Help with Galaxy A7 SM-A7000

Hi everyone, recently purchased a Chinese A7 SM-7000 and regret it, the phone is a good hardware piece, but the software is crappy, lot of Chinese bloatware, no more than three languages, and the best of all is there's no Google Apps, no Google play, so I need some help in maybe flashing another firmware, a (normal) one, or wathever to make this phone international, BTW I've rooted the stock rom under 5.0.2 but guess it won't help.

If the software is infected, I think you can flash another rom from SamMobile... But for your model there are only chinese firmwares... Maybe from there you can root, then check if your phone can use a firmware from another variation, maybe it can be done by skipping the baseband. Check with your provider if there is any subscription, and if there are any, cancel them... Doing this after a full flash on Odin must clean your device from trouble...
Sorry if my reply caused any trouble to you, it wasn't my intention... :crying:

I have that phone too. Running android 6.0.1 but no google apps are available on this phone because Samsung China's devices have a restriction that is that phones don't have Google. i have updated my device from 4.4.4 to 5.0.2 and then 6.0.1 one month ago.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910P with Persian language direct link (Official)

Hello
Now, the stock rom is 5.1.1 and there was an error or issue with shareit app and i had to full wiped the phone with twrp custom recovery and after that, the phone's rom has been broken or just has a problem which says, there is no OS installed.
So, i had to download 5.0.1 after a lot of search with a good link and after introduce it to ODIN, there is a problem which that is also says:
sw check fail aboot fused error
So, i've read the same threads and saw something like cannot go back to older version.
So, is there any roms links (direct links) as official with persian supports language to download with 5.1.1 version? i've seen the sammobile info about the country and found nothing about the country and persian language.
It should be useful for the others which they have the same issue in future.
Any helps would be great, i've been fixing this issue about 8 hours by now! Just needs a guide or help about a direct link of official rom for Note 4 N910P
I don't believe the stock Sprint N910P firmware ever supported Farsi by default.
My recommendations:
1) Download the latest OK1 firmware and install with Odin (Samsung doesn't allow you to go back to 5.0.1 ) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-sprint/general/stock-tar-odin-flashable-t3250864
2) Download a Farsi keyboard (it won't change the OS, but since you appear fluent in English, it should allow you to send texts and messages in Farsi - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boloorian.android.farsikeyboard&hl=en
I know there is a huge desire to buy Sprint phones for International use because their price on the secondary market is far lower than other models in the same family. However, if native language support is important to you, I would steer clear in the future. An International version will have a far wider language library installed.

Install yotaflasher and install the lowest firmare (kitkat) from the RU firmware. After that use OTA to upgrade to latest RU firmware. You can search the forum on how to obtain yotaflasher and what to do if something goes wrong.

Depending on where you live LTE bands can be different, in that case you have to flash the RADIO from the original Chinese firmware. GSM bands should not be affected as far as I know. There are several people who have replaced the radio in the firmware here on the forum so a quick search should let you know how to do that. All the languages are available in the RU version.
The only thing different in the video is that they download the firmware first and then extract it and put it in the right folder. YotaFlasher can also do that for you but the method in the video also works. Hope this helps.

The RADIO is ondeed responsible for supporting the LTE bands, they have to match the phones hardware.
I use my YotaPhone as my seconds phone and only use the second screen for message checking and stuff like that. I rarely use the main screen. With that kind of use I can get between 3 and 5 days of battery use. But I don't know what the battery use is of used as your primary phone.

