I have an RMA for the phone because I know the OS is corrupted somehow and it's not rooted . The only positive thing is that sound is awesome on it Harmon /Kardon sound is equal to the HTC M8 quality on headphones .

i read that some laptops with dolpy sound has some issues and screen problems
this is due to vibrations
can any body give us info about that
the only thing that make me decide to own a desire hd is the powerfull screen comparing with hd2 and old desire
if this is right or can happen it is very bad news
i forget to say i dont know enough about dolpy sound effect
It's called Dolby not dolpy lol.
There wont be screen issues because of Dolby, it just doesn't make sense.
No there won't be so don't worry
If vibrations are causing the screen problems the speakers would be pretty loud and thats more the speakers that Dolby, Plust the D'HD will only support Dolby through headphones so no risk of over vibrations there
thanks for ur reply
waiting the day to own DHD
Few years ago, when I used a Sony Ericsson k530i, developers similar to u wud release Sound acoustic patches, which I never personally tried, but feel the need for my LG Optimus GT540.
Anyone?
77 views but no reply yet? Sometimes I wonder how busy ppl can be! Developers, this is a serious issue !
Maybe I'm alone, but I have no idea what you are talking about. What is a serious issue? I've never owned an Ericsson so I don't know what you mean.

There were loads of patches released for Sony Ericsson's 'dumb phones' back in the day, there were patches for modifying pretty much anything eg increasing camera fps, audio volume etc. The OP is a asking for some sort of patch to affect the equaliser.
^^Thats right. I thot those kinda patches were generally available for most of the brands like Nokia, Samsung, n more.
When we talk abt LG, I've not tested the audio quality extensively, but I personally feel the sound cud be thicker. The sound frm the speakers is too low n crackles at high volumes, with a hiss sound (in case of Heavy Metal mp3s, especially). I'm not related to sound engg, so I'm not sure what exactly needs to be enchanced in the audio system.
In case someone has free time, cud they try out making such patches (if thats not tough to do)?
well, you have some equaliser apps for android, like DSP manager, but they wont magically enhance your audio quality, you have to tweak it yourself according to your taste..
Poweramp music player has a built in EQ, to change it to what ever you feel fits your needs. But, that cost some money.
I did try the trial version of PowerAmp, but thats not what I'm actually talkin abt.
I want the audio quality to get thicker, smoother with more stereo, and loudness without crackling/noise, especially on speakers. The in-ear sound quality is great (tho not the best), but I'm talkin abt speaker playback.
I'm unable to understand if the culprit is LG's speaker hardware or if the quality can be enhanced thru some software.
For instance, compare LG's speaker quality (or even in-ear audio quality) with Nokia 5800. Is it that Nokia uses high quality speakers or is it abt the software part?
Old Sony Ericsson phones were amazingly easy to modify (i remember the acoustic patches from my K750i days ).
Unfortunately, acoustic 'patches' in the form of AudioPara4.csv and AudioFilter.csv files have been removed in every new phone since the Nexus, which has annoyed me immensely
Your only option now is to use DSP manager or an audioplayer with an inbuilt EQ.
The optimus speaker is what is causing the poor sound. I believe the same speaker you listen to a phone conversation with is the same speaker you listen to music with. And it seems to me that its of not so great quality. However, i would love to have an equalizer for my optimus for deeper and better headphone quality sound. So off i go to try DSP Manager.
Sent from my GT540 using XDA App
Yesterday, when I asked one of the local technicians (though wasnt pretty qualified), he replied that its the software part of LG, n will sound the same no matter whichever speaker u replace it with (I'm talkin abt speaker playback here) ! Is there a possibility of this to be true?
Abt the playback on earphones, I still use the same earphones that came inside the Optimus' box. There are good chances that it wud sound better on a better pair of earphones, since I did try music on a frnd's Sennheiser pair. I think it needs a woofer-ish thumping effect n bit more thicker sound.
I tried zRoot n few more similar one-click rooting methods, but my phone never allowed rooting! I m a Windows non-advanced, no-risk taker guy, so I wudnt want to either try ADB (which I havent even installed yet), nor wud risk voiding my warranty. I donno if I shud do it since I fear my phone might ****-up doing these things n I cant afford any more bucks, which is why I cant even try DSP.
If someone here has tried DSP, can they tell me how effective is it?
The speakers on this phone are by far the best thing I've heard in a mobile device ever.
Just wow!
Agreed! I tried one yesterday and they were amazing!
HTC finally heard us after bashing them for years about tiny speaker :highfive:

