Nice to read but the version from T-Mobile is the T817 and not the "normal" T-810/815.
But if T-Mobile is announcing a new rom the possibility is big that the Marshmallow will be released for all versions is the TabS 2.
Tmobile version IS T817.
That's what I wrote.
What is "normal"? Every carrier model number is different.

Some models are wifi only and not carrier branded.
So......what is normal?

Hello I recently purchased a galaxy s5 on Craigslist and thought it was an unlocked version but when I got home and looked closer the model number of the phone is SM-G900 ... Does anyone know what carrier the phone originated on?i can't seem to find anything online about this version as all other carriers have a letter after the 900 telling you what carrier it's to. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Also with the version will I get lte on att network?
Nobody can read anything in that tiny screenshot man

Yeah, the screenshot is just a thumbnail. As far as I know, there's a few unlocked versions out there, where the G900W8 and G900F support 4G, and the G900H does not. The G900T is Tmobile's phone, but it is unlocked, supports 4G, and works on AT&T's networks. It looks like whoever sold this to you tried to get one over on you by hiding the letter, because if the actual model of the phone turns out to be G900H, then you won't be able to use 4G on AT&T, because, hardware-wise, the G900H doesn't have the bands necessary to use 4G.
If you can't find it in system info, see what happens when you plug it into your computer. Sometimes (in my case for one), Will say something like: "What would you like to do with this device?"
And then give you the model number of the phone.
If it still turns out to be G900 with no letter, then who knows? Maybe it's some model manufactured straight from Samsung designed to be a developer device. I'm not sure if this is possible, but it's the only other explanation I can come up with.

They are all the same version, if you are referring to the gold version there is no way maybe eBay but it will be very expensive, which in my opinion is stupid just for a color.
Even if you do obtain one somehow, warranty service might be extremely painful.

No, , Huawei has made a version for North America which support overall some less LTE bands and has some 1 or 2 specific LTE bands for USA carriers.. Whereas international version support all the available LTE bands so that you can use any sim...

I don't think that will be a problem for me... I never claimed a warranty for any of my devices till now
Anyone know for sure what bands each will have? I know the unlocked will have them all. Will every US version have all of the bands as well? Researching online for some reason right now is not giving me any info. The FCC filling for the unlocked U version is all I've found so far after a day of searching online.

I think I may have finally figured it out. Samsung hopefully did what moto and apple and nexus has done for years and made them all universal. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this all before but here is what info I'm going off.
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/phones/galaxy-s/s/_/n-10+11+hv1rp+zq1xa/
T-Mobile
SM-G950UZKATMB
Verizon
SM-G950UZKAVZW
Sprint
SM-G950UZKASPR
AT&T
SM-G950UZKAATT
So the carrier versions are all the same just a different bloat package on all 4.
When an unlocked one arrives again the only difference might be less bloat.
This could be really good news for people who don't like contacts like myself.
Maybe faster updates from Samsung? I mean they can't possibly get slower than they already are can they?
They didn't. I have inside info from Samsung that it's the same as the GS7. They just changed the model numbering scheme to be more universally discernible. I was hoping for one phone with carrier customization but nope... they again made it impossible to get all features and bands on a different carrier.
The good news is the Verizon model doesn't have carrier branding any longer. I confirmed that today by unboxing an actual retail model.

So when do they finally release what bands each carrier model supports? Seems odd that no info exists on the phones releasing in 3 weeks. The unlocked model has all its bands published online but no official release date.
I'm curious to know if the Verizon model is the same as the unlocked one.

If you get it unlocked, insert a different carrier's sim, factory reset and it will boot with the splash screen and preinstalled apps of the carrier. I've seen the Att to Tmobile and verizon to att swap
That's interesting . I will try that when I get it. But I'm not sure that would effect the boot logo? I'm imagining it would stay the same, no?

