What is the real price of the Nexus 6p 64gb version + taxes and shipping to Florida("free")??
I want the phone, but it seems like the price is going to be almost the same as the Note 5
(Price of phone) x (sales tax) + (price of phone) + (free shipping)= price of phone. Should be easy to figure out.
Order phone from Huawei and there is no tax and free shipping. At least it was for me and I'm in new York.

Well Florida tax is 7% if I'm not mistaken so the 64gb model is 549*7%+549=$587.43 total cost with free shipping. Let's not forget the $50 in GP credit if you buy it from google. It's still chepaer than a Note by a long shot. The 128gb model is still cheaper than most phones so its a steal for the 32 & 64gb models
You can just times it by 1.tax. So 549*1.07

What part of Florida. Sales tax depends on the county. Base sales tax is 6%, but some counties add extra. Alachua adds an extra 0.25%, Tallahassee adds 1%. Where I am in South Florida its 6%. Total for the 64GB should be:
$581.94
I bought a case with mine so if you're interested in that, $619.03 shipped.

If you can't afford and figure out the extra $30 for tax, then you really should save your money and not buy a new phone. Sounds like you have bigger problems.

No where near, this is a very simple calculation.
$549 x .055(sales tax, in my case 5.5%) = 30.20
$549 + 30.20 = $579.20 Nexus 6P shipped to my door.
Note 5 retail is at minimum $792 according to this quick search that I know is not the end all, but it's a good general idea. The Verizon site agrees with Android Central on the $792 price tag.
Nexus 6P will likely be at least $200 cheaper off contract.

This would have been good to know at the beginning of the thread.
I see why you may think you want the note 5, Huawei is Costa Rica is portrayed as a crap brand mainly because Costa Rican companies only import crap.
Huawei is huge in China but sadly the Huawei phones that have been imported in CR are the super lower end phones from that company.
Now, Samsung sucks really, not all the phones but as a whole brand they do. now, imagine you have only used the lower end phones from samsung, like the Duos. You would have an awful image (more than usual) of samsung as a brand.
I sometimes think that is why some iPhone users stay with Apple, they "try to move to android" but instead of getting a good phone they buy some cheap android phone and start saying that their iphone that costs x3 o x4 more is better...
Anyways, you should just get the Nexus 6p and stop worrying about it.

Already tried to preorder 2 Nexus 6p 64gb one frost white and another graphite for my GF but every time I get this: "Your order was declined because it was considered high-risk. Please try again in 30 minutes [BM-CPE-13]" i even tried again in 30 minutes like it said and it still did'nt work
However, my debit card will work on other things or stores(amazon, ebay etc), I have bought more than 5 phones for me and my family, friends etc, chromecast and tablets from google store before.

You must realize that for some (myself included) it is just easier to buy off someone/business that will have it locally than to worry about shipment issues, delays, taxes etc.
As far as I can see, the average price for the international version 16GB is between CAN$720 and $750, add shipping and ON/BC HST on top and you're looking at way over $800. Plus most of these folks on kijiji and craigslist that are selling this, they do it for small profit.
I am patiently waiting for the blue colored one and I go through a great phone importer from BC, i.e. MobileDNA. Those guys are great with the numerous transactions that I have done with them over the years.

That's where I got my Galaxy Note (they served me well). What kind of price did you get from them? I emailed them just a moment ago.
ya, ive ordered my last couple phones from handtec (HD2, S2, S3) and they've all come up to around the same price of $700 after shipping.
But since i live in Ontario, the tax gets me hard and is usually around $100 once the package comes from FedEX - making it a total of $800
ya its steep, but im such a sucker for new phones so ya.
You're looking at ~$800 if you live in Ontario - other places in Canada will have cheaper tax so you'll pay a bit less
Hola
I have bought from Handtec myself. My greatest concerns were always about getting warranty on these high-end devices. As you would know IF something was wrong with the phone, shipping it back to the UK was required, this in itself was stress. I saw a few posts here when the S2 was originally launched that some folks had to ship it back, and then wait like a few weeks before getting back a replacement. I wanted to avoid this potential issue and hence looked for a Canadian distributor to handle this stuff.
Interestingly the only reputable company I found was way out west in BC... hence I now buy all my latest phones through them.
Killing me to know that I have to wait on the blue colored version until next week or so.

