Hi want go back from Beta to stable but currently its not poosible.
I tried to flash the stable zip file in stock recovery but this wont work, installation aborted after 1-2 seconds with no success. Also sideloading aborted after 47%.
Can anybody help me, are there factory images for flashing to stable stock?
Thanks
flash twrp recovery (via fastboot) and install stable zip through twrp recovery.
I presume you've backed up your files from storage because moving between major releases requires a full wipe;
Do a "Fastboot -w" to completely wipe the userdata folder
Install TWRP with "fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img" (or whichever filename it has)
Reboot the phone into TWRP while connected to your computer
The phone should appear as a drive on the computer, if not go into TWRP and mount folder and make sure data is ticked
Copy over the 4.5.14 release
Try installing that with TWRP which should, in the process, replace the recovery with the official one
See how you get on
You have got to use the specific roll-back image. You can find it at the ob1 announcement forum post
Hello Guys it´s me again. (i know im annoying )
Well, i did a Factory Reset in dotOS and it Rebooted into TWRP.
However, Normally a Phone would then Perform the Action in the Recovery but in this Case it did not do it. So i Reflashed the Rom.
After that it Rebooted into TWRP again. I Tried to Access the Bootloader with Vol Down + Power. That also Booted into TWRP. After that i Selected Bootloader in the TWRP Reboot Options. That Booted the Phone into the Mode where i Flashed the Recovery but it did not Give me the Options like META MODE, FACTORY MODE etc, when i tapped the Volume Buttons. Only a Black Background with White text Saying :
> FASTBOOT mode...
> device unlocked
I Tried to Restore my Stock TWRP Backup but that did not Solve the Issue. I also tried to Reflash dotOS but same issue.
What else Can i do to get this fixed ? I never had a Problem Like this on any Sony or Samsung Device i tinkered with. Thats why im asking that much.
@Marc_Xperia Do not forget to install no-verity-opt-encrypt zip file or simple disable *system verifier* in kernel ramdisk.

It's very simple
-boot into recovery
-wipe
-advanced wipe
-clear / format cache & dalvik
-reboot _choose reboot recovery
-select mtp file transfer mode in twrp
-push LATEST* magisk zip
-push clean copy of dotOs
-then do FULL WIPE (all) but not your sd or internal sd/data
-install first dotOs zip
-install magisk zip
-wipe cache
-reboot
* If you fail check what is selected under the mount section & report back
If problem persists flash an older version of recovery using SPflashtools and then older version of dotOs with magisk
_do full wipe first
#some new recoveries had errors so make sure you are running ABSOLUTE latest or OLDEST version of twrp
# I haven't tried the last or latest version of dotOs yes ( older versions worked 100%)

Download this tool .
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634801704
Extract the .rar
Inside the folder there is recovery by XNlogos with zero errors
This tool can also inject recovery using fastboot or unlock bootloader in automated manner & flash custom boot( with verity encrypt DISABLED)
I am trying to install some custom rom, below roms are tested and no way to done it:
Xtended, Pixel experience, PE, MSMXtended!!!
all of them is not possible to install via TWRP or OrangFox!
after zip installation in recovery mode, the device will be on loop on fastboot and/or recovery and nothing happening on this type of installation!
I tested to sideload system.img, boot.img etc...
any help will be welcome.
You NEED to "Format Data" (not "Wipe" > "/data", it's the "Format Data" button).
EDIT: You may need to install a good firmware too, just follow installation steps of the custom ROM...
Im having the same issue did the format fix it?

Guide for install custom ROM
1- boot to recovery
2- select format and type "yes"
3- reboot recovery
4- now wipe data, catch, dalvik catch
5- install ROM and reboot
** Some ROM work only with global vendor. You must first install vendor zip file with twrp (or vendor img with fastboot comment in your pc/linux/mac)
For example: My Mi 9T firmware is (Russian Gobal). I got error when try install Pixel Experience Plus. I install Global Vender with TWRP, then install rom zip file without any problem. (I am on stock miui with locked bootloader now)

Will this be able to format data on Android 10 encryption like SHRP?
Flashed it from fastboot but doesn't come ,only comes fastboot mode ?
Only Sharp works in 10 properly.

