Hey guys!
I'm really NOT enjoying/using some of the apps that Samsung has preinstalled on the Edge+ (G928F). Is there a debloat script or app available for our devices?
As a last resort, can someone post a list of uninstallable apps and services? (Found one for the s6, but I fear that some stuff is different)
PS- Disabling apps is not a good option for a 32gb Edge+. I would like to free up some space.
Thanks in advance!
have a look here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-edge-plus/general/debloating-t3216103
without root there's no way to delete apps though
Thanks!
Thanks a lot!
As I expected, there are many apps and services to disable/uninstall and an automatic flashable script or app would have been great (maybe with aroma, so we can choose what goes and what and descriptions to all the files). A man can dream )
Is there a way to uninstall these apps? I'm rooted and have a custom kernel.

Hi there!
I've been looking around but didn't find any:
I have an LG G2 and I'd like it to be more privacy-aware / invisible.
I know many apps gather a lot of data. That's why I don't install those...
I barely play games on my phone, don't install apps that require permissions etc..
But I'm pretty sure Google and LG slipped a ton of analytics, junk and spy-crap into the stock ROM.
Is it reasonable to look for a Privacy ROM? If so, I'd have to put my trust into some 'random'-developer... Or should I just compose my own from scratch? (If so: where can I find the most mint/unbloated packet to start with?)
(Or should I just get me a legendary Nokia 3310?)
Thanks in advance!
Well you can make one yourself and you should start with stock just remove bloat but there are other options I use an xposed module called app settings and it allows you to decide what an app has access to (keeping in mind that you can't disable something that an app needs to work)
Sent from my LG-D800 running stock kk, rooted with philz using XDA app
and get the xposed module XPrivacy and get the root app AFWall+ (Firewall)
Once I root my note 4 n910f what are the first things I should install and do to make my phone even better? Your guys input is greatly admired

Root Explorer (paid playstore version) (free version is for un-rooted phones)
Titanium Backup - Root (paid playstore version is 10 times faster + more features)
There are other similar free apps which can do the same things but no where near as good and user friendly.
Good luck!

Hello all!
I have a Galaxy Note 4 910C(exynos), rooted and using DN5, and I always see people talking about bloatware that comes pre installed and are useless.
I'm wondering what are acutally those and how do I remove them?
Thx in advance!
since you'r rooted, use titanium backup. You can try the app called Greenify or simply disable those apps your app manager.

For a rooted device, KNOX related apps are bloatwares since rooted KNOX disabled & can't be used on a rooted device.
The other bloatware is user preference.
Which app that you don't use is a bloatware

That's exactly what I mean, any apps that you don't need.
You can even remove phone (if you never use your Note 4 for a phone call ) & Touchwiz.
Rule of thumb, if you never heard of it & it's not inside the App Drawer, don't delete it
NOTE: TouchWiz is not in the app drawer
I do it in a simpler way. First I clear the data from settings and then using root explorer I go to system/app folder and I directly delete preinstalled apps that I never use for example- samsung push service, mobile print, chat on, hangouts, google books, yahoo weather, etc. Theres another folder called system/priv-app
WARNING: Don't delete apps you have absolutely no idea about. It can cause your phone's OS to malfunction.

This. I don't have a note 4 (yet). but I learned it the hard way on my nexus 4. thank god for TWRP and its file manager.
Usually what i do is backup the app before i uninstall it to see if i notice any system instability caused by uninstalling it.

I too don't have a note 4 right now. But will be buying soon this christmas. I learnt most of these things by customizing my galaxy grand 2.
I am working on debloating apps. Basically I am making a list for my self which apps are safe to disable. Have you guys made any list?

check out this thread for a list/reference of uninstallable bloatware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3017596
This thread is just the set-up I am using to archieve the best battery life on my Galaxy S6. Some things need root and some not, I will mark them with [ROOT] if they need it.
1. [ROOT] Use a custom kernel. I am using arter97's kernel right now.
2. Download Package Disabler Pro and deactivate as many apps as you can, but watch out, do not deactivate apps that are needed by the system!
Alternatively with [ROOT] you can use any app to completely uninstall as many bloat as you can. There are free apps in the play store.
3. Download AdGuard. As this app says, it will block any kind of ads and this will save you some battery.
4. [ROOT] Tweak your rom. Any custom rom you will find will contain tweaks, but these arent exclusively, you can add any tweak to your build.prop file. There are many tweaks to find in google, just add them in build.prop, if you add the wrong, your phone will end in a boot loop. I will write some tweaks I use in the second comment.
5. [Partly ROOT needed] Download Amplify (& Greenify). I think Amplify is way more attractive in saving battery than Greenify, but it's in your own decission. In Greenify you should know what you are doing, by googleing it up
As soon as I find more, I will write it up here
Please press the thanks button if I have helped you

Hi the best way to remove a System App is by using root. (http://kingroot.br.uptodown.com/android)
After you rooted it, is just going to play store and intall this app to remove de apps (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp)
Anyway you can also follow this tutorial and remove them without rooting
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAe2kxUOhJA)
The best roms now to me are on XDA:
If you want just battery life expanded install one like Helios Or Ressurection
If you want more functions like a lot of customize options use one like Superman or Renovate And you will not lose that look of samsung on main interface
If you want to go further, install an s8 port or s8+ like batman or Sac23's Roms
Personally i use the sac23's rom v5
(https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/rom-n7-rom-port-romcontrol-t3430358)
It give me a lot of s8 fuctions like Bixby and others, have a really good battery life and manegement and the way they convert the graphics and images like lookscreen clock is just amazing
Hope I have helped you
Yes, but......

1. As much as I know about your writing, you want root. So it's no big deal to remove the app system you want (with root). I usually use titanium backup for it.
2. If you still want without root, maybe this can be tried.