Hi,
to both of you @Itsmefreddo and @Menrix_AUT
You have two options.
Method 1
1) Since you said you bought it from china I think you might have Hiapp on your tablet.
Then you can just type playstore in search and install it.
2) I hope you have Huawei ID to login
if you don't have Huawei ID then you can register for free from this link
3) once you register. you can download play store from HiApp and install. You are set.
This is more safer method as you are downloading play store from a reliable source. Screenshots attached.
Method 2
1) open your browser and type www.aptoide.com
2) install the app and there are plenty of stores from where you can download and install apps. ( my store samavb.store.aptoide.com )
3) you can just type in google playstore in search and you can get it this way too.
I would personally recommend method 1 as it coming straight from Huawei and you will not have any compatibility issues.
and for firmware
1) After you install playstore, install an app called "firmware finder" - this is actually used for Huawei phones but I just checked and you can get firmwares for Huawei Mediapad M3 and tablets as well. This is a famous app suggested by other members of XDA so it is safe. (screenshot attached)
2) You just have to open the app after installing and it will automatically identify your model. If your tablet is LTE model then it will identify the firmwares corresponding to it. (screenshot attached)
3) Download the firmware
4) unpack
5) move to dload
6) Switch off the tablet then press volume up and down and power all together and then wait for the tablet to vibrate.
7) After that it will start installing.
But I would sincerely urge you not to do this now and please wait for Android Nougat. Once you get Nougat you will love this tablet even more. Don't do this unless you have problems with your current firmware.
Please remember, that firmware updates always come with the risk. I have enclosed screenshots for better understanding.
Hope this helps
Cheers!
?
thank you very much. for now this worked so well... and I will wait for Nougat
No neeed to do so
I bought my M3 from LightIntheBox.com, and they send it directly from China so they Sent me the Chinese Model with No Google Play Store Either.
I just installed the Google Play Store APK and now I have an official working Google Play Store.
http://www.androidapksfree.com/apk/google-play-store-apk-latest-version-download/
-
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-store/
You can Download it Here.
I have also installed the 2017 firmware in Mediapad m3 with the Firmware Finder App, I did a full firmware rather than OTA and it Works perfect. But the Firmware it is still the Chinese version so you have to install the Google Play Store APK either way. But I have now the latest 2017 firmware installed in my M3
China version
Hi, I bought mine on a recent trip to China, easy enough to get play store installed and change the language over with the exception of the hiboard, this insists on keeping me in China and there is no way to change the region so all the news etc is all in Mandarin. If i update the firmware to the EU version for BTV-W09 will it update it or brick it?
China Version
Hey Lads,
Just got the M3 from China as well and I was wondering if I could flash a global rom in any way so that everything is in english and I can get all google services! Btw is Nougat out already? I am very new to all of this and if you could give a step by step guide i would sincerely appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!!!
@JTal yo bro did you manage to find a workaround and flash C100 onto the Chinese C233??
how do you know which firmware is the UK version and has no chinese in it?

Chinese Axon 7 Bluetooth bug

I've got an A2017 from AliExpress which I think has been loader with G firmware because it is all in English. It is a 7.1.1 b15 ROM.
There seems to be a Bluetooth bug in that release which means I can't connect to a Samsung gear sport watch. Id happily rollback to an earlier release but I don't want to have Chinese software. Is there a way to keep the G firmware?
Thanks
You do not have a G version as there is no B15 for G versions
That's weird because it is definitely not a Chinese Rom, I had another axon7 which had lots of Chinese bloatware, but at least I could do ota updates. This is on mifavor 4.2. it has all the Google apps including assistant, but the Bluetooth problem is annoying. I heard the AliExpress sellers messed with the phones to give them a European ROM.
If you go to settings "about phone" you can see the model, if it is A2017, A2016U or A2017G
Yes it says A2017 but I don't understand how everything is in English with Google play store etc. I did a factory reset and all the Google apps were there. Ifcit was a genuine Chinese ROM it wouldn't have them?

The Chinese software has many languages too... It's not like Chinese will have only Chinese language.
That sorta happens on the A2017U though, where they only have English and I think a couple more languages
If you want to install another model's ROM on your phone (say, A2017G to your A2017) you'll have to follow a guide. It is not as simple as downloading and flashing.

I had an Aliexpress A2017 before and yes it was in English but there were bits in Chinese and Google assistant never worked. This phone I know is Chinese but the software seems to be a proper European/American version. Ideally I'd like to stay on stock software so that I get updates but I don't want to lose the Assistant and google play functions. On my old phone I got it onto stock A2017 so that I got the updates but each time I had to download the google apps.
I definitely don't want to root the phone etc...
Is there a way to move to a different version which fixes the bluetooth problem but does not involve rooting etc...

You can only upgrade or downgrade really.
What version are you on?
My build is
A2017v1.1.0b15
My last phone I loaded the stock ROM which then did OTA updates I think I ended up on v2.2.0b18 but that had a gps bug!
