Sounds like a stupid question, but I have been on Net10 and it is terrible... MMS receive doesn't work, data is spotty (excellent connection to HSPA+, just loses data flow) and their customer service is total crap, so I am looking for a different prepaid carrier but it must be on AT&T's network as T-Mobile has no service here (well, voice and 2G roaming, but they do not market here), so what are my options?
Currently I am looking at GoPhone and AIO Wireless, but what other options are there out there that will allow for a minimum of 1.5-2GB of data, 500 minutes/month, and and at least 1000 SMS/MMS messages per month that just works reliably for ALL services? BTW, this is Bismarck, North Dakota, so it pretty much has to be a nation-wide provider.

I live in Pierre, South Dakota and I just bought my AIO SIM card yesterday. I was using GoPhone for a few months and I don't have one complaint about their service. Speeds were more than what I needed (I pulled down around 6-8 mbps around town). I simply wanted to try AIO because of their 3rd free month promo, plus I like switching service a lot just to test out options. If AIO doesn't work for me, I'll go back to GoPhone. So my advice? Go buy an AIO SIM + plan now, activate before Sept 29 to qualify for the third free month, then switch to GoPhone if AIO isn't working out.
i have had straight talk(att sim) no issues whatsoever in my area. Wifey has straight talk (Tmobile sim) with same results. My second alternative(if ST starts giving me crap) would be the new at&t $60 prepaid(gophone) plan. Cant go wrong with that.

Hmm... interesting, worth checking out...
It seems that promo requires you to buy 2 consecutive months up front though, so $110 for first three months then $55/month after that. Not sure if I am comfortable with that...
Offer ends 9/29/13. New customers only. One month free per customer. Auto-pay enrollment required for in-store activations. Purchase of two consecutive months of service on a qualifying Rate Plan required. Third month free applies to Aio's Rate Plans (Basic, Smart and Pro) and does not include features or other services...

Hm, I interpreted that as you just buy the first two months when you need to, meaning $55 now, $55 next month, then the third is free. I could be wrong though, and if I am I guess I don't qualify. I assumed it was like that because I don't see any way to buy two months at once.

GoPhone or AIO are really all I am hearing about here... Tracfone (and it's variations) are not going to be an option anymore for me, their service, for whatever reason, just doesn't work properly for me for receiving MMS messages, everything else is OK except the spotty data link (not HSPA+ link, that is always rock solid).
GoPhone I am fairly confident will work, AIO Wireless seems to have a fairly good rep as well.
go with gophone. its 2 or 3gb cant remember and unlimited everything else for $60 you get WAY better customer service. As far as coverage ive heard its the same as Tracfone or any other MVNO. I use to have gophone begining of last year and it was pretty much same coverage as my current ST att sim. Not sure if anything changed from then and now.

It's 2GB on GoPhone, AIO wireless is also 2GB... AIO states you get 2GB at full speed and "reduced speeds" if you exceed it, extra data can be purchased at $10/GB and they will send a message if you hit 75% of your limit. I assume GoPhone does something similar? Also, although it's not for me, AIO has a 7GB/month plan for $70 per month.

That 70 gb sounds much better IMO. Depending on how much data you need. I personally dont use much, I have wifi available 90% of the time lol. Go to http://www.howardforums.com/forumdisplay.php/325-US-Prepaid-MVNO-Discussion, they have all the answers you might have.

I only use about 1-1.5 GB per month, I broke 2GB once and that was when I was travelling for work for two weeks in one month about 2 years ago, other than that $70 plan would be a waste... Thanks for the HowardForums link, I used to use that forum long ago but it kind of got filed away and lost in my memory in the last few years.

cool, yeah i dont even use 500mb a month lol, so yeah it would be a waste.
As I posted earlier, I used GoPhone for the past few months and it's great. I have the 2GB plan and it's more than enough. I bought an AIO SIM yesterday with the $70 plan just because it was $15 more. Being prepaid, if I can't find a way to reach anywhere near that, even being completely wasteful, I'll switch to the $55 plan.
Anyway, one thing to keep in mind OP: AIO throttles you before you reach your data limit. From their website regarding data speeds:
4G LTE service currently offers download speeds up to 8 Mbps and our 4G HSPA+ service currently offers download speeds up to a maximum of 4 Mbps. On our 3G HSPA/UMTS service, typical download speeds range from approximately 700 Kbps up to 1.7 Mbps.

