Xperia won't connect to 3G

I apologize if this subject has been already raised, I searched the forum but didn't find any info on this subject. I didn't do anything to my phone, like debrand or download some new software update, except for installing GDE but I don't think it's the problem. Phone doesnt seem to connect to 3G anymore, Wifi is ok but not 3G. I don't even see the small arrows on top with 3G icon which usually appear when it's out of Wifi area. MMS & data is checked like it's supposed to be. It was working fine before and just today stopped working. I tried restarting the phone - doesn't help. Any ideas ?

Found the problem. Has to reset APN. Juice defender was intruding. However I decided to keep it.

Unlocked X10 won't connect to 3G
I recently bought an unlocked Xperia X10 from Amazon and used the automatic internet settings to set up the AT&T APNs, but I can't connect to the 3G network.

3G connection issues

I'm having random 3G connection issues on my Samsung Focus.
At radndom times 3G connection is lost and the only way to get it working is to turn off and on the phone.
I tried putting the phone into airplane mode, turn off/on data, turn 3G off/on, nothing works, only a reboot works.
Today I checked my email on my phone and it says;

We're having a problem connection to exchange.xxx.com. Try again later.
Last tried 2 seconds ago
Error code: 80072FA8
This error shows up on all 3 emails I have setup.
IE doesn't work, Zune, any app requiring 3G connection.
And this happens at random times, at least once a day.
The phone has the lastest updates and is jailbroken.
One other thing to mention is, the phone is now having the 3G connection issue but i have it theathering to my computer and the internet connection is working while theathered, cause i'm posting this email.
I have no idea what's happening or how to fix it.

Mine is unlocked AT&T Focus, when I'm using indosat (IM3) carrier, I'm having this issue. I downloaded Network Profile from Samsung Zone. After reboot the device, the network profile still pick AT&T, and I can't change it to my carrier.
Then I tried change my carrier to 3, after reboot the phone, the network profile changed to 3 INA. And after that I haven't got that issue till now.
Not sure what caused this. But when I looked at the registry there's a bunch of duplicated APN settings.

I had a similar issue, Focus AT&T on EU network.
Chevron unlocked and enabled the 3G toggle.
From time to time, I couldn't download from Marketplace or use the 3G connection. That was before I updated to NoDo. I haven't experienced this again since I updated.
To fix that, I used to toggle 3G off and on again after 15-30 seconds.
Sometimes, even that didn't work and I had to leave 3G off. Any lower data connection was working while 3G wasn't.
Speaking of data connection, not everyone is aware that after updating to NoDo, HSUPA is disabled on AT&T.

I'm having the same issue.
I´m using an unlocked at&t samsung focus at my local carrier.
I have this issue a few times a day, and the only way to restore my internet connection is rebooting.
I have noticed that this happens when my phone changes to Edge and goes back to 3G again. The issue doesn't seems to happen every time, but sometimes I lost connection.
Did you managed to solve this?

I was having the same issue, being unable to connect to 3G. Just go the first page after Googling: set att apn. AT&T users should put in the APN, username and password. Hope it helps! It worked for me. =D

[Q] Mobile data issue

Hey!
I have found a really weird issue since (officially) updating to lollipop (N910C, BOC3). Initially, mobile data worked fine, but after a day or two I noticed, that after going off of wifi, I only got edge connection. I rechecked the settings, restarted the phone but the phone just doesn't go past edge (to 3g or hsdpa; no lte yet for me).
So I then chose to hard reset my phone, wipe cache and reinstall everything. At first, everything went fine and I had H+ connection, no problem. I tried to enable/disable wifi and mobile data a couple of times, but all seemed fine. Today (after 1 day), I noticed again that mobile data is stuck on EDGE.
As far as I remember, everything worked fine on 4.4.4. I even rechecked my sim and settings on my old XperiaZ, where H+ works normally.
Any ideas?

Update: After messing around, I found that by setting the network to wcdma only, allowed the phone to connect to 3g. This means that when left on automatic network mode, the phone choses 2g network and won't switch to 3g even if it is available... Do you guys know a setting where you can tell it to preferentially chose 3g, while on the auto network mode? P.S. I don't have any battery saving options turned on...

Bump... No one knows how to set preferred connection type?

Are you in a room when you are testing? Have you tried to go outside, and while you are connected to edge or H/H+ , open up your internet browser and go to a website and watch your connection if it changes to LTE or 4G...
There is an app that can do what you are asking but you have to root your device in order for it to work... I can't remeber what it's called and I know someone will chime in...

Thanks for your suggestion. I am not rooted yet and will try to keep it that way for a little while yet... will see how long i'll last xD
Manual mode will have to suffice for now, seeing as rooting is the only option. Might be a carrier setting related problem =/

One plus two 3g not working

Got my Oneplus two yesterday. Although I'm extremely happy with the phone I have this teething problem.
Once I updated right away and kept the sim in I got the 3G signal as there is no 4G where I live. Now everything works OK except the data. Once I switch on the data it works for about 30 seconds and stops although the H sign is still there. I have tried manually entering the APN and the problem still persists. Network is not a problem because same sim in my old phone gives continuos data in 3G. Strangely 2G data works with no problems!
In the forum one plus one had same problems but no direct solutions. Is this a recurring problem? Should I return the phone or replace?

Note 4 910F strange wifi and 3g/2g conflict / network issue

Hello guys i'm new here and I am confronting a strange issue with my Note 4 Sm910F, the phone works great ultil I connect it to my home wifi, then the nightmare begins, the wifi works very well but after 20 min my network (3G or 2G or LTE, it doesn't matter) drops but I still have all bars, so I cannot make calls or send messages, if I go to Settings>Networks to switch between LTE 3G 2G it doesn't let me, it stays locked, I must restart the phone to regain celular network and then after a while it repeats the problem again and again. I'm sick of it already, also I tried different roms but no luck, I said that the phone have hardware issues sooo NOW the baddest part is that I sold the phone and bought a fresh new sm910F that DOES THE SAME PROBLEM !!!
I tried with another wifi router, still same problem, my old note 3 works okay on the same wifi.... i`m out of ideas.
Please help with any advice. Thanks.

If Smart network switch is active, turn it off.
That's the only thing I can think of that's causing the problem.

it doesn't matter if I have that on or off...the celular network keeps crashing after a while if I am conected to my wifi. if i'm not using the wifi everything is okay.
