delete bloatware. Or you can also try this bloatware removal script