Those speeds are good enough for me, the most data I use is streaming Pandora and that might change now that I have 7gb to waste, but it's just something you should keep in mind when deciding.

GoPhone texts you when you're at 70% of data and you can add more data at any time. With GoPhone you have an AT&T account and go through their customer service, its their own pay-as-you go plan whereas they are trying to market AIO as a separate service.

Another thing with GoPhone is you can use the self serve kiosks in AT&T stores to refill your account (or do it by phone, text, on-line or ask a customer service rep in the store to do it). Here in MI you don't pay taxes at the kiosks and I'm not sure if that works in other states.
What's wrong with straight talk? $45 a month, unlimited talk and text with your choice of at&t or tmobile sim. Data is supposed to be unlimited as well, but some users report being throttled after 2 gigabytes, others seem unaffected (google it). But seeing as how u don't normally go over 2 gigs, this sounds like the perfect plan for you! Other than some users being throttled after 2 gigs I haven't heard anything bad about straight talk. For $45 a month u can't beat it
Edit: Just to clarify, I'm currently using straight talk on my one x with no issues! Like the O.P. I'm mainly on WiFi and never go over 2 gigs of mobile data. ST is perfect for me and I am considering ST for my nexus 4 as well.

Can't get MMS receive to work, tried every setting I could find, along with GoSMS and Handcent, worked with their tech support for half a day and the came back in the end with "sorry, but we don't guarantee MMS to work" after two tech support people and a supervisor failed to be able to fix my problem. Plus the data is unreliable, I am in an area with excellent coverage and the data stream just stops for minutes at a time well I have full signal, then just comes back.
I have just lost faith in Net10/Straight Talk to be honest.

Hm interesting, I did not know that thanks. It appears mms is a bit of a problem for many ppl when using tmobile prepaid, or straigh talk, with the nexus 4. But Many people were able to resolve their issues using the fixes suggested on this reddit thread http://www.reddit.com/r/nexus4/comments/1iwgx6/cant_receive_mms_messages_with_my_att_straight/ it appears to be random tho bcuz some still experienced issues after trying this.

How many of are you thinking switch to Project Fi, once you have the Nexus 6p. For me I ordered nexus 6p from play store then order Fi from Fi lol but most likely they will come same time. I am on TMO unlimited, but most of the time I am on wifi so I will be saving good amount of money I guess. lets share your thoughts on Fi
#graphitebros :cyclops:
Am already using Fi as my secondary account: have ordered my 6P and my Fi sim and it looks like the Fi sim will be here first. Am traveling to Puerto Rico tomorrow so will test out Fi there as I hear it is working well there.

How is the service, is there any drop call or sometimes ?
Honestly I have been using sporadically so I can't make a definitive judgement but haven't had any issues yet. I will know more starting tomorrow when I begin heavier usage or at least hope to. I was in PR a few months ago and VZW was god awful: only 3g at best when there was a signal.

