Hi guys,
I'm using an Htc m9 since April (I've an m7) before. I love the sense interface, but I want to try something new.
In your opinion is worth to buy a oneplus two?

This was posted 5 days ago, in case you haven't found your answer... I'll reply.
I Had the M9 from June through September, had the M8 for a 16 months before that and the M7 a year before that.....In September I got the Moto X Pure, then got my invite for the OnePlus2..... I went ahead and ordered the OP2 to see what the hype was about. I've since returned my Moto X Pure for a few issues, but mostly because I pre-ordered the new Nexus 6P. I've been using the OP2 for the last few days and have another 4-6 weeks with.
Now that I've said all that..... To my point:
I love the OnePlus2, it's probably the fastest and smoothest of the bunch and I really like the off-screen buttons (like Samsung)........But, I absolutely HATE the sounds coming from the speaker. I think all the stereo, front-facing phones I had the last 3 years have ruined me? The sound on the OP2 is thin and shrill and if you hold it wrong, you cover the speaker. Now, when I watch a video or movie, or listen to music in a loud place, I have to cup my hand around the speaker to reflect the sound up towards me. I feel like an iPhone user
But the rest of the phone I really love.... I do miss the Sense Camera, but there are some good camera's out there and the stock camera and Google camera are pretty good alternatives.
If it had dual front facing speakers, or even a good set of bottom firing stereo speakers I wouldn't have even looked at the Nexus 6P, but I really like front speakers (If you couldn't tell).

I have HTC One M8 now.
I'm planning to sell it and buy G3/iPhone 5s.
Worth it or not?
Thanks Guys
Not worth it in my opinion. The feel and finish of the G3 is nowhere near the M8. Also, 5,5 inches is a bit too much for me. Not exactly comfortable to hold (and I don't have small hands). The UI felt sluggish and slow at times when I tested it (the 2/16GB version, perhaps the 3/32 is better in that aspect). The screen is nice, but I still prefer the M8. Crisper, more lively, better contrast. The G3 has too many pixels to move around, considering it hasn't got any snappier hardware than the M8. I wouldn't trade it in for the G3, and definitely not for an iPhone 5s. Let the M8 grow on you. You won't regret it.
The 2k screen of the g3 seems to be the major advantage over m8, but that comes with a cost. The speed of g3 simply won't be able to match m8 due to the gpu power wasted on 2k screen res. The material on the g3 is just plastic. The software support from LG is poor compared to HTC today, HTC promises Android L update for m7 and m8 within 3 months time. The stereo speakers on the m8 are unmatched by any other smartphone.
And, 5s??? Really?

Does 1440p really make that much of a difference as compared to the m8's 1080p (speed wise)?

Not 3 months from now, 3 months from the official L release. Which won't be til late fall. And the G3 will be a great device. You can't go wrong with M8 or G3. Not sure I'd sell my M8 for g3 tho. And 5s shouldn't even be in that equation lol.
Sorry gents, I'm gonna have to close this.

