[Q] USB to ethernet disables cast receiver for plex?

I had a poke around in here and couldn't find anything conclusive...
I just plugged a usb to ethernet adaptor into my Nexus Player and have found that when i attempt to cast from a video from plex from my iphone it doesn't do anything.
Plex detects the casting receiver on the Nexus player but the casting appears to just not make it to the player.
Has anyone had this issue before? More importantly does anyone have a way of resolving the issue?
Hey natedogg118,
I did the exact same thing : I wired my Nexus Player this morning and now I can't seem to be able to cast anything to it. Did you find anything ?
Cheers,
No such issue here, using mine with an usb-ethernet adapter and I can cast from phone, tablet, desktop, chromebook and chrome on a thinkpad running ubuntu. Are your wired and wireless networks in the same subnet, any kind of firewall between them?

I can get it to work on my m7 but not on this.

2017 Shield TV 16GB - 6.1 update - Bluetooth controllers don't automatically connect

Hey guys, anyone notice that their xbox or other third party bluetooth controllers are having issues after the 6.1 update? My controller used to be flawless almost and now that I've updated, they are laggy/unresponsive. Eventually, once the controller times out, it loses connectivity altogether and must be paired again to use it.

Connect Fire TV Stick to Touchscreen monitor with HDMI

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-DA220HQL-Touchscreen-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B00CHYKVPQ
As the title suggests... anyone know if it would be possible to connect the Fire TV Stick to this Acer and use the touchscreen to control the Fire Stick? It has an Micro HDMI connection so I know I would have to get an adapter to connect the Stick? I can get one of these Acer AIO's for under $100 so I thought it would be cool to use it as a touchscreen for the Fire TV Stick. It's too slow to use as an android tablet and only has 1 gig of ram. It also only has android 4.0 as the OS so a lot of apps won't work with it.
thanks in advance for any answers.