As the title says, I was wondering how much the Nexus 4 would cost if I traded in my Nexus S at any store in Australia that would sell this beast.
The Nexus 4 that I want is the 16GB version which will be $400 in Australia, but could anyone give a rough estimate of the Nexus 4 price if I traded in my Nexus S for it?

Places actually trade phones here? Never noticed that... Anywho, if they did, I'd really doubt they'd give you too much off considering it's trade-in (my guess is as good as yours but don't expect any more than what you'd get by selling the Galaxy Nexus yourself). I mean take a look at game consoles, they have horrid trade-in deals and just aren't worth it unless it's really just collecting dust.
If you sold it yourself, you could probably sell one $200-$250 at the moment depending on how quickly you want it to sell. Maybe use that for an estimate on the trade-in price.

I agree to this previous post, I don't live in Australia but for us, european citizens, problematic is the same.
Google will sell the Nexus 4 for €350 including tax + approximately €10 S&H.
Some distributors are on this price, they are buying a new...new..new Nexus S without any defects €63.
Today, an average Nexus S can be sold around €150, €180 maximum.
Well for me, that's a fair price considering I'll get a lot of money for Christmas (Minimum $200) and that money + trading in Nexus S = barely any of my own money for the Nexus 4. And I know some stores that trade, otherwise, selling my Nexus S would be another option.
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
Hopefully it's not like an EB Games trade-in and you get $5 off the price of the Nexus 4 when you trade in six old phones and a bunch of accessories with it, too! Haha. Which store would you go to to trade it in, though? I can't think of any stores in Australia that would let me trade in my older phone for a better price on a newer one. I think Mobicity do it but they are just an online store.
My first choice is JB Hi-Fi, and because they have the SGS 3 and Nexus 7, the chances are that they'll sell the Nexus 4. If they don't do trades, I might still buy it but $400 is pretty expensive for me. I was wishing that it would be $350 like it is in America, but Australia almost always gets a more expensive price
My second choice would be at my local shopping centre and keep searching until I find the right store. If I can't find a single store that sells the Nexus 4 and accepts trades, I'll just sell my Nexus S.

I don't believe JB do trade-ins for phones (I know they do for games). And about the price thing, it's really not that much more compared to America. We have GST included in the shown price whereas they don't so you have to add their state tax (not sure on the percentage but it comes out to be pretty close).
Hmmm... I might ask JB Hi-Fi about the Nexus 4 price :/
Then my other two options are:
1. Sell my Nexus S
2. See if JB Hi-Fi (Or any other store) can do any offers

The price should be about the same every (~$400 for the 16GB version and ~$350 for the 8GB one). Anywho, good luck!
Allright now the canadian dollar is worth more than the american dollar so why is the nexus 4 more expensive. Shouldnt it be cheaper? Now its 359 for the 16gb version right and fricking taxes and shipping make it 416$! so pissed.

Don't care? Check.
Ask your government, it probably costs extra since it comes from the US.
Either that or Google doesn't like you guys.
Because Cell-phone market is more stable than Stock Market.
Also it doesn't matter how much the cell-phone cost is in one country and compared to other. There may be extra charges like custom duty, tax, and VAT. Thus the price may increase
Currency isn't the only factor involved in pricing.
with google its not so bad but many other companies price hike in different regions; best example i can give is here in australia photoshop is twice the price that it is in the US but our dollar is worth more than the american dollar ......how that makes sense i dont know.
with Google play however its probably added import costs and taxes added to the price $416 is about the same as what we pay in Australia after shipping + tax and i believe US price is like $385-$395 inc tax + shipping so the price difference is pretty close so i don't think its a case of Google screwing regions over.
Probably because it ships from the US into Canada, then there's also tariffs and whatnot. RIM is based in Canada so methinks they really do have an Apple and Android tax.
And in Europe it costs 349 Euro, they just exchanged the currency symbol and added 10 CAD Dollar more.
So basically the unit costs 362 USD in Canada which is still cheaper then Europe with 459 USD (349 Euro)

Im sorry that im complaining about that much money, i dont have much. If you do please give me some.....douchebag.
The price it is set, is determined by not only currency costs, but also factors such as transportation costs, tariffs (although there is no apple or android tax), in some cases the necessity to have French on it as well. There are many reasons, and simply put we are talk about less than 10$. As it relates to this case, I doubt there is an international tax/tariff, Google has a Toronto office where these phones are from, they are shipped from Kentucky, and no duties are applied, which suggests they are covered under NAFTA.