So I heard you like speakers?
TAAAAAKE EEEEEEM!!!!!!!
Even the headphone output DAC is great with beats disabled.
I think this is the first time I have felt happy with an android phone sound wise.
Major breakthrough for Htc well done, now this is a proper upgrade compared to last years model in every dept unlike some others.

Hello cool don't own one yet but heard some reviews say great till you plug in high quality cans and turn off beats and sounds really low quality.
Deep breath please not trolling but what is your experience and the output of the phone with quality cans - bass tone with without equ etc i.e on my samy I add to install extra software as the yam chip is hopeless and I am waiting for the One to be stocked here to try.

Hi I don't use beats.
I have Sennheiser HD25's and I think they sound great on this phone a lot better than the S3.
Tom
who cares about the headphone sound? .. you can go beyond the limit with some sound driver customization!
even the speaker i am sure u can make them louder ... this phone is the hottest thing happen since android
So I currently have a OP3 and the single down-facing speaker is just not doing it for me. I've been looking at getting the Axon 7 but definitely won't unless/until the bootloader is unlocked. I was looking at the Nexus 6 though and it seems to have everything I need, although I do wish it had a fingerprint scanner and expandable storage. But my question is, for someone who owns the Axon 7 and has also owned or at least used a Nexus 6, how do the speakers compare?
Thanks in advance!
The speakers are comparable, but the A7 definitely edges it out in volume and fullness.
I had a N6 for a year and a half before getting the OP3...definitely missed the speakers when I made the switch.
Just got my A7 and the speakers are remarkable. I haven't been able to really spend time with them at max volume because it's too disturbing inside the house with others home. Going to let it flex it's muscle once everyone leaves this morning.
Once it's bootloader is unlocked the sound quality will further improve in clarity and loudness due to viper 4 android and arise sound mod. The maker of arise sound mod confirmed it

Not to mention Dolby Atmos (part of the Axon 7) loudness and clarity increases big time when is turn on.
But can't wait to root this device
Thanks for your input guys! I'll probably wait for a month or two to see what happens with the bootloader on the A7. Or at least root, I think I can survive without custom ROMs.
i dont know if any one noticed or not, but the sound quality is very very bad and level is very low, even cheap mobile from xiaomi ,and other brands have good quality sound output from 3.5 audio jack on their phone
Asus advertised about sound output, but believe me its very pathetic and not pleasing to hear music from earphone with this phone, guys just like there is a work around for camera, do we have anything to fix sound and music problem
please someone help how we can improve, what kind of mod we can apply to make sound loud and clear from headphone jack
hardware wise the phone is great but software wise worst,

Yeah I noticed this too, coming from Redmi Note 4 the sound on Max Pro M1 sounds kind of... muffled? Minor annoyance when I play rhythm game on mobile, cause I kind of need to hear the tapping sound. And I'm on the latest build update, so that means they haven't fixed it yet (though thank god they fixed the multitouch otherwise I won't get this phone).
Speaker sound is loud & clear, but headphone output is truly pathetic. I'm using 4 sound mods, and still not satisfied. There's almost no bass.
any one know how to fix this, as we know asus is not going to do anything for it
I read on Asus forum that one user solve the headphone problem by clearing the cache partition. Don't know if it work for everyone. https://www.asus.com/zentalk/in/thread-217606-1-1.html