Debating switching from T-mobile. Currently on a 1gb individual plan for $60/mo including taxes. I'm sure I would save money switching to Fi, but I don't think I can give up music freedom, which is what allows me to stay within 1gb of data per month.
I've been on Fi for a couple of months now with my N6 daily driver. You must remember that any carrier's service is highly subjective, varying greatly due to location, the layout and construction of any enclosure (building, car, etc.), a specific device's reception capabilities, and about a thousand other things. So, it may be fantastic for one person, and absolutely horrid for another.
Having said that, I'm generally happy with the service. It's still an "Early Access" (beta) service right now, so yes, there have been some issues, and the switching from carrier to carrier (or wi-fi) isn't perfectly seamless, but it works most of the time. In my area, AT&T, my former carrier, was absolutely horrid. By that, I mean... things like, my in-laws' house is about 3 blocks away from the AT&T tower, yet I get zero signal there. Not even kidding. While my N6 shows that my average "bars" aren't really that different than what AT&T showed, I've yet to have a dropped call, or any lack of service. The only hiccup I've ever had is the inability to answer a call from time to time, which is admittedly hella annoying, but it's been rare, and at least I can always call right back. Of course, the N6 isn't the most stable phone on the planet, so I can't conclusively point the finger at Fi for the few issues I've had. (By the way, at my in-laws' house, I have a perfect signal, via their wi-fi -- including cellular voice. Yea, Fi.)
Right now, Fi switches between T-Mo and Sprint, using come super-duper complicated algorithm... which seems to essentially be: If signal from one is lost, try the other. It's not yet very good at actually picking the strongest signal, or (as others have reported -- I haven't really seen it) even selecting a 4G signal over a 3G one. However, this is improving, and I've no doubt that it will continue to do so. Oh, and I should point out that in many places, such as several restaurants in my area, it doesn't matter, because it will happily use a strong open wi-fi signal instaead. When it does, you'll automatically get hooked up with a VPN tunnel for security, and any data usage won't count against your data pool. I've made and received calls over such connections with no issues, and excellent clarity.
My point with all of this is to tell you whether or not you'll like Fi... and my answer would be: Maybe. It has it's pros and cons, most of which are widely known. The rest are pretty much identical to any other carrier. Is it worth a try? Sure. Can it save you money? If you're a light data user, sure. If not, then probably not. I can only tell you that I'm still using Fi as my daily driver. My wife just got her invite, and will be using Fi as her daily driver when her Nexus 5X arrives. By January, we could both be very happy Fi customers, or we could both be somewhere else. The very best thing about Fi is: We are under no obligation to stay, and if it ever stops working for us, we can leave with no ETF.

I'm gonna order it on project fi today. If project fi's signal selection is really bad I might switch to ting, but if you use more than 2 gb of data a month plus some calls and text fi is cheaper than ting. Neither are contract locked so I can switch at any time and go back and forth, but at the end of the day with ting I'll only have t-mobile towers (sprint sucks in my area) and it'll cost more, so if fi works I'll be sticking with it for a long time.

Using dialer codes, you can lock your Fi signal to a single carrier (Sprint or T-Mo), which is essentially the same as choosing GSM (T-Mo) or CDMA (Sprint) from Ting, plus you have the added benefit of Wi-Fi usage where available. So, you *can* avoid the carrier switching issues, while maintaining more flexibility than Ting offers. Thus, there's very little reason to choose Ting over Fi, once you have the Fi invite.

Actually ting supports wifi calling too (it's very poorly documented and advertised) but thanks for this! Makes me sure that fi is the right choice unless wifi at my school and home gets drastically better.
I've been using my N6 on Fi for over a month now and just ordered the N6P to replace it. I started with my N6 on Sprint who I have been with for over 10 years and I am glad I finally made a change. Granted I was even grandfathered into a Sero 500 plan and Fi is still better. I am on WiFi most of the time so out of the 3gb plan I chose I got paid back over 25 bucks and zero call or message issues like while on just Sprint.

I thought about it, but not sure if it would be worth it at $10/gb. I'm currently paying just under $60 after taxes for unlimited (I have a $10/mo refer-a-friend discount and a 15% corporate discount). Maybe once my discounts expire, I might give it a try. Haven't seen Band 12 on my Note 4, so having access to Sprint's EVDO network and open WiFi networks when I'm inside buildings would be great. I typically get either no reception or Edge (which is virtually no reception) inside certain buildings or when I'm inside and I have my Note 4 in my pocket.
FYI, I requested an invite a couple of days ago and got an instant invite, so they might be giving those out now to expand their customer base a bit faster.
I'm waiting for my wife to get an invite and for a one dead weight family member to get the hell off my family plan before I make the move to FI.
I ordered Fi yesterday, and I'm switching from Sprint. I hope the SIM comes before the phone!

