hello. please is there a way for this? i had "notifier plus" app but in p8 lite doesn't work, perhaps for emui launcher.... is there to enable, even with an app the number of unread messages in GMAIL and WHATSAPP? i prefer keeping stock launcher, very speed for me!

I don't think it is possible using stock launcher (not sure on this though).
I'm using Nova Launcher Prime + Tesla unread and it works very well.

Hello everyone,
I have a nexus 4 with kitkat, and lately I tried some custom launcher : Buzz launcher, then Themer launcher with icon badges enabled. One thing I noticed is, I stopped receiving notifications from Facebook and Twitter (and maybe some other apps) on my status bar.
Then I moved to Hola Launcher, but I still have the problem. Even with Hola notification installed, no notification badge on Facebook and Twitter icon.
Any idea on how to restore it, without moving back to the system launcher ?

I've searched a bit under the S7 edge specific threads here, and I haven't seen anyone else mention this. For some reason, I have no unread notification badges on top of my app icons.
One of the first things I did when I got the phone was to change from the Touchwiz launcher to the Google Now launcher. Is this the culprit? If so, is there any way to rectify it without 3rd party permission-hungry apps?

That would be why. Not sure with Google Now Launcher, but Nova has its own separate program to handle this.
Hmm... so I slapped on the Nova Launcher and the Tesla Unread and I configured Tesla Unread on things like Gmail, Messenger, Phone... and no joy. In the setup area of Tesla Unread I can see my unread Gmail messages in parenthesis, but it doesn't plop it on the icon.
I tried doing a clear data of BadgeProvider, then a force stop... and finally a reboot.
Should I just wipe this thing and start over???

Did you grant TeslaUnread notification access.? Go to unread count badge>teslaunread settings>then in should prompt you to grant notification access.
Nova Prime with Tesla Unread is working flawlessly for me, +1 on the notification permissions, probably.

So, my badges are $5. Didn't realize that was part of the pay bit of Nova Launcher.

Ohhh my bad, I've had Nova Prime sooooo long that I didnt realize that it wasnt included in the free version. Well worth it though:good:

Hi there. I'm having an issue with notifications on my lockscreen when using a custom theme. I don't see new notifications until I unlock my device. I have no issues seeing notifications when using a default lockscreen style, like Magazine style for example. Does anyone have a fix? Thanks in advance
You can't fix that. It looks like it depends on theme developer. I couldn't get notifications on any custom lockscreen both on my honor 8 lite nor my Huawei P9 lite, except the Pure AOSP (available on play store).
Only on that one I'm getting lockscreen notifications on both phones.

Did you try going to Settings~Notifications & status bar~Notifications management , and there check in the app that you want the notification to show in the lock screen the option 'Display on the lock screen'?
You can also access that settings in the App info of each app, and there in 'Notifications'.

Could be a nova launcher issue but is anyone running Nova launcher with the tesla unread addon? The email app is the only app where the count badge is not working. Anyone else experience similar issues? On my galaxy s9, it works fine. S10 it does not.

It is for me with Pie GS9+ & GS10+. Without it, I don't get notification dots/numbers anymore, which was weird. And, yes, I checked and enabled the settings from the main Novalauncher settings.

same issue with my S10+
no samsung email badge in Nova- can get the dots but Testla Unread selected doesn't seem to work.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled made sure all permissions given but nothing

works on my s10+ . had to allow in permission and make sure nova prime was installed.

You need to enable notification dots (obviously with message count) in the settings (the samsung one), this will enable Nova to do the same thing (with its own theme) without tesla unread
My phone APP keeps showing the missed call badge even though I have opened the app and checked the missed calls. Badge seems to clear after a certain number of days. I've looked to see if I could have turned the badge off but don't seem to be able to find this setting (if available).

Are you using stock or custom ROM? Which one? What dialer app are you using?
One thought that comes to mind is that you are running a custom ROM with a built in dialer but have installed the Google dialer. In a case like this, you med to make sure your dialer is set to be the default.
Totally default ROM with the only exception of the nova launcher . It started if I am not mistaken right after the android 10 update.

mine is doing the same, notification disappears if I tap from lockscreen or if I unlock phone then go to dialer app & tap the missed call, but if I don't tap missed call then it will only disappear if I reopen the dialer app a 2nd time. Also running stock Android 10 with Nova (though it is beta ver 6.2.0)
Happens the same on my Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, stock Android 9 (Android One), with Nova Laucher.
Started after the July update.
Same on me. Nova and Android 10.

It's gotta be the Testa Unread App that comes with Nova Launcher. I can clear the notifications if I open the app and quickly turn off and back on the Phone APP notification.

If I'm correct, Telsa Unread only comes with the paid version of Nova.
This issue also happens with a frind of mine that is using Android Microsoft Launcher on a Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, Android 9.
On the other end, my wife, just like me on a Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite with Nova Launcher (paid version), Android 9, never experienced this issue.
I have this same problem, running stock android 10 and nova prime (paid version). They clear a few days it seems, haven't figured a workaround or shortcut to get them to clear just yet.
