After I upload LOG

Thanks for the update bro. Working fine in iBall Slide (WQ149i) 2-in-1 Wifi Tablet. But facing minor bug in Android (Not related to the installer)
Also is there is a way/option to make the Android Read-Writable (Ignore if posted in wrong thread) for root access.
Also attached log

[Project] 08/22/12 - 2BOrange Beta 13 - universal installer for Android

New thread : Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592042
Hi everybody,
I want to present you an Android application and a website I've made.
The project is called 2BOrange.
NEW - ALL THE DOCUMENTATION IS THERE: DOCUMENTATION
Introduction
The purpose of the project is to make anyone able to benefit of the best improvement available for their Android phone. It could be an application modified, a kernel, a ROM, etc, available on the net, and in particular on XDA Forum.
The application can work on any Android phone.
How Does it work?
Short version : You can post and download on a specific website a file to install on the phone, plus the shell script to execute for the installation.
There are 2 parts in the project, a website, and an Android application.
The website address: http://www.2borange.com
The website is used to upload and stock the shell script.
A script is composed of two parts:
- a text file which contains the description, plus the command to execute in the shell
- an optional zip file. The zip will contain any file necessary to the execution of the command, like a kernel to install.
By example, on Samsung GS, it is possible to install a kernel through the Android shell even if cwm is not installed. The script will contain commands to install the kernel and the zip file will contain the zImage itself plus the Samsung tool used for the installation. The zip size is limited to 20MB for the moment. It can be improved in the near future.
Is it Free ? Is it Open Source?
It is totally free.
Android application is open source, the code can be downloaded at this address. The php scripts executed on the website will become open source when I will be sure there is no security risk.
Do I have to learn a new programming language to use your application?
Hopefully... No!
You just have to use the android shell command and that's all.
So, how to do now?
1) You are a potential user of the application
In this case:
- install the application on your Android phone
- search something you want to install
- push download button
- push execute button
- that's all
- there is no need to create any account
2) You are an author of Kernel, ROM, application...
In this case:
- create an account on the website
- modify a script model or write your own from scratch
- upload the script and any file useful
If you need some example, go on the 2BOrange website
Can I help you?
Yes, you can:
- report the bugs you met in this thread or directly in the Google project page.
- give some ideas of improvement
Just a last question, why this project?
To have the occasion to learn Java and PHP in a better way that some tuto on the net.
In advance, Thanks to everyone for your messages, report, ideas
Michaël

Thank you, I have created a thread only dedicated to Samsung SG kernel update:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131052
I am trying to make a script to update HTC phone kernel or ROM. Unfortunately I have only a SGS and have no knowledge relative to the other phones.
I see you have a HTC, can you say me what kind of tools you use to update your kernel or your ROM?
Thank you a lot in advance for your help
Is this strictly for Samsung Galaxy users?
And I only have a HD2, so I don't know anything about Samsung devices
To Update a Rom, I usw the CWM recovery and only flash the ROM.zip!
Tor update the Recovery(or take another system partition), you use DFT.
DFT : Sync the phone via HTC Sync, power it of and select in the hacked bootlder(MAGLDR) usb flasher, and flash it over the Pc.
On other HTC phones, you do it only with cwm, i think.
The HTC HD2 is another HTC Android phone, because it was a Windows Mobile phone, and dont comes with Android.
I think this wont help you very much, but it would be great if this app support the HD2 in future!!
I have not updated this page since one month because when I launch the first time the project I understood most didn't understood the project.
This time I have wrote more documentation and implement very useful improvement.
So, today is the second lauch with all these updates, don't hesitate to write me for any information.
Thanks,
Michaël
I have just tried, and the only thing I can say is: Great work snoopy33!
Will you continue to update your project soon?
Thanks, I am working on writing a documentation right now, and fixing few bugs I have found.
Good work, add some images to your documentation and to this thread!
I have just fixed a Bug in the webserver which prevents user to upload their work when they are under windows...
The conclusion: I should test my webservice with Windows too...
Finally I have put a documentation on the website!!!
Tell me if you find errors or other points to make evolved!
Just have a look on it, it s great !
yep, great work snoopy
New fix for the website...
Updated to beta 4
More information on the first thread
Works well but why the kernel are not the latest version?
After a silence period, new big update
This is cool i must say

[UPDATED] [Tool-Windows] [ADB for noobs] [the simplest GUI ADB/Fasboot]

