Recently bought s4 and soon realized it's not working as it should... I live in UK and can't update phone(something like no update available try again in 24h) and 4G is not working either. Is there any workaround to update it to lollipop and enable 4G? I've never rooted or modified phones so I would like to know is it worth trying or just bury it next to the rest dead samsungs. ( would like to use it as a remote for TV but seems that IR blaster is gone aswell )

Hi,
I bought an the Galaxy s4 model SGH-M919V of ebay so I can use it here in Canada for the wind mobile network. The phone works well with the network and everything. The SGH-M919V model I have is actually a NEXTEL phone.
When I do a software update for my phone it tells me "the latest updates have already been installed" but I am rocking andriod version 4.3 while kitkat is out as well as other software versions.
My question is, am I supposed to wait for WIND to release their new updated version for the s4 since I am using their network or wait for NEXTEL since it is their phone?
Please mind I am new to this whole andriod stuff and this is my first andriod phone.

I've been looking around this forum for more informations but was not able to find the exact answer, so here i am.
I'am using Galaxy S4 I9505 LTE ROOT, Honk Kong release:
Kitkat 4.4.2

My issue is unstable mobile network.
Sometimes working well, then unable to find any network for a day or fast reconnect using the connexion pannel.
I've been looking for threads about modem issues and i've found plenty of version but no one for this model in china (it's not sell in china) , it seems that i have the latest one for HongKong.
Is it possible to install another modem on my phone and do you have any idea which one is better for China mobile network and will also be able to work In the rest of the world.
I also need this version not to break my wifi or my sound cause i heard it might be possible with some realease.

My phone was working like normal for 2 week and the no network found came back yesterday.
It found nothing with mobile network search, same for automatic register on the mobile network ...
Iit's very boring cause i'am actually looking for a job, mean nobody can contact me by phone ...

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, which is AT&T branded called i337 which is running 4.4.4 (i337UCUFNJ4)
I have bought it in a used mobile shop here in Pakistan and have tried it with many prepaid SIMs like ufone, Jazz, Zong and Telenor
All SIMs are working fine and don't ask for any SIM authorisation or something like my Verizon i545 used to ask for and gave my SIM
verification error all the time and a Question ? mark was always on the top of my screen.
So what i want now is to install Lollipop on my device as every ROM enthusiast may want.
I know the lollipop has not been made available for my device till now but i have read here;

and i know that i9505 and i337 are very very same in the hardware build so i think it is right to say that we can install i9505's firmware on it.

sm-g975u unlocked att phone wanting to change to tmobile. I have a tmobile sim and had originally plugged this in. The phone works fine but I recently noticed it has no Ota updates occurring. I would like to load tmobile firmware on it to enable some of the tmobile features as well but primary concern is ota updates.

Csc *#272imei#(may have that wrong) but is recognized and does work not sure when and what to use here, many options.
Also, not sure of the answer here, but if I run an update or csc change (the phone is unlocked) would it require me to unlock it again for any reason?
I am trying to get the phone close to a tmobile if that is possible

Since you have a t mobile SIM card, now all you need is the patched version of Odin, the latest t mobile firmware from sam firm, and maybe (not sure) Samsung switch. You might also need drivers for your PC to recognize your phone. This was done using Samsung Kies back in the S3 and S4 days, not sure if it or some other program is needed for the S10.
Sorry new to this which patched version of Odin? Like what number?

Hi, so I got an AT&T Galaxy S10+ (SM-G975U) from the US and it was stuck at Android 10. I can't get any updates so I tried to flash a new firmware into my phone. The problem is, SamMobile doesn't provide AT&T firmwares for SM-G975U but other carriers like T-Mobile and Verizon is available. Can I use firmwares from other carriers for my AT&T phone?

I need help i own a S10 plus model SM-G975U AT&T variant, it runs android 10 with UI ver 2.5 I cant update the phone through its update options located in settings. I see new Android 12 Update have been released i want to update my phone can someone please tellme what CSC to use ? I would advise anyone looking to update not to update beyond Android 11. Android 12 has issues and not just on Samsung devices. You can download Android 11 for all US Variants here.
