I'm currently on 5.0 rooted n9005 note3. Trying to fix this problem since yesterday and no luck, I think I can't restore efs. Anyone can help me?
All those can be solved by restoring EFS. You didn't make an backup?
Why do you think you can't solve it?

I think you can restore efs when you are rooted. And another way to fix that is change the original IMEI from original to another IMEI.

Well you already know about this being the wrong place and a mod will probably move it for you but anyway I'll just suggest that you use ODIN to reflash your phone completely back to stock and see if that fixes it.

You said you reflashed your rom and restored your efs folder but in order to at least restore your efs folder it means you are still rooted and probably flashing through your custom recovery which means you didn't go back to complete stock. Just use ODIN, not your custom recovery to get back to complete stock. Don't flash any custom pre-rooted rom, just try the original from Samsung. If your phone begins to function normally then you can safely say it was something you did after you rooted that caused the problem. If I misunderstood what you're doing my bad but that's how it sounds.

Hello. I just bought note 2 N7100 from friend and when I'm trying to call it says "Not registered on the network" and imei is 004999010640000 how to fix this? I find lot of ways on interned but i'm noob and I dont understand. My android is 4.3
It happened after I did factory reset
Can anyone help me? :/
try patch from dr.ketan and make sure it is not locked by gsm operator - when someone lost phone, operator can lock the IMEI, so you will have useless toy...
Your imei number is generic, you need to restore the backup of your efs partition.

I had an issue recently where my efs was corrupted (my IMEI said unknown). I did not have a backup but a flash of the stock ROM from Samsung using Odin solved my issue. If that didn't work I was going to try a tool called EFS professional that might help you also.

Did try the stock ones from the Samsung website? Not one that has been changed by the community at all. I also flashed a bunch of custom ROMs to no avail but the (latest) stock one worked.

IMEI is the machine serial number.
It may happen that due to various rom exchanges, wipes and resets, the IMEI will be lost, if this happens and there is no backup, the only solution is to send the device to assistance for repair and pay a new motherboard.
Having the backup can save some money.
Prerequisite:
Root
Stock Rom
In sdcard create a directory named IMEI
In the ADB mode with root:
dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/pds of=/storage/sdcard1/IMEI/pds.img
Keep pds.img file in a secure place.
to restore
In the ADB mode with root:
dd if=/storage/sdcard1/IMEI/pds.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/pds
reboot.

Your imei appear "null" or "unknow" on *#06#? If it's null its only a kernel drivers problem, or a simply bug, i already had this problem when i tried to flash a new kernel in cm11, losed both SIM's... But after restore a Nandroid backup of stock rom, all sems to work fine now... But, If your IMEI is unknow i think you can't do anything bro... anyway, try reflash stock rom :good:
