where to buy Note 3 developer edition

I'm loosing my mind how do i purchase this phone people seem to have it but Samsung says I have to go through Verizon and Verizon says they never heard of it go through samsung HELP

That's where I go and it says back ordered so I call Samsung and they give some bs that I can only purchase the unit from Verizon only. Very irritating

In spite of what the poorly trained Samsung employees tell you, only Samsung sells the DE. And they are almost always backordered. And they are not subsidized, so retail is $699, plus shipping and sales tax. Works out to $750 total. If you keep an eye out on eBay and swappa.com, you will see used ones occasionally.

The only real difference in the DE version is the bootloader is unlocked so not restricted as the normal Verizon phones. Which I don't really understand why they block the bootloader these days to begin with.

S6+ Now Rooted

Today i checked by (OneClickRoot) to see if they rooted the new S6+ or Not, and found that my device can be Rooted, but i am afraid to try, did anyone try this

I wouldn't be surprised if it works, but it will most likely trip knox, which will disable your ability to use Samsung pay... I just switched to the + from the regular S6 edge and I went months without rooting so that I can try out Samsung pay. And since it's coming out this Friday, I'm definitely going to hold off until then

nice ! good info

From what I read online the ATT version will not boot at all after root and it is the "A" version of that model number. It doesn't come up as supported yet. I feel confident someone will figure this out though.

What is coming out this Friday?

If it's only Samsung Pay that you lose who cares. I'd do that in a heartbeat but if it won't boot up, well...

i will just wait then until Friday and Root after its been tested and everything is fine

adguard is great and now i have no reason to Root you can kill ad's with adguard and don't get me wrong I want root to get rid of all the pre-installed crap l

Good to hear but I thought Adguard was only a browser extension. How does it work within Android? Or is it a simple apk download from somewhere?

Yes I've been using it and it seems as effective as using Ad Away.
Only thing I'm not a fan of is that pesky key icon in the upper right in the notification bar. Any way of getting rid of it for good? I tried the usual of going in app properties and unchecking notifications and the app itself has this setting in its own menu (which gets rid of one of the two icons) but the key remains.
It's like after nuking the mothership in ID4, when the scope clears up, the target remains! :laugh:

im already use becuz im korean. samsung pay is very useful. There is no place impossible to payment.
and simple to open just swipe even screen off

Looks like I won't be able to use this I'd rather have root over this one feature. Hopefully there's a way around this.

I've been accepted into the beta program. Sadly since i tripped knox, it won't work for me. Guess I'll test my luck to see if I can exchange my phone.

Surprised this beta isn't happening in the UK since almost all our pay terminal support nfc

I signed up for the beta the day it was announced, and I still haven't been accepted. Is there any trick or loophole to get Samsung Pay working for me? Not rooted btw.

No trick or loop hole. Phone needs to be updated for Samsung pay support for the framework and app to fully function.

Samsung Pay promotion - free wireless charger or case

So Samsung Pay just updated and if you click on 'more' it gives you a code to use in the Samsung store. I just ordered the $50 wireless charger for free. I like that deal

I'm not even seeing the app on my phone. It's not coming up in the Play store or Galaxy store. is there another way?

What about us Beta testers?

None of my cards work. So I can't use the promotion. It says that the promotion ends October 11 2015. I hope my bank gets supported by then, I would love to take advantage of that promo.

have you been having issues? my Choetech Fast Wireless has been working awesome. half the price of the Sammy.
my brother told me before he'd been having issues with his standard qi charger from Sammy. he wants to pick up a 3-coil charger.
edit: my brother couldn't get the offer on his Sprint version as none of his cards are supported at this time.

Ya i only have the charger that was given free with my note 5. Stupid it doesnt work with it. The same charger worked fine on my regular s6. It would charge it just fine.
I tried 4 cards and none of them were supported. I also got sprint. That blows :banghead:. Hopefully they update some more before the 11th of october when the promotion ends

Backorder says allow 4 weeks to get in stock. Pretty lame if you ask me. When it expires in two weeks. I am going to see if I can contact Samsung somehow and get my order in that way.

For what it's worth, was able to order the charger using the link in the app on the phone, going straight to the website I was apparently looking at the wrong charger, missed that it's a regular not a fast charger. Says it's a preorder, should ship in 10 to 14 days. Pretty cool deal as I was trying to come up with the money anyway.

Upon first opening app it will say that it's on backorder,but return to it and it should send you to a different link with the only 3 accessories you can choose from.

Now that the Note 7 has launched, have all Devs given up working on the S7/S7E? Or is it just that we're at a standstill with no progress because its impossible?

The locked bootloader killed this phone. When I got it, I convinced myself that I no longer needed custom roms...I was wrong! My enthusiasm for this phone has died, something that didn't happen with the LG G3 it replaced right up to the moment I handed it to my son. The S7E is fine, but I regret its purchase every day. I probably should move on now, but I'm not sure which direction to take. I'm certainly done with Samsung and most likely Sprint. If I wanted boring, I could have joined the zombie herd and bought an iPhone.

Get the new Nexus when it cones out! This is why I have 2 phones - one Samsung flagship for the most cutting edge hardware and a Nexus for fast updates and tinkering.

Yea i feel u guys, I bought a nexus 6p and I love it. I still have my S7 edge but haven't touched it for about a month straight so I may as well sell it on Craigslist.

Are there no ROMS or development on the sprint gs7 edge?

Won't work on Sprint. A couple guys got it to work by flashing tmobile firmware via Odin only to discover that they can't roll back to Sprint firmware nor downgrade tmobile

Not only did Samsung shoot themselves in the foot with the explosive note 7's but the s7 edge is amazing hardware crippled by a locked bootloader and no dev support. Samsung phones are more and more tougher to crack. While I'll never in life use an iPhone again, I'm hoping the new Nexus at least supports sprints ****ty Network and or maybe sprint will carry it.

You can still root and modify. I have my phone pretty much like I want it. The only thing that I'm really missing is 3minit battery. You have to be deodexed in order for it to work

From what I've read, thay may be cancelling the Nexus phones this year for something completely different...
