Moto Gallery Question - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Since I am new to Moto Gallery (and I am glad they added back Album view today), I was wondering if there was any way to get rid of the date overlay that pops up when you scroll through pictures? I've looked everywhere.

Album view

Anybody know of a way to setup the default album view to show the most recent pics up top first on 2.1? This is the one thing that irks me when trying to upload a pic.
It always shows the oldest pics up top and the newer ones WAY at the bottom. I have alot of pics so I'm constantly having to scroll and scroll to get the the most recent pic I took at the bottom in order to upload it somewhere or email it.

Can't view photos I took with the phone

Hey guys, this is a bit weird, but I'm *yay* close to returning my Atrix.
I can't view any of the photos I've taken with the phone. When I click on the photo in the default Atrix gallery, I get a quick flash of the thumbnail but then the Atrix fails to show the actual hi-res photo, and I get the image "filler icon" in the middle of the screen.
When I installed the 3D Gallery (the one on the Nexus) instead, I can only see the thumbnails, and when I click on them, I get what seems to be a stretched thumbnail.
I'm on a non-rooted, non-deodexed, Bell Atrix with the stock launcher. Is this thing a dud?

[Q] Changing Honeycomb Lockscreen Wallpaper

So I just got my Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and am loving it except for the fact that it wont connect to my Macbook pro. I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to change the wallpaper on the lockscreen besides the ones that samsung has provided. I have three options wallpapers, gallery and live wallpapers and only the images (which are provided by samsung) in wallpapers can be applied to the lockscreen. It also makes you crop the picture for the lockscreen before applying and it makes the picture look grainy. Anyone figured a work around for this?
Start in the Gallery app and open the image you want to use. Then go through the "Set As" menu and you will eventually be given the option to choose either Desktop or Lockscreen wallpaper.
And unfortunately I dont think there is a way around the blurry cropping that happens when you set the lockscreen. At least I havent found anything yet.
I used a pretty large picture source and don't see any obvious grain on the lockscreen. Also, while I was forced to make a cropping selection, the actual area displayed on the lockscreen appears to be larger than my crop selection. I haven't played around with this too much because I like how it turned out and I don't want to mess it up.

[Q] Where did the Motorola "photo" widget go?

I started using it about a month ago. Not the one that you can "play" and go through your photos, and pause to see the specific pic you've chosen.
The one I liked just let you put pics on your phone's desktop, and resize them however you saw fit.
But it seems that was a Froyo Motorola widget, and it's gone from Gingerbread. Anyone know the widget I mean, and can I add it back???

Home screen wallpaper cropping

So, in the android nougat days of the v20, in the gallery app you could crop photos when you set them as your wallpaper AND be able to use entire photos, But after updating to oreo it only has the crop option from google photos app, Which cuts off a majority of the photos when you set as wallpaper, a photo i previously used on my homescreen now somehow doesn't fit? Is there any way to get back the crop feature in gallery instead of the stupid google photos app??
Thanks..