*THE TOOL IS UPDATED HERE, HOPEFULLY WILL FIX WHATEVER PROBLEM YOU HAD, WHATEVER! *
Hello and welcome ! , I wanna play a game :silly:
This tool made specially for noobs & lazy guys , as some of us hate working with any command prompt -and ADB/fastboot are command prompts- so they avoid using it , even if they needed to!
now forget that , this tool is the simplest Graphical user interface ADB,
which will grab popular ADB & Fastboot commands in simple combobox to use
Features..!
My tool is featured in XDA-Portal . Tab Here
Main Features
this tool is written in java, which mean the simplicity , the smallest size and the fastest functions!
this tool depends on your PC , it does nothing on it's own , that makes it very small (about 45 kb!) but powerful
Currently this tool is my only active project , so i'm working on updating it ASAP :good:
Features for human being (to use)
my tool does the most popular/important pure ADB & fastboot operations ,
these operations are :
Check if Device connected properly (adb devices).
Android Logcat.
Install a specific APK file(Android Application).
Uninstall apk <package> .
pull a file from your Android Device to your PC.
push a file from your PC to your Android Device.
Look at tasks running in your Android device.
Check your Android Device Memory usage.
Check your Android Device storage usage.
Kill all background processes.
Normal Reboot.
Reboot to recovery mode
Reboot to Download mode (for Samsung Devices).
Reboot to bootloader mode.
Reboot to Fastboot mode.
Unlock Patterns/passowords with two methods
Flash Update.zip.
Flash recovery.img.
Flash boot.img.
Wipe (System, data & cache) before restoring nandroid backup.
Flash system.img.
Flash data.img.
Flash cache.img.
My tool UI is very simple and easy to use , it's just about 300 x 450 JFrame

Requirements..!
You need JRE (the JAVA Runtime Environment ) to run the Tool , you can get it from here .
ADB / Fastboot in your PC (are you kidding?! :cyclops: ).
USB Debugging enabled in your Android Device.
a Human brain which can read the 'How To' in this Thread.
How to & Downloads..!
Download the "ADB For noobs STABLE V3.0.jar" FROM HERE (or in Downloads Tab up) ,
open the downloaded file and set your ADB directory and click Set Data button (you must do that at least once), to make the tool know where's your ADB to use it.
Select the desired operation , and add required directories , then tab Activate , and that's it ! , isn't it Simple ?! :good:
use Reset button to reset text fields

i understand that you mean Setup window at first run .. but this will make the app for windows only , also you just need to run the 1st tool just once , then you can just delete it , but i'll try my best to make it easier , btw , before a day from making this thread , it was so dummy and you should add your adb dir every time to run it , as this pic : http://i.imgur.com/xbwtquz.jpg
btw , what about it's operations , you find any thing bad ? thx very much for your help and report
EDIT: Oh , i think i got an idea .. next update will solve this , also will have more operations , may be fastboot commands too

No need for setup window, use java ini/properties file instead.
new update is out , check the changelog and Screenshot :good:
Now that the Gear has moved from Android to Tizen we need a modded version to work with SDB instead of ADB.

Are you missing a DLL file from your Java Program? I'm getting Java errors stating it can't find the main class of the file. I'm running Windows 7 32-Bit and Java 6 Standard Edition installed.
how can i use it to flash twrp or cwm img file to my phone??
Would be perfect if it had a feature to batch install apks.

by batch install, he means to select multiple APKs and install them together without having to select one after another and wait for it to install.

Boot from sdcard
There is a way to run PostmarketOS on a Micro SD Card (an easy but a little bit dirty way):
What you have to do:
Download my XFCE 2.0 img file HERE and burn the img to the Micro SD Card (using an image USB writer program). You can also instead write your own image to the Micro SD Card using pmbootstrap: pmbootstrap install --sdcard=/path/to/sdcard
Download the FAKE pmOS zip HERE. It's a sample zip file to avoid errors of the initial script installer. Then, push it to the tablet using `adb push` and then flash it.
Your device must have TWRP recovery installed. So, go to TWRP recovery now.
WIPE /system partition (where sample postmarketOS is installed).
Insert your Micro SD Card to your tablet.
Reboot and enjoy!

XFCE is one of the Desktop Environments that you can choose on PostmarketOS installation. In this device, it is the most stable for me.
Edit: Like you said, maybe if I have time, could install a theme for XFCE to modernify it.

I'm trying to fix at least the WiFi issue, because you can only connect with nmcli.
The hard work now is to port the kernel into mainline sources on kernel.org (that can be really long), so then I don't have to carry an entire fork for just this device.
Because the OMAP chip is supported, maybe it can be a little bit easier.
https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments_OMAP_4_(OMAP44xx)
https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Mainlining
I only distribute the XFCE image, but I'm also trying to fix some TODO issues (most important ones, it's not worth to spend a lot of time on an outdated 3.x.x kernel) and making a prettier desktop environment.
So... of course is not the end. In fact, there's so much work to do

Wow still working on an 8 year old device I'm amazed!! Thanks a lot
Also im using it on espresso3g (if that helps u fix bugs)
I am more than happy to test this (cant tell battery info my battery is old and dosent work properly) but other features and issues i will try and tell you!
I would also love to help develop it but I have no clue on how the code for a custom OS works and i guess it requires Linux and a beefy computer
All the best and thanks!

Project Sakura is a custom ROM based on Lineage OS, It tries to remain true to it while also providing some more functionality and UI changes. Its sole purpose is to provide a platform which is powered by Lineage and is more customisable than Lineage.
This is an unofficial port of Project Sakura for PCs running x86 CPUs by using patches provided by Android-Generic project.
Made with Android-Generic v2.0 - Android for PCs & GSI devices
More detail : https://android-generic.github.io/
Code:
* Your warranty is now..... I don't know this is PCs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
* It's very important to read the instructions and understand what you are doing. So please, READ !
* I am not responsible if you accidentally wiped your data on your hard drives or making your main OS like Windows unable to boot.
* You do it at your own risk and take the responsibility upon yourself and you are not to blame us or XDA and its respected developers.
"This is a user friendly thread, all your suggestions are important to us and will be taken into consideration."
Currently the best method I recommend to use is to dual-boot with a Linux distro, using its Grub2 bootloader to load the OS.You can check out BlissOS wiki or SupremeGamers wiki for the instruction.

This is a x86_64 build so please make sure your CPU support 64bit and SSE4.2
About bugs : Unlike Custom ROMs on phones where people can just put "You tell me", PC builds do have problem..... a lot.
- Not all the hardware will work perfectly or even supported (*cough Nvidia GPUs ).
- Screen Recording is not working yet (gbm_gralloc limitation)
- FaceUnlock is not working (and don't even hope it work)
- Bluetooth might not working yet.
- SwiftShader is broken so you can't boot with Software Rendering.
- For user using AMD GPUs (or APUs), there's graphic bugs when you have to choose default apps like for default launcher or default browser. Here's an explanation by Mauro Rossi - one of the member of Android-x86 Project :
A long standing issue is "the tiling artifacts" happening with gbm_gralloc at ResoverActivity window when SW write buffer used, one example is the launcher selector at first boot and another is visible with Chicken Invaders advertisements windows on SW write buffer
Intel i915 and i965 were not affected, while r300, r600, radeonsi and nouveau are all affected,
iris and crocus expected to not be affected, but I need to check.
Click to collapse
So if you are seeing this (or worse) then it's the one I'm talking about.
(Iris and crocus actually not affected btw)
Update : Iris got reported to be affected, and there are some cases of crocus too. So I will mark this as a bug for both AMDGPUs and Intel iGPUs in general. If you want to read more about the bug, you can read this post by Mauro for more info

- alsa-utils and alsa-lib are on version 1.2.5.1 with alsamixer tool
- My customized Kernel 5.10.61 which include patches from GoogleLTS (kernel/common android13-5.10 branch), xanmod and Android-x86 (More detail)
- AOSP SystemWebView got replaced with Bromite SystemWebView (big thanks to them for providing x86_64 builds)
- Using FakeStore 0.1.0 instead of 0.0.2 provided by FOSS package.
- Adding Open Camera since the stock Camera app is broken.

For anyone looking how to fix "serial console enabled, performance will be impacted" warning in notifications, here is how i fixed it.
Open termux, type following commands.
Bash:
su
nano /default.prop
Then edit ro.debuggable=1 to ro.debuggable=0 and press ctrl + x, save and exit.
alternatively,
Bash:
su -c 'sed -i "s|ro.debuggable=.*|ro.debuggable=0|g" /default.prop'
I installed it in my realme c2 and its working very fine.
New builds have been uploaded, here are the new changes :
- Upstream to September Security patch
- Update Mesa to 21.2.2
- Fixed broken Bluetooth (require restarting bluetooth app)
- Adding thermal-daemon from Project Celadon
- Adding Thermal HAL from Project Celadon
- Pull houdini and Widevine from ChromeOS 92 recovery file for hatch
- Now comes with both GMS and FOSS build
For bluetooth, just restart `com.android.bluetooth` by using `pm disable` then `pm enable` and then it will work if your card already recognized by Android-x86 before. I tested with a fake CSR card and it's running as expected.
By the way, I applied for ProjectSakura maintainer, both for PCs and Oneplus Nord So expect a new OFFICIAL build soon.

That means you need to remount /system as read/write. Install gearlock to do it automatically, or
extract system.img from system.sfs in the folder/ partition in which Android is installed, and in android terminal run
su
mount -o remount,rw /
For the sed error run su first and then type
sed -i "s|ro.debuggable=.*|ro.debuggable=0|g" /default.prop

Only in Android 11, you need to mount as r/w again, ro by default unlike previous versions of Android x86.

I just tested from the latest beta build I have here (haven't release it yet) and I do have the same problem, still don't know why, maybe I will take a look at it soon
But in the meantime, please try other Browsers that are not having any GMS-relation like Bromite or Firefox. I know that without sync will have some tough time to you, but those browsers are working well so far.
