Hi guys, i dont know what the root cause of my Nexus 10 that suddenly shuts down even at 100% battery level.. Then if I'll turn it on again it will only boot on the swirling four colored circles, then will turn off.. if i plug charger to it, it shows charging but at a drained battery level..
I would like to know who also experienced the same issue and have you tried to resolved the problem? how?
What is this actually, a system/software-sided battery malfunction? or is it battery-hardware related?
If this is a software-related maybe i could just re-flash and wipe everything to my nexus 10, to refresh the tablet,. If the battery itself is the problem, im in big trouble.. as the nexus 10 battery replacement is kind of hard to find..
I dont know what to do. Please help save my nexus 10! Thank you in advance guys! :fingers-crossed:

Has anyone here faced this problem?
I cannot fully charge tablet to 100%. When it goes around 92 - 96% (it depends) it stops charging. Power button is changing color from red to white sometimes and goes back to red.
What more.. When it goes down below 30% (22-28%) it shutdowns suddenly without any message and it looks like that battery is empty. I have to plug in charger to turn it on again.
I don't know if its only battery meter problem or something hardware related. Acer is brand new. I bought it 5 days ago.
Any ideas?
This is definetly not right. I would return it and get another one. Sounds like the battery or electronics for charging have an issue.
Sounds like faulty battery.
I agree a faulty battery. I had to return a tablet for replacement because it wouldn't charge at all.

I did the same. Now I'm waiting for a new one and we'll see
I would say its bad battery.how long has it done this?.how long can you use it on a charge.those things should help figure it out.maybe try a factory reset thou it does sound like the battery
Im totally at a loss here. I have tried like 5 different batteries in this thing, different chargers and nothing helps.
When it is off it just gives me a red light. Then when it turns on, it will only stay on when its plugged into the wall. When I wake it up it just shows 0% charging all the time. It never goes above 0%. When I unplug it it just dies instantly.
I've tried the same battery in another G1 and it turns on and registers that its a good battery.
I know there are some battery calibrators out there, but is this a known issue or is this a hardware issue?
Thanks for your help in advance,
Dan
Probably cleaning the battery stats may help you.

as above, u may try wiping battery stats from the recovery menu....
or maybe there's something wrong with the hardware....
Hi there, I purchased my 7.7 Tab 3 weeks ago. Loved it as expected. I've got few concerns about the battery though. Hope someone can share solutions / experiences with me.
The battery life isn't so impressive as I heard about from reviews and all. It lasts hardly 48 hours after a full charging with no real use for more than 30 minutesx2 times within less than 48 hours. However, it was connected to WiFi all the time and was syncing as well (but on standby all the time). Now another bugging problem is that when I plug the charger after the battery having completely drained and the device is turned off by itself (before completing 48 hours), the screen shows a warning logo first instead of the charging icon. The warning logo has warning sign and the icon of a drained battery with a red color at the bottom of it. I do not know what does that mean. I just know that when that appears, the device is not charging at all. I have unplugged and plugged it back 3 times to get it charging again. So far, it happened two times and I am sure it will happen again but I just want to know whether this is the sign of an unhealthy battery or any other parts of the device? This happened to anyone else? Your feedback is welcome and well appreciated.

sometimes... the cable is the culprit... a damage cable will gave the same error... btw.. it is not advisable to really drain the battery dry before charge it... but that just my opinion... just try to check the cable... and if there is anyone around you that having the same cable... test to charge your device with their charger...

First of all, you may not want to have left the battery completely drained, as this might damage the battery. Secondly, since your battery is completely drained, some undercurrent protection mechanisms must be activated, and there should have enough input current before the battery could be charged again. The data cable should not have enough current to charge up the battery at this state, it is lucky for you that you got it charging again after three trials.
If you drained up the battery again, it's recommended to charge it up with the AC charger.
Hi all , I've recently started having this problem with my n10 where if I let it die off on zero charge and then connect it to a charger ( proprietary , mobile chrgrs ,tried 'em all save for the pogo).the screen doesn't show anything and if I try to start it , it just shows an image with a battery charging icon (not the animation , just a static image ) for a while and then the screen goes black.
I've had this problem twice now and both times it seemed to return to normal after a while on the charger ( charging animation and all ). But I'm concerned that this is something serious . Any tips ?
Thanks in advance

You mustn't let it go down to 0%. You must charge it when the battery is around 45-50% more or less. Also you can check on google play, Nexus 10, they recommend what i'm telling you.

