I am getting an ota update from ATT right now. It is 697.51 MB.
@rvb1, any details? Screenshots, changelog?
I'm also receiving the update hope it's 5.1
Downloading now, will update...
I can confirm it is the 5.1.1 update. The difference in how the phone is performing is spectacular!
It's 5.1.1
I took it this morning and can confirm the it is 5.1.1.
I've been slammed at work today, so I haven't had an opportunity to screw around with it yet.
Took 8 hours to download. It's 5.1.1.
Mine only took less than an hour to download.
THANK YOU & CONGRATULATIONS TO AT&T FOR RELEASING THE NEW LOLLIPOP 5.1.1 UPDATE FOR THE NOTE 4 & THE NOTE EDGE ON OCTOBER 9TH 2015, MUCH NEEDED.
GO GET YOURS & TELL US WHAT YOU THINK OF IT

I tried downloading 3 times. Each time it reboots and says install interrupted, unable to update. Seems many are having the same problem.
Yep, same error here. I wonder if the people having the problem have their phones encrypted? Mine is, and fails every time.. :crying:
So, once you guys get updated, I highly recommend doing a factory reset afterwards. My battery drain I had after the update is gone now. The phone isn't getting hot anymore either.

I contacted AT&T and they suggested it. If you have not been able to update, clear your cache and remove a few apps. I did that and now I have 5.1.1.

Hi,
I'm already on ANK5 and today new update was discovered.
Not much said in the release notes.
Is anybody aware of what this update is about?

Not a good sign for the rest of us.
Why not a good sign?

Because they are still adiment about pushing kit kat updates when they should be focusing on 5.0 this could meat it might be longer for the update to lollipop.
I would worry if it was a full ROM KK update. And now it's just 10MB patch.
Hope this won't delay the Lollipop.

After update if you find only change in csc than it must region specific update to address network issues etc. It has nothing to do with lollipop update.
Hello @wanam, I saw this post and wanted to bring this to your attention. Seems like there is a new ROM (NL2), however it hasn't showed up yet on the usual sites (sammobile/samsung-updates). Is there a way to dump it from the user's phone.
It could be update to support Gear VR sience Samsung start selling it outside States. Gear VR is listed on german, belgium, french Samsung portals

It is only on Exynos devices I think and adds support for Gear VR and some small bug/network fixes
At least that's what the 910U update did

Woke up this morning to find an OTA to fix Stagefright from T-Mobile. It's still 5.0.1 and it doesn't look like it fixes all the vulnerabilities. It does up the baseband version which hopefully will fix some issues I've been having with receiving SMS messages .

Downloaded it, haven't noticed anything different yet. Lag is still mostly there.
The OTA seems to be 148MB, but the N915TUVU1BOG2 update is 1.82GB.
EDIT:
nevermind, i think the OTA is just the new files which made up BOG2.
Downloaded the update and the Stagefright detector app still says my phone is vulnerable...uh what?
Sent from my SM-N915T using Tapatalk
YesSir ! _ same here. I wiped my phone and installed the full N915TUVU1BOG2 rom - the two Goole Playstore Apps "certif-gate scanner" and "StageFright Detector" still reports the phone is vulnerable.
So I wiped the phone again and installed the previous full rom: N915TUVU1BOD7 and after that did the T-Mobile OTA update (148MB) to BOG2 - same problem - the phone is still vulnerable.
I do not know who to believe - the apps or T-Mobile/Samsung.
Can anyone tells us techies "were to look for the vulnerablilities" - I did Google searches - but is seems like no-one really knows what to look for..... (or else I just keep missing it). I found some apk's referred to on some LG devices, but I could not find those apk's on my Samsung phones.
I used a Rooted app from some Dev on the Playstore for $1...to not only detect but to block
A few days ago I was prompted with a new OTA update that was about 100mb. There were some stability fixes/battery life improvement, but it seems like there may be some new bugs.
Now when I have an app in windowed mode it seems to lose focus on the window app after just a second and you have to keep tapping it to navigate around.
I'll post a screenshot of the update info soon.
Yes, my tab pro 12.2 after updating with non reversible update had just gone wild. Please don't update it yet those incompetent bug fixer needs to chew some more bugs before they can fix something which was not broken at all. I don't know why they have to put their fingers where it don't belong. May be they have to show their bosses they are doing something great for the money they are paid.

Yeah I see that but it's hard to believe you wouldn't be able to odin back to any of the stock firmwares from sammmobile, I was told after updating to lollipop I wouldn't be able to downgrade to kk, but I tested that and it worked
I'm sure most of us knew this was coming https://www.engadget.com/2016/11/04/software-update-will-annoy-galaxy-note-7-owners-into-a-return/
I have my updates on "manual" and I was able to deflect the attempt that still managed to almost start. I ended u hitting later. I was wondering if anyone knew how to disable these updates from popping up via Root explorer which I think I seen before.
Thanks

They got me. I stopped the update but when I restarted my phone it was bootlooping. I cannot find the PHE (last "green battery" firmware) update anywhere. Looks like I'm returning my phone tomorrow. It has been a good fight.
That sucks. That same thing happened to me when I got my second Note 7 and the update installed on its own. I think we'll all have to give in at some point. This waterproof body and camera, better radio and a bunch of other crap has me refusing to give in. My rooted Note 3 is waiting..
After installing and running the disabler app I noticed a "Setup Wizard" app icon in my app drawer. Wth is it? Don't remember seeing this prior and uninstall is blocked.
Anybody know if rooting Note 7 will help get rid of the 60% limiter and also all the popup wanting you to return your Note 7 if so instructions please.
The Australian Version of S8+ (SM-G955F- XSA) had no firmware update ( AQG5), however, I just notice on Sammobile that there is update AQG7. according to the code of the update, it's more current than AQG5. and was released 2 days before AQG5.

at the moment there are no rooms or any updated kernels to support this. was wondering if the devs were aware of this
3 days ago i attempted to install twrp and root to an s8 950f in australia installed with that update, the AQG7. Needless to say all attempts failed, luckily it left the device unharmed. For the last 72hrs ive attempted to find a solution. Thankyou for observation. You have given me an answer. Patience, till someone better than i solves this hurdle.
