I see that the 6p is going to have WiFi calling on ee. Will this work on the Google play store version Or will we need to buy through ee?
I saw something about needing band 12 activation for tmobile for VoLTE. So will this be the same for ee and if so will it be flashable with the correct firmware?

The basebands for 3g are different in india. The i9020t comes with the 9020 baseband i think if you flash the 9023 baseband with the KD1 radio, Your 3g will work. I got my i9020t nexus from the US and am using it in india. I had a motherboard problem and got my motherboard replaced from samsung here. So they changed my baseband , Hence my 3g is working now.
I used my 9020 with vodaphone and got 3g in new Delhi. I was on vacation

I use the i9020T and I have no problems whatsoever with my 3G signal. Get speeds close to 4Mbps. I´m on BSNL Andhra Pradesh.
Which service provider? Maybe your service provider does not provide 3G in your area?
Or try this -- Go to Dialer and type *#*#4636#*#*
After that tap on Phone Information. In Set Preferred Network select WCDMA only. That´ll give you only 3G signal if available. If you want to go back to 2G select GSM only. If you want both select WCDMA Preferred but this is a huge battery drain.

Do NOT flash the 9023 ROM. That could make many things go wrong. If you're APN settings are configured then do what I said above and you'll have 3G.
Hi anirudh thank you very much for your reply I have already done that but it is of no help. Please educate me littme moe in this regard

Maybe you send some sort of msg to get 3g activated. For airtel you've to send "activate 3g" to 121. Maybe Vodafone has something of the sort too.
Hi anirudh in my mobile I have already done that so mobile connection is 3g active. Can yiu please give me your number

Frequent disconnection on Vodafone
Anyone facing frequent 3G disconnection on Vodafone network? I have 9020T and have KD1, what radio are you using?
That's the T-Mobile version. The Nexus S is not a quintaband phone. Tmobile 's 3G is 1700mhz band. So I do not believe you will be getting 3G with that phone in India.

I was getting 3G connection with Airtel/Tata Docomo all this while. Now i moved to Vodafone and suddenly it stopped. Moreover, i am getting 3G connections and can access data as well, but it automatically disconnects after a while like 20-30 mins.
This is working now after changing the sim from the same operator. In case someone is facing the same problem, talk to ur operator and get ur sim replaced.

Does anyone know how to remove AT&T's stupid account checker that runs when you enable the Mobile Hotspot? I have a SIM unlocked (company paid full price) SGH-I337 and I travel internationally and have SIMs for Vodafone, Bell, etc., but the Mobile Hotspot won't work with any other SIM. I'm assuming its because of AT&T's account validation. What do you guys think?

Try that. You'll need root though.

What network are you on

I am on T-Mobile in the USA. I thought is was due to being over seas and a weak wifi connection. But that is not the case.
I bought Galaxy S7 from T-Mobile and switch to Verizon network, however the phone does not connect to Verizon network, it connect to AT&T and even when I try to use my international SIM card it works just fine except with Verizon.
I flashed the modem image of Verizon Galaxy S7 and I was able to get 4G LTE signal but no phone calls or SMS I tried to flash the Verizon image with no luck it gave me about the PIT file, I tried the TMobile PIT the Verizon image was larger than the TMobile partition.
Can anyone help me figure out which image or what partial image I can Flash to make the phone capable of using the Verizon phone network?
Hardware isnt compatible. Verizon is cdma tmobile/att/cricket is gsm. Been down that road. Cricket now has an unlimited lte plan for 65$ thats where I went. Best deal out there and prepaid, bill is always the same every month

There were differences before, but this isn't the case anymore, Verizon is GSM/CDMA today, and they default to GSM, and as for the GS7 there is absolutely no HW difference between the US market versions.
Can someone help me figuring which image contain the drivers/code that control which frequency the phone chip connect to.
To be more clear modem.img in android control the 4G/3G driver, what control the voice transport driver?

APN settings control data link, not voice link.

This is not true anymore, that changed when they started using sim cards.

Does the TMo version support all the LTE bands that Verizon has? Also, in the case you don't have LTE service, you won't get 3G at all, since Verizon doesn't support HSPA at all.
Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
The CDMA radio on board isn't compatible with VZW voice network. This has been true for ages. VZW won't let a non-vzw certified device on their voice network because they literally don't have to. If your device supports compatible VoLTE that might work as it sends the call over GSM but if you ever lose LTE signal you won't be able to use that side of the network.

you can just flash to the verizon version without rooting the phone. Using odin.

Flash through odin doesn't require unlock bootloader. From what I have read. All four carrier can flash to each other without trigger anything.
N/a
When I try to flash using Odin, I get a message saying that the system image is larger than the partition, I tried to use the Verizon PIT to partition the storage with no luck!
