Hello all,
I have had lots of troubles with my G2 but i just finished flashing 4.4.2(20c) onto my D800. I would like to go to CloudyG2 3.3
I have root, TWRP, SuperSu, all that good stuff. However when i tried to flash it via twrp, i got a boot error. I read somewhere that i need to use the KK bootloader so i went and downloaded http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/d802-bootloader-changer-1-1-jb-kk-lp-t3104380, flashed it before Cloudy and then I got the same error. I just put stock back on my phone and I am currently downloading ROM-d80030b-stripped-v1.1-blastagator.zip from http://blastagator.ddns.net/rom.php. I think im going to flash this and try it all again...
OR
am I doing something completely wrong? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
after flash kk bootstack u must reboot to recovery(not system /not system) then wipe (do not wipe internal storage) then flash cloudy g2 3.3 and reboot system. if u see lg loge just wait about three minute that is bootanimation /if u see black screen after lg logo that mean brick so use srktool to unbrick

@bigdaddysmallmomma I was in the same situation and this is what worked for me. I read somewhere on Cloudy 3.3 forum that you had to take official update from ATT on g2 D800 FIRST, then root and install cloudy 3.3. So I returned to stock unrooted 4.4.2, then accepted all the updates (which included lollipop). Then I rooted the official lollipop, used Autorec for lollipop to install TWRP, and then install Cloudy 3.3. Hope this helps.
You need to flash the modified bootloader by blastgator first: http://blastagator.ddns.net/scripts...-d800-LP_30f-bump-v1.1-blastagator-signed.zip
This will install the KK bootloader with a modified LP bootstack.
Then you can flash Cloudy 3.3 and enjoy!

Thanks for the input, i tried that but it always said my phone was up-to-date then i had to wait 24hrs before I could give it another go. This got rather annoying as you can imagine.

I made these steps for another forum, will they work?
1. Be on a Custom Rom
2. Flash Bump'd TWRP twrp-2.8.6.3-d800-bump-blastagator-signed. zip (or the newer version)
3. Clear Data,Cache,Dalvik,System
4. Flash CloudyG2 3.3
5. Reboot to Cloudy
Also made these steps i read from somewhere else:
Be on KK 4.4.2
Back up ROM
Clear Data,Cache,Dalvik,System
Flash CloudyG2 3.3
When it prompts to 'reboot', hit no
Returns to TWRP
Flash ROM-patch-v1.5-lp30f-d800-blastagator-signed .zip (guide says v1.4 but his website doesnt have it)
Flash boot-permissive-lp-d800-devnull-signed.zip
Return to TWRP
Clear Dalvik and Cache
Reboot to Cloudy
Guess I will try the first way first
Thank you all for your input!
Which one should I flash?
bootstack-d800-LP_30f-bump-v1.1-blastagator-signed.zip
Had another guy tell me i needed to flash
blastagator's TWRP Version 2.8.7.1
Just make sure you flash blastgator's modified bootloader FIRST before Cloudy or else you will be stuck in a bootloop. The only other alternative is to either take the OTA LP update or flash a Stock rom such as Somboons SRK for the D802 + the Rom patch. Easiest route, since you are coming from KK is to flash blastgator's file: bootstack-d800-LP_30f-bump-v1.1-blastagator-signed.zip, then Cloudy, then clear Dalvik and Cache - the other steps aren't necessary. I've been running Cloudy on my D800 since release and absolutely love it!

It never hurts to flash the latest recovery (TWRP)! Make sure you flash it before you start and after flashing reboot back into recovery.

If you are still bumped and have access to TWRP recovery then just download cloudyg3 and flash like you would normally for any rom. If you want to restore back to your cloudy backup then get into TWRP and click Restore. Choose the backup and swipe. Not sure what you are having an issue with since you seem to know TWRP well enough to make a backup. Can you not get back into TWRP or something?
Also did you follow the instructions skin1980 laid out in his OP when you flashed Lollipop? There are 3 zips that need flashed.
If i want go back to KK roms ( stock or AOSP) what i have to do?
Just flash your ROM or restore a backup. But, after that, flash the zip KK modem.
Download KK Modem From >> go to G3 General>> [ROM][STOCK][D855][20A- LRX21M][OFFICIAL] Lollipop rooted ROM by skin1980
Thanks.