Hi everybody, thanks for reading , Sooo I am an LG G5 owner right now(the 4gb ram and SD820 version and having the phone around 7 months already), Im thinking to change to a Nexus 6p, LG G5 is not a bad phone actually, I like the two rear cameras from the back, Even that I dont use much the 8MP one(only for a big selfie group sometimes), the selfie camera is good for me actually, So Im thinking of sell my device and buy an Nexus 6p, the principal reasons for a phone to me are: battery life, screen(5.5 to 5.7) and body ratio, selfie cam which I use more than the rear one  . I never had a Nexus before, I was always like to test a Nexus for the experience of pure Android and faster updates or improvements, So what you think? Its a good choice to move from LG G5 to a Nexus 6p? Should I wait to the Pixel(that its going to be expensive in my country El Salvador :crying: ) or HTC Bolt(that I started to like) to arrive my country? Would you suggest another phone?
I would put some reasons for what I have seen against/for both phones for what I have seen
LG G5:
Pros:
Had 2 rear cameras, both have a really good resolution and the 8MP one is almost like a GoPro, which is cool
Had a good selfie cam
SD 820 and 4GB RAM do the job
Feels good in one hand
Speaker is pretty good
Cons:
Its value could be at $250-$300 to the end of the year or the next(in my country El Salvador), really underpriced
Not root, but Nougat is coming
Kind of ugly, even that I had a Dbrand Skin on it, doesnt feel/see premium
Bad batterly life when heavy use
For what I had seen on videos, this are the reasons I would take or not the Nexus:
Pros:
Really good camera, I think that is a beast in low light photos, even that only have 1 and not 2 cameras
A better selfie cam that the G5(which I use a lot)
Its value does not drop to much(around $350 the 32GB version actually in my country)
Amazing battery life
Fast updates (until mid of 2017)
Design
Double Speaker
Cons:
SD 810 and 3GB RAM(Its not bad but is getting old )
Its a 2015 device
Could be bigger(not the screen size, the phone)
Now we have the new gen of Nexus,Pixel
Only one cam against 2 of LG G5 or others 2016/2017 flagships
What do you think? Thanks for your help
I am seeking new phone....
HTC 10 , LG G5 & V20 , S7 & S7 Edge , Xperia XZ
Mate 9 , Mi Note 2 , Axon 7 , etc.
but I think I will stay with my angler for a while.:laugh::laugh:
(May be I would buy 2nd hand Pixel XL next year.)
I'm a Nexus 6p owner, the battery life isn't as amazing as you describe, and the front camera is good but nothing special, if you choose it you shouldn't do it for these reasons but for instantly updates and modding

I came from a lg v10 even tho they say all this ram and processor on the lg v10 it couldn't keep up like the Nexus 6p does.
Nexus 6p
Just bought my nexus 6p yesterday, at least I felt that camera, screen and in hand-feel sensation are better than the G5, also the speaker but it was really good on the G5 too, I hadnt tested battery life yet but only with having Nougat i feel the difference and Im very happy with him

Matters what good is. With lots of modding and sacraficing performance, I can get 4:30h. If you just use stock, you will be lucky getting 3h
I run stock rooted 7.1.1 use my phone a lot and get 5hrs + SOT so battery is great for me. It's all about the user and what apps they use how the brightness is set etc...My point is that some will say it's bad and others will say it's great.

My v10 is almost dead and thinking about buying this on the cheap. Couple of questions for current owners:
1. Is the camera really that terrible?
2. How is the dev support for this phone? Dev section looks 100x better than V10's lol
3. Another choice is Axon 7. Anyone that had that phone before and how it compares?
Any other comments.feedback? Thanks, everyone.
Camera is on par with the likes of Nexus 5X, S6 or iPhone 7 if you use Google Camera App.
Dev support is excellent and progressing.
If you care about built-in audio, 3.5mm port and screen resolution, Axon 7 is better otherwise Le Pro 3 is better in any department.
I think I saw somewhere Le Pro 3 goes down to $250 again so grab it while you can!

Thanks! I really don't care for the headphone jack. Never listen to music on my phone. Not sure how I feel about the resolution, since V10 has the same res as A7. Haven't had a HD screen phone in a minute.
How are the speakers on this phone, btw?

The CDLA earphone of Le Pro 3 is excellent, sound is as good as expensive audio system. =D
As for the built-in speakers, check this out

If you can get it for under 300 dlls go for it. Stock rom has amazing battery life, but there are also good stock based roms and nougat with great support and development
It's on sale now for$250. I saw on eBay

