[Q/ASK] Tweak for Lollipop G530H XXU Basebands - Galaxy Grand Prime Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So, I'v tried Nitro X and L Speed. Both worked so well on Kitkat. It also worked well on Lollipop, especially the battery mod which is the mod we need for our Lollipop battery drain problem. But, unlike Kitkat, when I installed either Nitro X or L Speed, Lollipop gave me this kind of problem. My device restarts randomly especially when it's not in use. Please if anyone know how to fix it or simply tell me which mod will work for this device. I've been using greenify but it's not really helping I don't know why. Both of Nitro X and L Speed are the real deal, if only the random restart problem doesn't exist.

[Q] Lollipop Update has slowed down phone performance, Games Lagging, Overheating

Hi,
This may sound repetitive but I think it is important for me to put this issue up.
Ever since I upgraded my Yureka to Lollipop, my phone seems to have lost a major chunk of it's performing speed. Low performance level games like Subway Surfer, Temple Run 2 etc. which used to run flawlessly before the upgrade now are all laggy and heat the phone up like crazy. My phone used to heat up only after playing games like Asphalt 8 before the upgrade, but even then the game never lagged. Now all games heat the phone up and lag after a minute or so of playing. The phone heats up even on stand by. I don't want to get back to CM11 but I am starting to think I don't have a choice.
Is there anything at all that you people can suggest for this? I'm desperately looking for a fix. I have not rooted the phone, ever. Suggest if anything can be done without rooting the device.
There are some major issues with stock CM12... U got to deal with it or have the choice to downgrade to KK But my suggestion would be to root the device & install Resurrection Remix Rom which is 5.1.1 & it seems to have ignorable bugs... U can try performance oriented kernel to get the max perfomance & there are a handful out there which are 5.1.1 compatable...
(Rooting doesn't void ur warranty, then why u prefer not to root? )
Just looking for options without having to root

Thanks for your reply, actually I wanted a permanent fix to this issue and if possible without the root, it would have been better. Is there no other possibility?
Well this is permanent fix. I am also using Resurrection rom with Sandy's kernel and everything is fine. No lags, no overheating, and charging time has also reduced.
Want to install Resurrection ROM

Someone having the same issue?
I have a d802 europe G2 16GB.
I installed quadrant and in kitkat i had about 21 a 23000 score.
But with lollipop stock i have about 9000 score.
Is it a issue with lollipop or could xposed alpha for 5.02 be the problem?
I Really like xpossed and even with alpha dont wanna mis it.
Maybe someone knows the issue before i uninstall it?
Greetings ,
Tim

Hello.
I don´t use that benchmark apk , but at least on antutu the score is higher.
But, when antutu doesn´t updated his version correctly to lollipop, the scores were less than the real.
Maybe that apk is outdated.
But, in my experience, lollipop works well (in terms of zero lag ) better than kk , even with xposed.
Off course if you have too many xposed modules it can create some bugs , and a low system performance , but it depends of wich modules are working together.
Hi
I installed antutu and with 78 procent its stops crashing and then i got a 24780 score.
When you look at the scores 3D got zero. And its crashing on 3D test.
I gonna uninstall xpossed now and i let you know how the score is then.
Maybe my stock rom got problems after the update. 5.02?
I test it tonight.
Thx for your reply.
Regards Tim
Hi
I uninstalled xpossed and now i have no problems with the test.
I have a total score of 42573.
So the problem at least for me is xpossed.
So i wait and hope theres gonna be a stable version of it.
Thx for your time.

Hi,
xposed is still have few bugs on lollipop. Battery drain and perfomance drop is only two of them.
I don't know what is the problem wirh your phone, but on my d802 it's actually better than stock KK.
On kk i got 38-39000, on lp 41-43000, stock and unrooted.

A5_UL Eu single sim (and any compatible variants) Working ROM thread

Hi all.
I'm using CM12.1 5.1.1 from 20150429. Grarak unofficial ROM.
Any Cm12.1 based ROM newer than this has bugs making my phone unusable.
-long time detecting sim card, and long time getting a cellular connection once sim detected
-SMS not sending or receiving
-no calls incoming
Which basically make it a mini tablet ...
So far I've tried a pacman 5.0.3 ROM but found it sluggish.
Does anyone with this same model of phone have a workaround or a suggestion of a stable working 5.1 ROM?
Has anyone tried updating RUU with either success or failures to report?
I'm at a loss here and its a shame, this phone is good value for money and was working well up to this last cm12.1 build.
I really don't want to go back to 5.0, and I'm not sure any sense/stock ROM is better? Can you share positive experience on this matter?
Thanks to all devs who give their time to allow us to use and own our phones. I am grateful and in no way taking any of this for granted.
Without you we'd all have locked phones and no freedom.
And peace to all, above and beyond ALL the rest!
Stock with xposed & some mods like Nitro X spark works fine for me, as there is no good ROM for our phone .. the bugs makes the phone unusable with custom roms :/
And you don't have issues with disk space etc? Stock 5.0, 5.1 or 4.4 ?

the process is easy just time consuming... i can help if you want.
ive tried cm12.1 best rom was blisspop... only bug i found was like when i sent a whats app voice message.. and when i play it, the message i sent . it sounds like hissing and volumen kind of starts high then low... no sure if this is fixed as i only tried for a few days... and you should know that camera quality its not the same as stock rom....
what keeps me on stock is camera.. you have 120fp slow motion and 4k . and better quality on pics especially if you use xcam.. using dorimanx kernel.. sound is great..

Custom Kitkat ROM with empasis on battery life?

The only S5 Kitkat ROMs I've found either haven't been updated in over a year, or many users are reporting severe bugs like no camera support, or severe battery drain issues.
I'm just trying to get an app called Winulator running so I can play Starcraft: Broodwar on android, but it isn't working and one user said that is because Lolipop broke it (I'm on 5.1.1 atm). The app is no longer supported so I don't think it will ever run properly on 5.x. If anyone knows of a way to emulate 4.x for just 1 app maybe that would be the best shortcut for me overall here.
Barring that, could someone please recommend a guide to installing a lightweight, power-user-oriented ROM that is 4.x or older and has excellent battery life? I was going to try the official 4.4.4 VanirAOSP release but there are too many reports of poor battery performance in the last 2 pages of that thread for my liking.
I think the first thing I need to do is unlock the bootloader, and I've yet to find a definite answer on the best method of doing this from FOL1 (12/15). It seems I will need Odin on my PC and I have it. I've also started backing up all the data from my phone by manually copying/pasting to my PC.
I guess once everything is finally backed up (it's taking FOREVER, explorer literally been calculating time to copy for 10 minutes now just on the phone/android folder), then I will try and flash the official 4.4.2 VanirAOSP ROM since that one doesn't have any reports of battery issues and possibly only the camera and a few things won't work.
BTW, is there a step specially to unlock the FOL1 bootloader that I am missing, or can I just flash that ROM with Odin straight up? I found a comment stating NOT to flash 5.1.1 with Odin or I'd be stuck on Lollipop until some new bootloader-unlock method comes out. The 5.1.1 I'm running wasn't flashed with odin it was sent OTA and I've never rooted or had custom rom/bootloader, so I should be good on that I guess?
I am actually about to dive into this, if no one has any suggestions for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2752995
So I'll just pick one at random then? Thanks for the help...
You haven't even listed your model S5 or the ROM it's running now
And of course KK hasn't been updated in over a year, Lollipop and Marshmallow are released, they're not going to keep updating KK when a newer version of Android is released
