There is no need for the file, just check the link on LogCat and post it here!
"adb logcat" and look for http://android.googleapis. blablabla
Sure it isn't the security patch to LMY48T? I got an update from LMY48M to LMY48T and haven't got anything further to go to 6

It is just the LMY48T security update.
Was hoping it was the actual update and that I was wrong Every other Nexus device has their OTA that was supposed to get it... Wonder why the Nexus 6 doesn't have one yet.

I got notified of OTA, I accidentaloly cleared all notifications, and now when I am manually trying to pull it, I am getting the same. Was reading and seems this is common on rooted devices.

Damn, they must have changed something. I'll download the OTA and attempt to flash it once I get a build number. If it works, I'll add it to the post in my sig.
I'm getting the same error and I am not rooted.
Then I have no clue. And there does not seem to be a 3.1 tablet update in the developer site right now either.

Thanks for this.
Unfortunately the standard OTA link layout doesn't seem to work for this, or any other OTA for that matter. Damn it NVidia. I'll check this again later on.
EDIT: So my device is reporting that I'm on the latest version (2.2.2) after an hour of getting the "error fetching OTA information" message. Seems I'm not the only one.

Where is the one with the K at the end? I think maybe the decryption process is different per image as each image has their own stock kernel (boot.img) with decryption.
it's just above those with l and m

I'm receiving my 6P Thursday, but all the guides I see for unlocking and decrypting are for 08K. After I get my 6P to 08K unlocked and decrypted, can I still take these updates?
MDB08L Root Tutorial?
How can I root my nexus 6p with the build number, MDB08L? I just got the November update. I have been trying to root ever since I got this phone but I can't find a solid tutorial, because of my build number changing. Does any one have a good link?
I manually flashed M update last night before rooting it and I had to decrypt the rom so that root could work. All fine now.

I used this to unlock, root and install TWRP. I had the same build as you.
SKIPSOFT TOOLKIT
I guess I bit off more then I can chew... I'm really new to rooting and I really want to get in to it. But all I only ever rooted my old nexus 5 and that was extremely simple lol. This new nexus 6p to me feels like you need experience and I don't want to brick my phone. The different build numbers hesitate me. Videos make it a lot simpler for me so I can follow step by step and see what is supposed to happen.

Make sure you flash Chainfires boot.bin and install SuperSU zip in TWRP. Dont say yes if you exit TWRP and it asks you to install root.
Question: What is the big difference between L and M? BTW, my N6P automatically updated to L. So I'm not sure if what Android Police says is right or not.

Not sure what the difference is (most likely the monthly security updates but thats pure assumption) but i was able to unlock and root on build M with the same instructions as the K build

They're both November updates. That's the thing. So I'm curious to wondering what is the big difference between the two.

I think I saw a changelog somewhere where it looked like maybe a new wlan driver and a security update

That was the question/concern I have as well. I just got my 6P two days ago and the November security update was pushed to my device. However it shows I'm on the L build and not the M build. How long does it take for an OTA to be pushed to your device? I would assume if M is newer than my phone should get it? It's just weird that I have the most up to date security patch but not the most up to date factory image and IDK why that is. Thanks.
Not every update is for every phone region. If we haven't gotten an 08M OTA there's a reason.
Sent from a 128th Legion Stormtrooper 6P
Saying then if on L build won't get the M? If that's the case if on L shouldn't consider flashing M images?
My wife just got a notification this morning that she has a system update available on her vzw s5. Does anyone know what this is? Is it marshmallow? Just trying to be cautious, she uses her phone extensively for work and I don't want to tell her to accept an update without knowing what it is.
Don't think so. Friend of mine has a note 4 and had the update last week, now his phone will reboot when not plugged in and won't reboot when plugged in. Idk. But I think it's just and update for 5.0.1
I had similar update on my note4 but havent done it yet as not sure to what it was...
Is there anywhere to find out (from vzw) what the update is?

2 questions:
1. The update notice says that it is a security update. Is this code for "the OS will be even more unrootable?"
2. The messages are somewhat insistent that I update. Should I try to block this? If so, could someone explain how to stop it?
Hi,
I bought my 6p a month ago. I received updates till january on the same day i booted the device and then i received the february update but because i had to go out i did not install it then. After i came home, there was no option to update and since then i am stuck on january patch level and it shows 'device up to date' in system update.
Please help! I do not want to do it manually. Is there any way?
If you are not willing to do it manually, there's not a lot more you can do.

If you stay stock after manually sideloading, and stock recovery, you can accept future OTA'S with no problems.

How long does Verizon delay the updates to their models?
Wow, would have guessed it would drop late this month since dp2 was just released a little over a week ago.

I just tried and it aborted, said the OTA was older than what was installed already.
Was on DP2 and manually flashed the official 8.1 in fastboot. Upon bootup I was prompted with an OTA update for DP2.
