Really? They have basically confirmed that they will be providing the next version of Android to the Z instead of just abandoning it in favour of supporting the newer flagships that are releasing soon.
Seems like good news to me.

I'll try to compile an AOSP build of 4.3 for XZ when I get home from work if anyone is interested.

The fact that it will be released at all is good news. I have great patience regarding updates as I waited over a year for updates with my last phone (LG Optimus 2X).

I've had the device only a couple of months, and it's gone from .434 to .253 to .307 to .423 in just that short space of time. So I feel optimistic

Seriously??? Good news???? The Z was always going to get 4.3. Not getting it would have been disastrous.
It's a question of timing. When? This year? Next year?
The Z right now, more than anything else, needs a flipping update to sort out this buggy 4.2 crap laggy Rom.
Sometimes, I feel it has a mind of its own. I regularly pull my phone out of my pocket to discover strange goings on like mobile data off, Bluetooth on, so many apps open.
It's like it goes totally berserk sometimes.

dunno, i want to be happy, but i'm UK unbranded, so still on 4.1 and still 2 full updates behind the rest of the world.
The chances of getting 4.3? um how about somewhere between zero and none!
thats what it feels like to me!

But is is so easy to update to a Global 4.2.2. You are on XDA, that means you are not the average Joe, update with the tools the people over here provide us with.
Must whining and complaining infest every thread regarding updates? Even when good news is announced, the usual suspects surface to moan.
It's getting seriously boring now. If you're not happy, sell your phone and move to another manufacturer.

The slow and bad updates what we are unhappy with.
My wife have S4 and she get 3 ota updates within one month, seriously i don't know what they fix in this 3 updates cause the phone was very good without it.
Imagine that we are going to get 4.3 after 4 months you will still happy?
Sent from my C6603 using xda premium
Sure. The phone works fine without it. Just like it worked fine when everyone had the pitchforks and torches out because they thought Sony were taking too long over the 4.2.2 update. Look how rushing them then worked out. I would have waited longer to allow them more time to work out the slight kinks with 4.2.2.

By they took so long to release 4.2.2 and now it is a disaster compared to the last 4.1.2.

Works fine for me. I did a 'dirty' update via PCC without any wipes. I only suffered slight lags in the stock launcher, so I swapped to Nova.
This isn't my point anyway. Any time updates are even mentioned, the same people appear to whine about the same things over and over. Complaints about 4.2.2 are nothing to do with this thread in any case.

Hey guys.. The new color rom ui looks beautiful and fresh on the n1..just wondering would it be coming to the find 5 sometime?
I think sooner or later it will, color rom is already available for find 5 on the oppo forums, don't know if it's the same or a different version of color rom.
My guess is it will be the same ROM

if it isn't.... with oppo's track record on new-ROM creation, think the ColorOS for N1 will be stable, or beta-ware?
To be honest that's a great question. Firmware has gotten much better and continues to get better but can it be labeled "stable" with the amount of errors and problems some users are having... ? Not sure lol.. Hopefully stable
Sent from my Find 5 using Tapatalk 4
I'd rather see a ROM from CM with all the "features" such as Dirac audio and a fully featured camera app working.
The ColorOS got ported to htc one.. Seems like it can be ported to any phone with a base like miui.. Wow!

Yes it is im running it now. You can get it on oppos Chinese forums. I have to remove a load of chinese bloatware and install gapps but other than that its a nice cleaner looking feel.

I would expect this to be the next beta rom from oppo. They need to update there gpu drivers as the framerate is a bit funny but after I installed them it was fine.

Nope because it is so bad that I flashed AOKP 4.3 again. It is like latest Color ROM V1.01.
I thought they'll be using the same rom on all theire devices with, of course, device specific changes?

The question is do you need the warranty or not.
I decided i don't and i am enjoying a very fast and extremely stable cyanogenmod running on 4.4.2.

It will be interesting to see if the 4.3 will fix all the "bugs" from the 4.2 update. I have downgraded to 4.1.2 since I need full screen / correct aspect ratio on MHL, real Tablet UI, and there were also quite a few language/UI errors in my region.

Does anybody know if samsung is releasing a brand new refreshing interface with the new android 4.4 update or is it just the engine?
Would be really dissapointing if it will be just the engine and the look is just the same.

afaik one of the 4.4 features on the Nexus 5 (which also has a snapdragon 800 like most Note 3) was that they're piping music directly through the DSP and thus increasing playback time to 60 hours (from 30). I hope that's a feature that will also be available on the note 3

Change log....
Paranoid Android 6.0.1
Let's keep it short and simple: This one's for the dreamers longing for bug fixes. A lot of bug fixes and support for some awesome devices!...
For Nexus, the most important changes are the inclusion of June Security bulletin and Theme Engine updates. The bundled Browser application has been updated as well and all system update notifications will now come from us, and not from Google as it did for some specific users on the last release....

Wow, amazing, gonna try on mako first and see...aospa has always been one of the most beautiful Android experiences out there
Enviado desde mi Nexus 5X mediante Tapatalk
Got it all up and flashed and running... Doing really good so far! Battery seems pretty decent (even for the first two hours), and the experience has been really smooth so far. Stoked to let it run for a while and see how it pans out over time. I'm liking it overall, though. Definitely give it a go. Only thing is, it's on the May update instead of June, but that's really no big deal at all.
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
just flashing now
Is their kernel decent enough or should I just flash Phasma or elementalX?
Flashed, practically 0 personalization, just inmersive mode, battery percent, reorganiable quicksettings and peek for notifications, but seems to be runnig great so far on mako. When they update to June security patch I'll flash it on bullhead.
Btw very interested o battery life, so I'll be keeping an eye on your impressions with that
Cheers
Is there anyone willing to give a status.report after one days usage on battery/ overall performance / customisation ect..will be helpful to those who are in the need.ect thanks???

smoothness is almost same.
However, on PA, adb is not working for me

can anyone comment on notable features or performance compared to stock and/or pure nexus rom?
