I had been using rooted kitat for sometime. Everything was great. Then I installed a 5.0.2 Russian stock ROM and that ran fine too. But after a few weeks, I have been getting this problem. It seems the phone doesnt load apps and/or they keep crashing. The phone eventually hangs and reboots, and even gets stuck in a bootloop at times..I have tried flashing alternative roms through odin, i cleared the cache and wiped data through recovery but the problem persists...most of the apps that are glitching are google apps and sometimes systemui and phone....What else can I do?

Maybe you didn't factory reset before update to 5.0.2

Having an issue that I cant seem to figure out. I have been using various roms eg Omega V7,S4 Google Edition V16, Fox Hound 1.1 etc. They all install fine, factory reset before and after wiping the various cashes as required. I also format the SD storage to be sure, but once up and running, apps installed, every time I restart the phone or for some reason it freezes it just get stuck at the white Samsung S4 logo.
If i go back in to recovery (TWRP 2.6.0.0) factory reset does nothing to fix this. I have also noticed that sometimes the internal SD shows as 0 Mb, and I have to reformat this to re-install a ROM. (Getting corrupt some how?) Only re-installing the ROM from fresh seems to get my phone up and running again. Until something happens. Any ideas?
I follow all instructions as detailed, and never come across this issue with my S3.
Ok after trying a few things the only thing that seemed to fix the problem was reflashing stock firmware using oden.
I had to reformat the internal storage again as this was acting like it was encrypted, which it was not. Think this problem that caused my phone not to boot when when restarted.
No Idea why it did this but its fixed now.

So simple and fast!
I've had this phone for about 6 months, no serious issues other than some battery life issues that were fixed with a factory reset a few weeks back. Since that factory reset everything has been great. But yesterday my phone started rebooting randomly from every few minutes to about 2 hours in between reboots is the longest it's gone since it started. I am running stock rom and launcher, rooted. Also still on 4.2.2 and not 4.4 because it won't let me update since I am rooted. I couldn't figure it out so I factory reset again tonight. After factory reset it is still rebooting randomly. I have only installed about 10 apps since reset, nothing I didn't have before the problems started. It doesn't restart only when in a certain app. Has restarted multiple times when I'm just on the home screen.
Any ideas of where to start looking to try to figure this out?
I also experienced some reboots but all is working perfectly now, I don't know why.
It may be related to one of your apps? For instance, I have read elsewhere that facebook beta version caused reboots, do you have it installed? Maybe you should uninstall all or some of your apps, and try to find the guilty one?
I will try uninstalling apps, but I don't have any apps now that I did not have before the problems started.
V20G solved my random reboots issue, hyuray

I had rooted my S7 edge (Exynos) a few months ago. I tried installing the ambasadii.zip rom.
I also followed there instructions to the letter.
Upon restarting the phone it started loading the apps, but then stopped halfway and froze. Sometimes restarting to then freeze again.
I reinstalled Recovery ROM and after many tries was able to install via Smartswitch the Stock ROM (Sammobile) 7.0 DQB3
Since then I have had a couple of crashes (average 1 a week). Once when opening Alto (game). The screen froze with a horizontal bar with stripes in it. Booted into recovery and factory reset but had to install stock again via Smartswitch.
Yesterday again a screen and system freeze. Thankfully I was able to restart.
I tried wiping everything with TWRP once I was in TWRP. But it seems that there is something else wrong. I would not mind going right back to full stock (I know the knox counter is tripped). Am I doing something wrong in trying to install the stock fw thru Odin3.12.3? Do I need a specific Revovery file? I am wiping with TWRP but someone else suggested that I had to format with TWRP, could this be the issue?
Or are others also having random crashes?
I installed 8.1 last week. Everything was working smoothly. Was trying magisk youtube mod. Screwed something up. Phone went into bootloops. Reinstalled everything .Wiped data. Now my phone reboots randomly. Everything stock .Rooted with Magisk. Mainly it happens whenever i launch a new app(An app which was not launched before). After few tries, the app opens up and doesnt' result in reboot.
Any ideas what could it be ?
You should of wiped system and cache also might be your problem. Also if you where using any substratum themes remove then manually as well. Not sure if they would cause reboots.

FC's are one thing but random reboots are a completely different animal. I would completely wipe the phone and apply the latest factory image using flash-all.bat. If that doesn't fix it you may have a hardware issue (eg. degraded battery).
Wiping caches helped
I'm running SUPERXE-8.1.0-OPP5.005_v1.5.1.
My 6P was going crazy, restarting every 5 minutes or so. It rebooted so quickly it felt like a soft restart, so I thought powering off and rebooting to recovery using the power + down volume to clear the cache in TWRP would help.
Cleared system and Dalvik and powered down. Full reboot and (for now) it feels much happier and hasn't spontaneously restarted yet. That was about 15 hours ago.
Hope I didn't just Jynx myself, but I think it helped...
I've flashed the final 8.1 images to upgrade my 8.0 unmodified system. Now I've random reboots, usually when I've leave home to go to work or vice versa. Something related to wifi, that I'm connecto on both my work and home?
Same here I had to factory reset I'm having a feeling it's going to happen again. I am on factory, rooted with magisk. I always use SuperSU not saying that is what it is however it did happen when I got home from work and just kept rebooting before I could unlock.
My phone is doing this weird bootloop where it loops 3-4 times, boots up, and starts looping again after 30 or so seconds. So I rooted my phone with Odin and CF Auto Root, and it worked fine. I tinkered around a bit, tried to get my games on my sd card with gl to sd and FolderMount [Root]. I had no success, so I uninstalled them. Everything was fine until then. When I tried to open one of my games(one I didn't tinker around with), I got a pop-up saying something like "reboot to recieve benefits", my phone resetted and started bootlooping. I have no idea what caused it. Everything was working fine until that moment. I've wiped cache, factory resetted(when it boots, I get an error saying the UI is disabled and it reboots). I can't afford Reiboot, and i'm going to try to flash stock firmware/ROM with Odin, but I don't know if it will help.