It just won't boot. You can still recover from this by enabling the setting in twrp and reformatting data.
You will lose data regardless of this being enabled because this is only used for formatting data. That's what formatting data does

can I install shrp recovery zip and then miui12...
what I will do is -->
1. install this recovery in b slot through minimal adb
2. boot in twrp
3. install shrp recovery zip file (phone is still in b-slot)
4. change slot to a
5. reboot recovery
6. format data
7. install miui12
8. reboot
will this steps safely boot my device???
hello. first thank you very much for your hard work. i really apreciate.
so, i was on stock rom, freshly unlock the bootloader and flash twrp unofficial for android 10.
then in twrp i flash the zip installer and reboot to recovery.
once again in twrp i, like i'm use to, wipe successfully dalvik/system/data to erased all of stock rom.
then i format data (the one typing "yes" for confirmation) but it broke internal storage.
twrp does not show any file or folders. i rebooti in recovery but it won't show anything
i reflash twrp and the same... nothing.
so i went to fastboot mode and flash shrp, boot up in recovery but it was still not showing files or folders of internal storage. i wipe dalvik/system/data and reboot to recovey.
and this time it show folder but with codes like "QRGHQ9R4HGVUQE4RNG98TH9324HTG923" OR "66EFQ3KFK4TK34KT3K4K34K2KK2" and so...
what do i 'm doing wrong?
can i format data with out breaking internal storage?
the only thing i can do to get internal storage was flash stock rom again, i have not encrypted anything, i don't use microsd card, even i don't use password to unlock screen.
thanks in advance for your comments.

Ok you performed Format > And type "Yes" , actually this will Format your internal storage as well, RIP for your Data now else you took a backup earlier.
Now connect your phone to your PC with data cable , in mount section check if MTP is enabled if not then enable it , now your phone's internal storage shows in PC transfer Rom flash Zip files to internal storage, disconnect from PC and flash that rom.
Recovery choice is yours SHRP or TWRP
Note - Do not perform format > yes before flashing that zip.

Not able to flash recovery
I am on the latest stock android patch, probably that's why not able to flash recovery.
First I tried TWRP 3.3.1-2 Unofficial by Nikesh Kataria from the other post. As it said it supported android 10 with decryption and everything. But it didn't work.
Now with version 3.4.0-0, I am able to boot into recovery using platform-tools. But the files in /sdcard seems to be encrypted (judging by the codes shown instead of readable folder names).
Could someone please help me suggest any recovery which supports latest stock android 10 with decryption?
Is there a way around this?

Decryption will only work if you format data first. This is with every recovery. Has to be a factory reset of stock ROM or fresh install of custom ROM and from then twrp will be able to decrypt if it is installed, you're not installing it either by the way just temporarily installing it to inactive slot which will get wiped on reboot. For twrp to decrypt you must install it using the installer.zip by flashing it in you're temporarily installed twrp.img

Thanks for the help.
But after booting into twrp, how do I install twrp.zip. I even tried sideload that also errors out "Unable to find partition for path /cache".
May be I am missing some step. But here is what I have done.
Unlocked bootloader.
Booted into TWRP on inactive_slot(i.e. slot_b , in my case) with command fastboot flash boot twrp.img
Trying to install twrp.zip (failing at this step itself).

Flash twrp installer zip after flashing rom zip
Hi guys, I have a Nexus 6P, and I'm stuck with a problem.
I have twrp 3.40-0 recovery and I from it when I try to start the ADB sideload it doesen't start and in the top menu there is a red text with "Failed" in the console there isn't any error. I've tried re-flashing the twrp recovery and even using the version before but the sideload won't start.
The other problem is: I uploaded to my phone a Havoc ROM, Gsuit and Magisk, so from the recovery I install the Havoc ROM and then I try to install the Gsuit and Magisk but it gives me updater error (Error is: "Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error insaling zip file '/data/media..") .
I've tried reloading the file onto the phone (enabling the debug mode in the new os) but again when I try to install them from the recovery the same error shows up again.
What can I do? (Magisk worked because before flashing the new ROM I have installed it and it worked)
Thanks for your help

hmm reflash bootloader, radio and vendor then re flash twrp as well wipe your data Wipe> Format data type Yes
Reboot to recovery then follow these steps:
Flash rom and gapps
Wipe > Format data > Yes
Reboot recovery
Flash magisk
Reboot system
Edit: Mine method doesn't need side loading, also u can check your drivers.