I actually wasn't going to order a Nexus for a while (still have a few months on my Verizon contract), but decided to request an invite to Fi in the meantime. To my surprise, I got an instant invite, so I bought a Nexus. Worst case is if Fi doesn't work well for me, then I just throw the Verizon SIM in the Nexus. Best case is that my wife and I will be able to pay ~1/3 of what we are currently paying.

Not on one of the big 4 here in the USA with your Angler? Since the Nexus 6p is mostly not carrier subsidized, I'm thinking this is a good place to find out what MVNO's people are using to save money.... If so for you, please tell us who your with, what plan your on with them, and why your with them!! And anything else you care to share both good and bad...
In the last year I have been on the following MVNO's...
Ting - Sprint
Ting - T-Mobile
Straight talk - T-Mobile
Straight talk - Verizon
Straight talk - AT&T
Google Project Fi
Cricket - AT&T
Page Plus - Verizon
Verizon Prepaid
AT&T Gophone
And have signed up for Harbor Mobile AT&T and Red Pocket Mobile Verizon. Haven't received the Sim's yet for the last 2.. Let me know if you have questions on any of these. Will be happy to report my results
In addition to that, I was in contract with the real big red dollar sucking Verizon and also was on the real big Orange AT&T on a company business plan.

Been using Straight Talk AT&T for about 3 years now.
Reasonable price ($45), 5GB of 4G data, and a strong AT&T network keeps me with them.
I switched from Sprint post-paid on December 2013 back when I bought my Nexus 5 and decided to go with Simplemobile to pay half of what I was paying with Sprint. It all went well up until 5 months in when all of a sudden I lost data connection for the better part of a month, as usual with MVNO's the customer service is flaky so I couldn't find out what was wrong.
I then switched to t-mo $30 plan but the whole 100 minutes per month had me cutting people's conversations short or forcing them to use wifi calling apps. It became too much of a hassle so I decided to go with Straighttalk using t-mobile's service. I used them for a whole year without any issues, however I kept looking for cheaper service and that's when I discovered Cricket. For $35 a month (taxes and fees included) I get everything I need and since I don't use much data, 2.5GB a month is more than enough for me.
Once this month is up I'm going to try project Fi, since I use less than 1GB of mobile data I would probably end up paying less than with Cricket.

Yeah, I really like Straight talk AT&T as well.. Did you know that they have a new plan, 10gb for 55$ !! Cant hardly beat that! Here are the details.

Yup, Customer service is the number 1 complaint with MVNO's.. If you live where Sprint and T-mobile have good coverage and you aren't a heavy data user then Fi is an excellent choice!! I currently have it on one of my phones and really like it except that where I live both Sprint and T-mobile have less than ideal coverage. Also, FI has excellent customer service!

I'm on the MetroPcs $60 unlimited plan. Both me and my wife are on it so I get $5 off each line. Its comes down to $110 a month. They throttle after 23gb but I always end the month at about 20gb.

Same here.. I've been using way more than 23gb though and have never been throttled... My data speed is faster than my wifi so I'm always using my mobile data
So can any one please confirm that with the Nexus 6P on Metro PCS... Does WiFi calling and VoLTE both work OK?
Im on MetroPCS I can confirm Wifi Calling works great although you have to delete all the apns then change the APN on GPRS to MetroPCS from fast.tmobile... To fast.metropcs... VoLte is enabled too not sure how to test it though. Also visual voicemail might work also in stock dialer but Im on PureNexus rom can anyone confirm it works? I flashed Google Fi Dialer.