I think your wrong. If you go check tmobiles website the software version is G950USQU1AQC9. There is nothing mentioning tmobile specifically there. I think that they will all come with carrier animation BUT be uninstallable.
I would hope so but I received this info from a Samsung Knox Development Manager who is an internal employee. I am crossing my fingers he is full of it.
I've got the bands for the AT&T and Verizon phones. Those companies had the decency to post the info online. Samsung chat was useless and told me some BS as usual about not knowing until the phone was released. Is it possible the T-Mobile bands listed on the website are the only bands it supports? 2,4,5,12?
If the websites are accurate and just considering bands alone it looks like the AT&T one has the best support.
I'm really Curious about exynos working on Verizon and can't find any info. I'm in Korea for another 8 months and was hoping to get the Korea model S8 and take it back to the states and use it on my Verizon network. I have a feeling it won't work just like the S7 did not.
The s8 Will be just like the note 7 was.... Internals are EXACTLY the same, just different SW, and can be flashed with any carrier SW to "make" them that carriers phone.

Bad news all 4 carriers support slightly different bands just like always

It's bs...Trust me. Note 7 on Samsung website showed the same. A simple flash of carrier FW makes it whatever FW is on it.

Does that mean that if say I pre-order the AT&T S8+ from Best Buy because I have in store credit and place a T-Mobile sim, it can possibly work?

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I think the best course of action for me would be to wait for the Unlocked version of the S8 to arrive in May, hopefully.
I want to buy SM-G9750/DS (Dual SIM). This is Chinese Version (sourced from Hong Kong).
It has Snapdragon processor.

It looks like its missing some LTE bands compared to the US version.
Usually don't have band 71 for TMobile... At least on Note 9.

What about CDMATool?
I see it can enable bands, but I do not see option for band 66 or 71 in a tool.
Thoughts?
I have a note 9 from the same source, perfect expect those carrier specific feartue such as volte, wifi calling . It does work with LTE, but almost half of speed of what I can get from a us version.

The S9 Plus, SM-G9650 (Hong Kong) is compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile, I'd be surprised to learn an SM-G9750 isn't. It should work on all CDMA Networks. In some instances sellers on Ebay and Amazon will state that particular variant isn't compatible when in fact it is, just to cover their rear ends.
my sprint sim isnt working for my 9750 out the box... i figured they couldnt do anything, but i called anyways, the sprint rep said if it were "unlocked" it would work, maybe its a network or regional lock, i dont know. Im trying everything to get it "unlocked"... if thats even the problem. Currently waiting on a paid sim unlock service to get back with me, see if they can help.
Any one get a HK s9 or s10 to work on sprint?
If it's Exynos it's not going to work on Sprint or Verizon.
My Exynos S9+ and Note9 work fine with TMO.

hello everyone
I have question.... please tell me Is SM-G9750/DS with snapdragon (China/Hong Kong version with TGY csc) compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile.
I want to know, it will work Wificalling & Volte on T-mobile ?
someone has this one smartphone and uses it in the USA ?
Thank you
So I ordered a oneplus 6t factory unlocked on ebay. What I got was a T-mobile locked device, that when I tried to unlock actually did.
My question though is are there annoyances with using the t-mobile version on another carrier (t-mobile apps or any radio differences) that would warrant me to return it or should I just give them a low rating.
thanks!
Uh. Not sure. I have an International Variant but I've heard that there is the usual T-MOBILE Bloatware. But you can easily convert it to Global Variant by following the Guide in the Guides Forum. Just search T-MOBILE to International Conversion OnePlus 6T

That's on the seller to provide as MUCH information he can provide before he lists. I'd say if it works out for you in the end, it's fine. But....I would message him and see if he does know the difference between T-Mo and Int'l.
I would take the T-mo and flash Int'l, honestly. T-Mo is slow to update, and there's an Int'l Beta release almost every month. I think the official T-mo is 4 or 5 months behind.
Let us know!
The TMobile version is not the international version in my opinion. On top of not getting regular updates like the unbranded version. They have been trying to do things in newer software versions to prevent people from flashing it to international versions by adding extra checks, not that it has worked so far. The international version is also dual SIM and has two IMEI, the TMobile version only has one. I guess it depends what you paid for it, but I would not accept a TMobile version personally.

I agree completely.
Honestly, it doesn't really matter considering you can very simply convert a T-Mobile version into an International version.
The T-Mobile version by default is a few updates behind and doesn't support dual sim iirc. Like I said though, you can easily convert it and buy a sim card tray that supports dual sim if that's your thing.