Yeah there are some sort of extra fees charged as well, whether it be tarrifs or import taxes, etc. The Nexus4 costing $9 more here is actually quite good compared with the iPads that cost $20 more, and the iPhone5's that cost a whopping $50 more. $50 more, seriously... I'm just happy the Nexus4 is a minute $9 more.
Hey guys ! I wanted lately to buy a used in good shape N4 , i find it to be a bit overpriced on ebay and amazon compared to the play store price (price is 50 bucks more) , and since in my country the play store doesnt exist i can only buy it from amazon and ebay !
So what do you think is a good price for it ?? im searching for a 16gb model , i think 8gb is not enough or is it ??
Thanks in advance
yes you are right, the reason your find them on ebay and amazon priced higher is probably becasue the seller will ship internationally, and is still cheaper then buying in their home country, or for what ever reason google does not sell in that country, OR the seller is counting on buyers who have a amazon store card or billmelater with paypal, and can finance it without having to get a real credit card, there are tons of reasons, those are the only ones i can think of now.
also i wouldnt pay more then $300 for a used 16gb nexus 4, i mean, for 50 bucks more you can get a new one, with a warranty!
since the nexus 4 is so different then its competitors and undercut them all in terms in price, it makes it an unprecedented popular "affordable" smart phone, with unprecedented pricing by 3rd parties. solid design and great phone, but a "cheap" device in terms of specs when compared to the S3 which is selling used for $300 right now.
even though it might be more difficult then normal to find, keep looking, as its the internet... and the 16gb models should be better priced then the 8gb's from what i've seen.
i had a 8gb nexus that i lost in the back of a taxi, it was a steller phone, though 8gb is not enough. though i did start to use streaming services like plex for video, and subsonic media server for my music and everything worked fine with internet, and could sync if i knew i would be without.
hope this helps

Have you tried Swappa? Some people will ship internationally. I just bought a Nexus 4 with accessories for $330. I know some people will say that's more than it should be, but it's basically brand new. If I ordered on Play between shipping and taxes I would've paid at least $50 more. I'll pocket the $50 for a phone that looks brand new.
Good luck.

While I would have liked to have seen it come in at $499 and $549, I agree that $549 isn't unreasonable.

Doesn't make much sense to me that $50 would make that big of a deal but hell what do I know. All I know is I still plan on getting it!:good:
Yeah, I would have obviously been happier with a lower price point. But when the new Nexus 7 came out and it had a small price bump, it was a pretty reasonable thing to do. I'll definitely be getting one at release.

Doesn't make much sense to me that $50 would make that big of a deal but hell what do I know. All I know is I still plan on getting it!:good:

Couldn't agree more.
This was never marketed as a budget/low-cost tablet. This is the (as far as I know) top-of-the-line Android tablet for the foreseeable future. I'm pleased to see it start that low. Heck, I know that's already a lot cheaper than the Note 3 I bought, lol.
If they will do the convert Dollar -> Euro, in italy the note will cost 449€.
But i think they will sell this at 599€...
Sammy, sammy...

Well the comparable closet high Android tablet is Sony Xperia Z Tablet with S4 Pro quad core CPU and 2 GB ram and only 1080p display which is selling for £399.
Note 10.1 on the other hand has better CPU, more RAM, better (or at least sharper) display and Wacom digitizer, I can't see how can it could be same price or cheaper then Sony.
It's pricey but that's this the only android tablet with pen function, so we don't have the luxury for shopping around for cheaper price.
The same reason old Note 10.1 never really came down in price.

This price does indeed suck. Samsung seems to overprice and make us wait for sales. Problem is that online purchases will be taxed soon inside the us. The note 8.0 was priced 399 us dollars at launch but can be had on sale or refurbished at 299 and below which isn't too bad. 499 and I probably would've just bought it at Newegg right away but I'll wait on reviews and some custom roms first. Hopefully someplace will have it for at least $449 tax-free before the stupid Internet tax hits.