Cool! Post some screen shots of your APN settings please!! One way to test to VoLTE is check and see if you have mobile data while on a phone call. What about roaming to AT&T where T-Mobile has no coverage? Any luck there? T-Mobile had finally turned up LTE in my area and I'm considering using them in my back up phone. I have FI now, but to expensive if you use lots of data and FI has no mobile data while on the phone.
Visual Voicemail works in the stock dialer also

Anyone using this on there 6p? I just ordered it , looks to good, the concept sounds awesome, but i dont see the carriers picking it up as they would lose money

I'm in Canada so no Fi but since it uses the 5x and 6P I'd say yes..
I use FI and no issues. It's as it says: pay for what you use and get a credit for any unused. I don't know what you mean by carriers 'picking it up,' cause Google pays to let their service use another's signal. With 3 carrier supported service, coverage is great.
I'm currently using Fi in the US on my 6p, after switching from Verizon and AT&T. If you're able to sip data and don't mind watching your usage, it's actually great. I'm on WiFi 85% of the time, download music offline, and my phone bills have dropped by $80+ a month compared to what I paid for and what I actually use.
All in all, Fi can totally be worth it for you if you want it to. But coverage wise, I've never had a single issue.
I have been using Fi on my 6P for months and I love it. You get WIFI calling and native visual voicemail. Just like the previous post stated if you are mostly on WIFI and dont use a ton of data then Fi is the way to go with a Nexus device.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA-Developers mobile app
Fi has been pretty good for me. I wouldn't go back to Verizon because I am saving so much money, but it's certainly not perfect. Namely switching between T-mobile and Sprint towers is not nearly as seamless as I had hoped. I agree with others, if you're on wifi a lot and don't use a lot of data, it's great!
I had Fi for three months but ended up switching back to T-Mobile for the following reasons:
-In my area, Tmobile coverage is so much better than Sprint coverage, yet, Fi always connected to Sprint towers even though the signal was weaker.
-No VoLTE on Fi.
-If you use more than 3 GB per month, Fi becomes less price competitive IMHO.
I have fi on my 6p and all in all I really like it. I can't say that the service is the best in the world especially for 2 carriers (there is no us cellular in my area so I only have 2) and I have wifi from my cable company and they have hotspots all over the place if it wasn't for that I would use a whole lot more data. I used to use metro and had unlimited data for $60 a month with Fi I got it down to about $40.
I look forward to trying it out, my comment about the carriers is this , i dont see any of the big guys like att saying " gee ya signed up for 4 gigs a month, ya only used 1 gig, guess we'll credit you the 3 gigs back in.coin" thats what im talking about

Been using Fi on my 6P since it was released, love it. So much better price-wise than big red was/is. I'm rarely off WiFi, so having a lot or overcharged data just isn't worth it to me. Most months I use less than a dollars worth of data and Fi gives me that back towards my bill. Between Sprint and T-Mobile my coverage has been great, if I find I'm having data "issues" I just use the app Fi Switch to switch to the other carrier. Calls and text though I've never had an issue.
Project Fi works great for me in Louisiana. I pretty much always on WiFi so my bill every month is like 24 dollars.
Hello everyone! I'm going to cut right to the chase. I currently have a Nexus 6p. It's a great phone and functions fine however it may be time to upgrade to the 835 snapdragon as I perform more complex tasks with my phone. I am using Project Fi as my current cellphone provider because it is a great deal:
$20 a month for cell service and $10 for 1 gb of data = $30... and if you don't use it refunds you the unused amount so I pay roughly $24 a month for service, You can't beat it.
I want to keep Project Fi as my provider but I need to trick the ONEPLUS 5 into thinking it is a Google Pixel. I have thought of 2 solutions to this problem:
1: Is there anyway I can flash a Google Pixel rom or PureNexus to the OnePlus 5? (I feel this is unlikely but want to see if it's possible)
2: Edit init.sh file on the phone to trick the phone into thinking it is a Google Pixel.
Any assistance and solution to my Problem will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I too had the Nexus 6p running on Project Fi but switched carriers a couple of months ago so I could use a non Nexus/Pixel phone like the 1+5 which I was planning on getting since my 6p was already feeling sluggish on day to day use. I too thought that Project Fi's prices were unbeatable since I also normally use less than a Gigabyte of data a month but some months I would go over the limit and pay around $35. I actually found another MVNO that uses T-Mobile's service and is actually cheaper, with 2 Gigabytes of data monthly I'm currently paying less than $20 dollars a month for it.
As for using Project Fi on another phone like the 1+, you probably don't even have to modify the software, it should work right off the bat but with a few caveats. First, it will only work on T-Mobile only since the 1+5 doesn't support Sprint's network. Second, you probably won't get Project Fi's cellular to wifi calling hand off capability and third, you probably won't have Project Fi's app installed in your phone to monitor data usage and payments, unless of course it allows you to sideload it to your phone.
The problem I believe is the OP5 doesn't support Sprint, US Cellular, or even Verizon in the first place.

