You do not have an ideos x5. You have the honor?

If you can plug in your micro SD to your computer then you can most likely transfer the update and put in on your phone.

My problem is how do I get to do that. I have tried downloading the ginger bread Rom I had before but my phone won't recognize the update on my SD card when I power it on in recovery mode.

You need a micro SD to SD card converter then you need to convert that to USB. It's called a micro SD card reader.

Hey sunny I've been through this situation before. Make sure you batery is charged (use the McGayver Method or universal charger). Then boot in the bootloader (vol up + power button) and connect your device to the computer. RSD lite will recognize it as "S Flash OMAP 3630"
BE CAREFUL when you flash a sbf. I'm trying to revive my defy for months because of wrong sbf file... well, hope I helped you and sorry for my english.