You're killing the battery by doing this to ANY Li+ battery. You shouldn't do that. Like above post said, or when at 10-15%, plug it in and leave it alone. What you're doing will override the safeties and permanently drain the battery, and potentially to 'true' 0%. When it reaches 'true 0%', you kill the battery permanently.
Thanks for your replies guys . The reason I was doing this was because of a few roms I flashed . After flashing, the battery indicator seemed to incorrectly show the battery percentage ( wouldn't go down below 90% for ages ) and I read somewhere that letting it shut itself off and then recharging would set things right .
Things are okay now but in case I get these battery indiacator problems again , what's the best recourse ?
Thanks in advance .

It could be your Phone Board Assembly (mainboard) and require RMA, in which case, they don't care if its rooted/etc. I had to send it in twice for that issue, as it turned out to be hardware, not software.
About 14 out of 15 times I fully drain the battery to zero. The 15th time I bump charge. I do this because I feel it gives better overall battery life.
Its impossible for me to state that (the above) without people chiming in about "how to do your battery"... Let me just say that I've researched that topic extensively, and am happy with my method. Please do not start a battery discussion thread jack here! Now, with that out of the way...
-You can drain your battery to 0% and not "break" any aspect of the device. When people talk "battery theory" they are mainly referring to the charge curve of the battery over time. Its impossible to harm this in "one or two charges", so if you truly do experience a problem then you may have a defective unit.
-Part of the behavior you describe does not sound broken to me. When the battery is fully dead, the unit cant power on. When you plug in the charger, the battery icon appears. It starts off as an empty battery. It should do a "charging animation" though, that I did not hear you say... Then, you cant power it back on immediately after plugging in the charger.
-The part you say about the indicator being off DOES sound like a problem that others are reporting here and there, and hands down dibblebill is an expert on that topic!
Sadly, I am. Keep demanding they replace your Phone Board Assembly when you call, otehrwise they'll swap your battery and send it back.
Hi,
recently I am experiencing this deadly problem .
my battery drains completely to the amount that phone can't even boot . biggest problem is that its like phone is not accepting charge . after it loses all the charge,it turns off . when I connect charger it vibrates randomly . it feels like battery doesn't even have the charge to load that Lenovo battery charging animation page(while switched off ). phone goes to soft brick stage .after a few vibrations(I think phone is vibrating one time before loading battery charging page ,phone can't even load that charging page ,may be due to very low charge .so it vibrates and attempts to load battery charging page, and it goes off . again vibrates... somehow it recovers from the loop after some time )it loads battery charging page , and would stuck at 2%,or 8% etc... after long some 6-8 hours phone regains control and charge normally and everything coming to normal .I can't figure out what this problem is . only thing I figured out is that this happens when phone reaches a certain low battery percentage like below 20% .
after that phone will not accept charge until it goes off and all the above things ...
pls someone look into this matter ,may be someone else might have experienced this or someone can give me a clue
This problem has been faced by many users, including me. I thought it was only me, until one of my friends faced it too. Apparently, there might be a problem with battery stats. If you charge when it is fully drained, It will vibrate a few times. This happens because, the phone always keeps 2% of battery for the offline charging screen to load(the charging screen while off). But when the phone's battery is fully drained to 0% then it will vibrate and stays like that before it can switch on. So to solve this, charge the phone and leave it like that until its fully charged or like when you feel it is stuck(while the phone is switched off only). Then switch it on, and fully drain it again. Now once again charge the phone and leave it. Then drain. Do not remove until the phone until it shows 100%. Repeat this few times. This is actually to calibrate the battery stats. Now you'll see that battery charges properly.

Are you on stock or custom rom? If you are on custom rom, you can enable usb fast charging and charge it with computer. It helped me.

i've tested most of the ROMs out here . thought it could be a ROM related issue . macblaze, mohancm, zormax ROMs . currently on zormax's Lineage OS 13 (Marshmallow) . which one to you prefer?

No. It's not rom related issue. Each rom has some unique capability. Any rom is good. You can use Kernel Auditor to enable usb fast charge and charge the phone with any computer. This will work on any rom which has a kernel which supports usb fast charge
hii, guys i have problem too, unfortunately from yesterday, my phone doesn't charge but it is charging but not showing, it stucks to 42% and usb/Mtp is not recognized after plugin to pc.. i had shown all by pc side there is no problem in my pc but there is problem resides in my phone by the way i am on stock rom, pls help guyss to get rid out of this.
