i just want to know that is it possible to flash sailfish os in yureka. I'm currently on blisspop rom. rooted and everything. please help or provide any link.
thank you
I think there is no intrusted in sailfish OS which is awesome rom...if possible any 1pls port it....
Guys, its not easy to port sailfish os to yu phones. Because it is not based on android os. it has a different base. And to be able to boot into sailfish os our phone needs to support multirom (which is not available yet). It can onle be installed as secondary rom in our devices.

I have an Alcatel OT 4010x, the Android version of OT Fire (I guess). Firefox OS should be able to run on my phone, right? If yes, can I request for a rom to flash in (and steps, if it's different from flashing an android rom)? Or maybe can someone please point me in the right direction? I have look around Firefox wiki page and XDA's Firefox OS page, but, it seems there's only a guide to port Firefox OS to other phones, can't find an OT Fire's rom anywhere.
Firefox OS needs Android ICS or higher
As far as I know, Firefox OS requires that you have Android ICS. XDA has some articles on how to install Firefox OS on specific devices such as HTC HD2, Samsung galaxy and Sony Xperia.

Isn't that like dual-boot or something? How about something like clean install or anything of sorts? Sorry if it's a noobish question, but, I don't really know about flashing a new OS, I only know about flashing roms of Androids.
Hello all
I was wondering if there will be AOSP/CM ROM for this device, not a single ROM is available and no dev is interested to work on such a great device.
Such a totally crap device, still stucked on 5.1.1 since launch, no dev is interested in the development either, where android n announced already, we are still waiting for Android M update, i wasted my money on such a **** device, will never buy a sammy mid range in future, m totally fed up with this
I think because there are few developer with that phone and they can't test their work. You can port ROMs such as CM to you phone by your self. There are tons of guides and forums. All u need is a linux OS (such as ubuntu, debian and others) and sources.

yep, I'm on kali and I use windows 10 to play games, so the only thing is: take care when partitioning. After you installed ubuntu there is a bootloader called "GRUB" and there you can choose if you want to boot windows or linux
Since google released the source, did anyone try building aosp 7.0 yet?Even xperia m managed to boot it XD
Since we have snapdragon 410 and with our kernel,Im pretty sure its compatible,1gb ram does the job too.

Moreover, there is another device Wileyfox Swift with almost the same specs as our phone has (the only difference is that in Wileyfox users have 2 gb of RAM). Still, enthusiasts managed to compile almost fully working ROM on AOSP 7.0 for that device. I think, that what is needed for our device is kernel. Once we have a kernel that supports Android 7, I guess it'll be easy to port that ROM for our device. I wish I were a dev to do all of that by myself

That ROM is ARM64 and kernel is compiled accordingly for x64. And the AOSP 7.0 ROM for Wileyfox is ARM.

MIUI 8
There are several problems with this base ROM:
It's built for ARM64, and, while our devices support it, Motorola have decided that it's better to run 32bit Android (don't know why but ok)
Its base is Android 4.4 KitKat. The G4 Play ships with 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
A much better choice would be the Moto G3 (2015)'s MIUI ROM here (base 6.0.1/CM13, 1GB RAM/8GB storage variant) since it is based on Marshmallow and runs 32-bit. I have tried to port it but it is stuck on the boot logo.

Thank you, I will definitely try, but it probably won't succeed because it is based on 5.1.1 while the Moto G4 Play ships with 6.0.1. I will let you know if it works.

Yu Yuphoria has many MM roms Too you just have to check out some , One of them is cosmic OS
Can anyone explain to me what is this Harpia?
When I pull out my back cover of My Moto G4 play, I see Harpia GPS, Harpia WiFi, etc. I googled "Harpia" and found a bird named for it. Which type of company is it?
We all know that Mi A1 is having A/B partition unlike most of the devices we see in the world of Android.
It is good to have that, we can experience seamless updates but, Is this reason making difficult for the developers to build custom roms for this device?
Do we get builds from Lineage os in future?
Do we get custom roms like aosp extended, aicp, mokee os & many others?
Do all devices get aosp extended, aicp ,mokee within one month of launch?
Yaar have some patience atleast.
Let sources be out...

Hey, shouldn't be hard at all, the chipset is very common which means making the right commits shouldn't be too difficult, of course it all depends on xiaomi releasing the kernel source code. Once the device tree is setup, all roms are very easy to port.