Hi folks,
I have international d802 recently bought in europe, I'm new to android scene and wanted to poke around a bit, so I recently installed twrp and CM 11, and decided that I want to go back to stock instead. Then I found this zip [ROM][D802][D80220H]Original open eur 80220H kdz to recovery flashable zip and installed it trough twrp, it seemed somewhat safe compared to other methods.
Phone went into bootloop, and I couldn't get into lg's hard reset mode, BUT I managed to boot the phone into recovery with "adb reboot recovery". Now I expected the white stock screen to hard reset to factory settings but I get textual UI like the one in attached file.
I selected wipe data / factory reset and phone booted. Then I flashed phone trough official lg app (upgrade recovery) and did another reset. I though it would make it completely stock, but I still don't seem to get to lg's hard reset mode if I want to (hold vol down and power, release on lg logo and press again?). Now I have weird feeling if something crashes and I'll need to reset, or if i'll want to update
@bestblack
Vol up + vol down after the logo, not power + vol down... it's the new combo since firmware with knock code.
You didn't need to flash official firmware with official lg app, or went to stock recovery.
What you needed, was just tape the good combo for hard reset after the flash, or better, make wipes before the flash.

Thanks for quick reply. OK so that combo brings me into safe mode. Is there no more master reset with new firmware like in the attachement? Am I safe to receive system updates?
@bestblack
Power off.
Hold vol down + power until the logo, then release and press vol up + vol down until hard reset menu

I do not know the routine performed by the lg proprietary software, but the not prerooted version of the rom contains all the originals partitions that can be extracted from KDZ by the tool , and inject them.
Someone I recently helped, flashed 10a I made for him with the same method i used for these 20H, and he was then able to make his ota updates after, without problem.
That said, I do not know the origin of your problem that block the kdz installation with LG app, so I can not certify you that pass through the flash this rom will help you solve them..
The fact is, it is strongly recommended to wipes before or do a hard after the flash.
i want to try bruce kernel 0.41 with 20h. which one of them stable and battery time and i guess we can't backup of stock kernel. if we want to return stock kernel what will we do?
Read the thread ?
I gave the link twice for the flashable kernel contained in the rom.

You don't have the latest kernel because autorec flashes a patched kernel that cloudy hasn't updated since he made the app. It's from 20c I think.

1. You can flash it without a problem but even if you don't root it your phone will still have the root flag.
2. No
3. Big difference. Apart from restoring every partition, the kdz will wipe everything and bring your phone back to factory condition and remove root.
4. Cross that bridge when you get to it.

Hey guys, definitely new to this, haven't flashed a rom since I had a HTC Droid Incredible about five years ago. My brother just helped me root my phone and install TWRP, except when we go to look at flashing a new rom it states that you need TWRP 2.8.6.3. We are currently running 2.8.5.1 I found the 39A bootstack which supposedly includes TWRP 2.8.6.3, but I'm lost when it comes to how to flash this bootstack with the updated TWRP. Can anybody provide instructions, or a link to a previous thread? I did try using the search bar, but when you search "how to flash bootstack" the results are overwhelming because almost every post has the word "how," "flash," or "bootstack."
Really appreciate the help!

Interested in this as well. I've just started with the LG G2 and am at the same point. How do we go about flashing a boot stack? Does, as @amcleod1995 stated, the boot stack include the newer version of TWRP? Can someone provide a step by step tutorial or a video maybe? Thanks in advance! Here are the steps below we took to root and add recovery.
We both have our phones rooted following:

2. Recovery ( TWRP) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/veri...-twrp-t3053134

Very simple, update twrp manually from blastagator's website, reboot to recovery , flash bootstack zip, reboot to recovery and the flash anything that requires it (ie: CAF roms) . Now you're on the latest bootstack (bootloader, modem and everything else that comes with it).
I'm in twrp right now (wiped the system)

