As a start, sorry for my poor english
Planning a short visit to Usa like 3 days and want to buy a Moto X Pure.
I dont have any chance to buy Moto X Style from Europe.
When i compare them, i see small differences for 3g/4g bands.
Question is, can i use Pure edition globally especially in Turkey?
You need to check what band your carriers use there in Turkey and compare them with what the Pure Edition runs on.
We have 3 carrier here and all i can learn about;
All carriers are using GSM.
For 2g carrier 1 / 2 / 3 : 900Mhz / 900Mhz / 1800Mhz.
For 3g all of them uses 2100Mhz.
4g will be avaible in 3-4 month and its gonna be LTE-A and will be either 800Mhz or 2600Mhz.

Heya all,
anyone know if some GSM Europe version of this phone will be release in near future?
I know there comes some other models, under diferent name, but not sure if EU
All infos are welcome here.
Cheers
Yeah, it will make for an interesting dilemma for me if we ever get the Droid Turbo or Galaxy Note Edge in the UK..
Bands that Turbo support are: Networks and Bands
CDMA/EVDO Rev A (850, 1900MHz)
LTE Cat 4 (bands 2, 3, 4, 7, 13)
Carrier Aggregation (B4+13)
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ (850, 900, 1900, 2100MHz)
2G and 3G should work in Europe, but what about 4G?

Oh man, I'm so jealous. I'm literally on myUS.com right now trying to decide if the shipping import cost is worth it.
You aren't getting the Play or Pure. I heard Ceh'neh'deh' is getting the Moto X Po-tato edition. Comes with free hand warmers and maple syrup.

It's so weird too, the Style is available in other Commonwealth nations. I don't see why Moto hates Canada so much.

The mobile industry hates you. Three year contracts? WTF?
There are no 3 year contracts here anymore, thankfully. There haven't been for a while.

yes works with videotron no problem so far after 2 weeks
T-Mobile's site states "To work in this country you need a device that has frequencies of 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, Band I (2100)." When I look up the specs on the Motorola site it states: GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); UMTS/HSPA+ (850, 900, 1700 (AWS),1900, 2100 MHz); CDMA (800, 850, 1900 MHz); 4G LTE† (B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 41).
It appears to me that I should have no problems using my (XT1575 - US) phone in Germany when I travel there...? Anyone have any actual experience taking the US version over there?
Thanks in advance!

Hopefully T-Mobile works well in their home country of Germany. It's not so good in Japan, where NTT Docomo and Softbank take turns kicking you off their network like an unwanted guest.
I just bought Moto G5 Plus and I'm about to leave for USA after 3-4 months. I'd like to know if the phone purchased in India will support 4G in the US or not?
The bands listed on Flipkart's site are -
GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz; UMTS: 850, 900, 2100 MHz; 4G LTE (B1, B3, B5, B8, B40)
The U.S variant of Moto G5 Plus (XT1687) supports these 4G LTE bands -
B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 38, 41, 66
And Indian variant supports -
B1, 3, 5, 8, 40
So B 1, 3, 5 are common for both. You may get 4G for carriers using those bands.
It depends on the carrier and how widely they use those bands.
I'm comparing two different models of the S10. The T-mobile carrier model vs the Factory Unlocked model. Found this link for a direct comparison.
https://www.techwalls.com/samsung-galaxy-s10-model-number-sm-g973-differences/
If you compare the two under band support, you get some really confusing numbers and abbreviations which I will list off below.
S10 Factory unlocked band support;
===============
2G GSM: GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900
2G CDMA: CDMA800, USPCS1900
3G CDMA: CDMA2000, EV-DO: 800, 1900 MHz
GSM 3G/3.5G: UMTS, HSPA+: 850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz
4G LTE: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 46, 66, 71 Bands
=======================
S10 T-Mobile Carrier version:
======================
2G GSM: GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900
3G UMTS: B1(2100), B2(1900), B4(1700/2100 AWS1), B5(850)
3G TD-SCDMA: B34(2010), B39(1880)
4G FDD LTE: B2(1900), B4(AWS), B5(850), B12(700), B66(AWS-3), B71(600MHz)
4G TDD LTE: B46(5200)
=======================
As you can see, there are some terms or numbers missing from one model that are on the other, and vice versa.
Can someone please walk me through what all this means and what the differences are? I want to be able to use Tmobile on the unlocked model without losing any band support or network coverage/quality.
Thank you!
alos curious
I am also curious about network support on various types of same model.
EX: Redmi K20 and MI9T are the same phones, the only difference is supported networks.
K20 doesn't have B20 network for example.
I don't understand why, since both devices have SD730 processor which has x15 Modem inside.
Does this mean that some networks are disabled by software?
Would kindly appreciate the answer...