What the others have told you is correct. You'll be able to use your Fi sim in the 1+5, but it will just sit on T-Mobile. The 1+5 doesn't have cdma capability. I retired my 6p last week when my 1+5 arrived and switched my service to T-Mobile. I know the service is more expensive than what I was paying with Fi, but I'm seeing better coverage and speed. Fi always wanted to keep me on Sprint. Another plus, the T-Mobile Digits service is like being back on Google Voice. As far as the phone, I'm loving the 1+5 compared to the N64.

Project Fi does not work straight out of the box. There may be some nifty work-around that I'm not aware of, so your results may vary.
Signed up for Project Fi (telling their system I had my own compatible device)
SIM arrives few days later
Install Project Fi app from Playstore. It's there and let's you install it.
BUT this is where the problem is...
Insert Fi SIM into Oneplus 5 and open Project Fi app to activate, per instructions (no way to activate on PC)
Getting continuous loop telling me my Google account yet associated with Project Fi and cannot proceed. (when it is. that's how I was able to get the SIM in the first place)
Clicking the button to "sign up" just cycles back to the error screen.
Google support chat tells me there is no way to manually activate the SIM and assign a phone number... Bummer

In order for Project Fi to work in a non Fi compatible phone first you have to activate Project Fi using a Project Fi compatible phone. Once you have done that you can move the Fi sim card to any other T-Mo compatible phone and it should work. Back when I had Project Fi on my Nexus 6p I successfully used the service on Moto G3 and Honor 5x, albeit without the features that I mentioned in my previous post.

Because you aren't in the US... We think the price you pay for fuel is an awful deal as well, but you can't compare two completely different countries with vastly different economies.
You also can't compare pounds and dollars - the exchange rates just screw everything up. I live in Australia where it's roughly $2AUD to the pound. You're telling me to pay $56/month when I can get a plan that is basically the same for $250AUD a year (Kogan plan - 10gb data/month and unlimited calls/txts) - the catch is you pay upfront for the year....
Depending on were you are, Ting is a great option if you don't have your heart set on Project Fi. There GSM network works fine with the 1+5 and would actually be either cheaper or around the same price. my current bill changes month to month(because the charge at the end of the month for how much you use) but mine comes out to either 15$ or 23$.

whoa wasn't having a go, easy tiger.
Petrols one thing, but I'd have thought carriers were a little closer when it comes to deals and what providers offer.
PS: (Slight dig) I won't go into why i think you have cheaper fuels
Project Fi does sound interesting, but I don't think the deals are there yet unfortunately, however if the US carriers are offering less for more money then yea go for it man, sounds like a winner.