Picked one up off swappa for 180. We'll see how it is Thanks, everyone.
I believe you'll be satisfied. Speakers are great, dev support even better, its easily unlockable, easy to avoid bricking if youre just a lil careful. I've been using mine since december, bought it from aliex right when it came out (6/64gb version), and couldnt be more happy with my choice, I came from a nexus 5, am addicted to tinkering and modding the sw, and its great!
Hi, I have been using my OPO for almost 3 years now. And currently I am looking forward to switch to other device. My OPO really served me well, but seeing all this type C, dual camera gimmick makes my OPO looks old and not to mention the battery is aging. So I need some opinion from you guys. Is there any severe issue (or manufacturing issue) with this phone?
to me type c, dual camera gimmick isn't worth the upgrade. Also mi a1 does have its limitations like no nfc, mid range cpu and surprisingly no direct boot support. Prices in India does prove mi a1 a good choice given its expected to receive updates upto android P. If I haven't messed up my nexus 4 touchscreen (also no lte ) i would have waited for oreo based devices.
Given one plus one custom rom support i would recommend to wait for some time.
I'm coming from a Oneplus 3 and i'm going to switch to the Xiaomi mi a1. Or u wait a bit and buy this one: http://www.gizchina.com/2017/10/19/xiaomi-redmi-note-5-redmi-5-plus-might-hit-markets-november-11/

OPO3 to A1 is definitely a downgrade thou. Because now OP5 is pretty much at premium price which I can't afford anymore so I am looking at the A1. But after some quick searches, there is some problem with the display and headphone jack hissing problem right?
the hissing problem isnt tht bad mate you only hear when the sound stops for a second but the multitouch sensitivity is the worst issue for me

It depends on what screen u have as there are 2 different panels used. For the headphone problem, IDK
I have no hissing problem and the touch screen issues are only mild
I was in the same boat few days back. And I made the switch from Oneplus one to Mi A1. I would say I'm pretty happy with my decision. OPO battery was dying and I was tried to manually flashing updates every now and then. Mi A1 is working as it should and I am satisfied with it. Portrait mode in day light is a big plus and a reason to get A1.

I see, then do you face those 2 problem described? Headset hissing sound display lag? Try with a small headsets, no headphone those big one.

Honestly, I don't get any display issues. Probably because I don't play games which requires multitouch.
About hissing sound, I don't get it on apple earphones.
With boAt 225 bassheads I get it but only when I get a notification while listening to music, not otherwise. So it's not a deal breaker for me.
Also switched from OPO and it is totally worth it!
It is better in any way. Screen, camera, battery life, sound quality and responsiveness.
I didn't realize how much the OPO was struggling to run Nougat until now.
I switched last week from 1+1(LineageOS) to A1. It seems as fast as 1+1 on daily use. Battery is awesome. Camera is pretty much the same, i'm not sure which is better. And finally all small bugs from lineageos are gone.
Hello,
is it worth to buy G6 in late 2019?
the specs okay for me but I am worried about updates. it's still running older android 8.
how stable are custom ROMs and chances of getting pure android 9 or lineage os ?
also, what are the other things like/dislike about this phone?
Love everything about it!!
Matt

I had one and just upgraded to a Galaxy S9. The LG G6 is a great phone. Don't get too hung up on whether or not Pie will arrive as Oreo is a totally adequate operating system.
LG have improved the flow of security updates, mines currently on April 2019 and we might get Pie - but I'm not holding my breath.
I was thinking of upgrading but the closest I could find for sensible cost was the pixel 3a, so have decided to stick and just replaced the battery.
Main issue I have with the G6 is the cameras, which are average at best and often disappointing due to the over processing of images.
Skip the g6 and go for v35thinq.

Why are you not using the GCam? There's fully working normal and wide can support and million times better over the stock cam?
I loved my G6 but now over 2 years old I found it lackluster and just kinda slow. Upgraded to one plus 7 pro and OMG what a world of difference. Mostly not cause one plus but mostly cause the snapdragon 855 of course.

I've got GCam, the images are sharper but still doesn't come close to other flagship phones of the same era - LG were just really cheap with the rear cameras and it shows.

I'm not sure about that my G6 again 2+ years old for sure beats the gs8 as far as point and shoot goes for sure. But yes the G6 is the last LG phone I'll ever buy sadly as I like to be different and stay away from Samsung. Luckily one plus 7 pro works perfectly on Verizon

After the camera update in spring I started to take more pictures with the G6 than with the P20 Pro (my other phone). So I think the camera is the best thing about this phone now. And the quad dac if you have it.