Sure can.
I've been having issues with my phone, and I'm not sure if this is a HW issue or not, but no matter what I do, either I lose recovery or get a security error. I poked around and found some instructions in the CloudyG3 thread. They're for 3.0 but I would guess 3.3 wouldn't be different enough to brick this thing. Can't remember who the quote is from, I just copy/pasted it, but here it is:
Some of you sent me a PM asking for the install instructions on D800 and this is how you install CloudyG2 3.0:
Downloads:
1. Download CloudyG2 3.0 - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95897840722646001
2. Download Patch - https://mega.co.nz/#!sVY0mRTb!qn7S9B...3m_QpMQkgzunn0
3. Download Signal Patch - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...l_Variants.zip
4. Download LP Baseband - http://blastagator.ddns.net/modem.php - d800-30f-modem-blastagator-signed.zip
5. Download KK Bootstack - http://blastagator.ddns.net/bootloader.php - bootstack-d800-KK_20c-blastagator-signed.zip
6. Optional: Download JB Bootstack in case if you want to revert the installation process and go back to your current ROM - http://blastagator.ddns.net/bootloader.php - bootstack-d800-JB_10d-blastagator-signed.zip
Flashing Process:
1. Backup the existing ROM (including EFS, Modem, etc.) in TWRP - very important and copy it over to the computer, just in case!
2. Wipe System + Data + Cache + Dalvik Cache - Do NOT select internal storage as it contains all your downloaded files + backups!
3. Flash KK Bootstack (downloaded from Step 5)
4. Flash LP Baseband (downloaded from Step 4)
5. Flash CloudyG2 3.0 (downloaded from Step 1) - Leave the default in Aroma when you have to pick the variant. Do NOT reboot the device as the patch installation (next Step) is very important.
6. Flash Patch (dowloaded from Step 2) - Select your variant.
7. Flash Signal Patch (downloaded from Step 3)
8. Reboot
Enjoy!

I'm guessing I have the incorrect files, most of the links I found in the thread with these instructions didn't seem to work so I Googled for them, maybe I don't even have the correct files. I took a screenshot in cmd of the exact filesizes.

Coming off a fresh TOT flash, I root with towelroot, flash TWRP using AutoRec, flash bootloader, then flashed Cloudy. It will boot at first, but then I run into "black screen of death" or security errors or when trying to boot to recovery, I'll run into similar issues. Does Blastagator's TWRP make the difference here?

I had the exact problem happen to me ....... I got the black screen of death .... phone wouldnt boot ....... and when i used the kk bootloader i would lose recovery ..... I was coming from kk to CloudyG2 ....
This is how i solved.
1. Flashed back to stock, stumproot to root Autorec v1 for bootloader
2. used Flashify to upgrade to 2.8.7.1 ( its now 2.8.7.3)
3. Downloaded n used bumpted LP bootstack and flashed blastagator stripped rom (its in flashable zip and installs everythin including modem .... patches etc EVERYTHING) http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-g2/development/rom-stock-lollipop-30b-stripped-t3144195
4. Downloaded kk bootstack , CloudyG2 3.3 and clean flashed in recovery
I have been enjoying Cloudy ever since ...... D800
Thanks all, got it running! Cloudyfa has done some absolutely brilliant work here with this ROM, as well as xdabbeb with the advanced camera driver and xCam. I'm usually a vanilla-or-nothing guy with my Android ROMs but this one is quick and power efficient. The KitKat ROM that shipped with the phone was super bloated and gross, but I'll admit LG UX 4.0 isn't really that offensive, plus I like the goodies like Multi-Window and QuickRemote. Once I disabled/hid some of the remaining LG bloat, it's surprisingly pleasant and not really that far from AOSP aesthetically. Again, cheers to those who provided the assist on this one for me!
... now my only question is, should I try CloudyG3?
This is my first post, so I want to say "Hello" for everybody!

But i can't update it to Android 5..It "says", android is newest. But it's stupid, i have KitKat on phone, and in net wrote, newest is Lollipop. When i trying installing Cloudy on KitKat, it write that file with CloudyRom is broken (i downloaded it two times). If i could download stock ROM from net, there isn't any problem, but link to stock soft on XDA for my version on F320S are "dead". For F320K and F320L are good, for my F320S isn't work. Can anyone will be so good and share with me an active link to my stock Lollipop firmware? Or will put it in share hosting, like a rapidshare.com or similar?
Well, don't install stock Lollipop, you don't need it in order to install Cloudy.
Assuming that you are on stock KitKat, unrooted - follow these steps:
1) Enable USB debugging and root the phone using DP tools
2) Find KitKat Autorec for F320S and blastagator TWRP 3.0.2-0 - copy the files to the phone, install and run Autorec like a normal app - if everything is successful it will boot TWRP 2.7 for you.
3) When you are in recovery mode - install TWRP 3.0.2-0, reboot the recovery.
4) Make a backup of the EFS and copy it to your computer, just in case.
5) Highly recommended - wipe data, cache, system, internal storage and reboot the recovery.
6) Copy the Cloudy ROM and the hybrid bootstack for F320S to your device and install them.
You're all set. It shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes.