No you don't need to do anything crazy to make it work on any GSM based device that's capable of receiving T-Mobile service. I'm currently using a OnePlus 5T on project fi after using the Nexus 6P which is the device I started my service with about 2 years ago. As long as you have already activated your service using one of the required phones which are supported by Google then you're good to go. You can even install the project fi app on any other Android device and it will tell you that this device is not supported for calls and text, however that isn't exactly true. Whichever device has your main Sim in it will be able to get calls and texts through the stock Android apps just fine.
A lot of people tell you that you have to use a Hangouts app in order to get SMS messages on unsupported devices but it's not true you can get calls and texts through the stock Android apps even with custom roms you just have to make sure that you go into the Hangouts app and you disable SMS messages for the account that's tied to your project fi service otherwise you'll only get your SMS messages through the Hangouts app. If you have Hangouts dialer installed then you have to make sure you also disable the option for incoming calls which can be found in the same section as the SMS option in the Hangouts settings for the email address that's used on your project fi account. Once you do that you'll be able to get calls and texts on the phone with the main sim card installed like you would in a device that's officially supported.
I should also mention that there are benefits to using the Hangouts app though. For instance let's say you have more than one device and you decide to order a couple data-only Sims, f you use the Hangouts app and you allow it to receive incoming calls and text messages for the email address tied your project fi account then what will happen is you'll be able to get phone calls and texts on any device that you use no matter what it is whether it's a tablet or a cell phone or an iPhone, just make sure you install Hangouts on each of those devices. You'll essentially be able to use whatever device you want but any phone that's using a data-only Sim will be using data in order to make phone calls and text no matter where you are so you got to keep that in mind. If you choose not to use the Hangouts app then the data Sims will only give you data coverage on your devices and you won't be able to use them as if they were like your normal cell phone. But if you choose to disable to Hangouts option then the device that has your normal SIM card in it won't have to operate over the data Network in order to use your calls and texts. It will even work on an iPhone and you'll be able to use I messages as well you won't be restricted to Hangouts app in order to get calls and texts but you can only do that with your main Sim on an iPhone. A lot of what Ive read on line is not true with regards to using unsupported devices.
If you choose to bypass the whole Hangouts feature and you only have one device and you follow what I said above then the only disadvantage you'll end up experiencing is that you won't be able to transition between the networks that project fi works on so your coverage will be limited to areas where there's T-Mobile coverage. In my specific area T-Mobile coverage is awesome and I've seen speeds of like 80 Mbps over lte.
Oh I should also add that if you happen to have any other Android devices with Hangouts installed you have to make sure that you disable SMS messages for your project fi account on all of your devices otherwise you'll still only get your SMS messages through Hangouts so if you're not getting your messages just make sure you check your other devices you sign out of there and then you're good to go.

I don't know what you're talking about what project fi is awesome and they only charge $10 per gigabyte used of data up to 6 GB and then after that you'll have unlimited data access without being charged anymore so the max you will ever pay per month is $80 and that's only if you use 6gb of data. You'll also receive normal LTE coverage up to 15 GB in a month after which time your speed will be throttled but they offer an option two then continue paying$10 per gigabyte for normal LTE speeds should you need them I pay on average about $30 a month for cell phone coverage and I've had this for about 2 years now I was with T-Mobile for 12 years and they were an awesome carrier but you can't project fi. And then they also offer data only Sims up 10 per line which can be used in any GSM based device whether it's a hotspot iPad or Android tablet or some other phone that you might have an any day too used on any of the 10 devices you might have is all counted as if it was coming off your regular phone so you don't have to pay any crazy extra amount of money to have tethering. In terms of their pricing structure and what they offer there is not a cell phone company in the United States that has a better rate then project fi and then when you take into account the fact that even if you don't use one of their supported phones you'll essentially beginning T-Mobile service which has the best overall speeds of any other dating network in the country I mean it's a no-brainer here.

Actually mines just been upgraded, I now get 20GB for the same price.
Also bare in mind that the speed and coverage I get is second to none.
My max ever 4G down speed is over 240Mb
With an average of over 100Mb
Plus the customer service is the best there is, trust me I've tried them all.
Do you get anything close to that? Hows the customer service with your provider?
In France you can have everything unlimited for 1€/month ... ^^
