When I plug in the handsfree earphones that came with the phone, the ringer and alarms no longer play through the speaker, just the earpiece. So when it's not in my ear I can't hear the phone ring, is that normal? In any mobile phone it will still ring as you're not expected to wear it all the time or only plug it in when the phone rings. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks.
When you have regular headphones plugged into the phone and someone calls you, you hear the ring through the headphones as well as out loud. Is there a way to set it so that in such a case, you only hear the ring through the headphones? That way people around you don't hear the ring.
And how is it with a bluetooth headset? I mean a headset like the Jabra BT3030 while listening to music. (See pic) Do people around you also hear the ring?
I don't remember this with any of the other Galaxy S phones.
When i plug in my headset, i still can hear the notifications through the main speaker. Does the fascinate have some sort of setting to disable this? I'm used to plugging in headsets to basically mute the phone. It's annoying when i'm listening to music and everyone can tell when i'm getting texted.
Hi,
On my HTC M8 when I set it to vibrate, all speaker sounds are muted, when I plug in headphones, and listen to music, when I get a call, the ringtone will play through my headphones. Which is how I want it.
On S7 Edge when I set it to vibrate, all speaker sounds are muted, when I plug in headphones, and listen to music, when I get a call, the music stops and there is no ringtone, I never know am I getting a call or have I dropped from 4G/3G to GSM and spotify can't stream.
When I set it to soud, it plays the ringtone through the headphones but ALSO through the speaker, which makes no sense to me. Is there any way to change this behavior?

I've noted these matters. But I haven't come across a solution. Especially the last one. I don't know if Samsung considers it a bug or a feature. Ideally, if the headphones are plugged in, the phone speaker should not work in any way.
Thanks for the response! At least it is not a faulty headphone socket/phone then.
I like to listen to audio books. So most of the time I leave my ear buds connected to the phone. Every android phone I've had. Has rang the ringtone at the volume. You have it set on the phone, when you get a call. But on my phone it rings so low you can barely hear it in a quiet room. I would say you wouldn't be able to hear it ring with a headset connected to the 3.5mm connector in a loud area. Is this issue just my phone or is there a setting I need to adjust. Any help is much appreciated
edit: also I've disconnected the earbuds while its ringing and it returns the ringtone to full volume. Yes I have turned the ringer volume up with the headset connected to the phone and that doesn't help
have you ever been able to figure it out? I'm having the same problem.
