I know there is no setting on Oxygen to disable the Quick Pulldown, and its driving me absolutely insane. I am constantly pulling it down because I use my phone one handed a lot, and use my thumb to pull down the notification shade which is on the right side of the screen!
There is a setting in GravityBox that allows you to disable it, but it only works on stock android and CM variants. It does not work on Oxygen. Has anyone found a mod, Xposed module, text file to edit, ANYTHING, that will allow the disabling of this major annoyance?
So happy to see this question, then saw there was no reply
This does my head in also!
Hi,
I have the same issue also my little son uses Quick Pulldown in lock mode to access the guest account and delete the photos and other items.:silly:
It annoyed me too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...t/xposed-oneplus-2-oxygenos-specific-t3242085
Someone posted an xposed mod to disable it. Check out development section

Hey guys. So yesterday all of a sudden I just couldn't pull down the notification bar anymore. After factory resetting my phone it still didn't work so I assume the digitizer is broken.
Now I don't really have money to replace it and I don't want to break even more of my phone so I'm looking for an alternative way to pull down the notification bar which should be working system-wide (maybe through a softkey press or gesture?)
I'm running the latest AOSPA 4.6 Beta 2 if that's of any relevance.
I would be really thankful if someone could help me as it's really annoying to not being able to pull the notifications down.

first, try flashing factory images then test.. if it still doesn't work, its the digitizer.
use a launcher that has a shortcut to pulldown the statusbar, or add a button on the navbar to do it (xposed and some ROMs like slimkat can do that)

I've already tried that, doesn't seem to work for me. The notification bar can be pulled down when in landscape mode. However if the navigation bar is at the notification bars usual spot, it won't work either. So I'm pretty sure it's the digitizer.
I need a system-wide solution so the launcher isn't an option as it would only work on the homescreen. I already looked into xposed modules but I can't seem to find one which allows me to set a button for notification pull-downs.

GravityBox module has navbar customization and if i remember right it has a button (or a tap and hold action) that pulls it down. check that module.
Thanks a lot! That did the trick. I was using Xblast previously and it didn't have such an option. Works just fine in GravityBox! It'll take a while to get used to it but you just made my day.

So I recently installed rooted Lollipop 5.0 BOC4 on my Verizon S5 and I previously had several mods installed but I can't remember them all (definitely had Xposed, Wanam, and a couple one-off zips like tether, one that customized the quick settings/toggles) and I'm still getting my phone setup the way I want it to work. But there are a few things I still haven't been able to find/accomplish yet on this version of Android and I was hoping the forum would be able to help me out.
Even if the answer is "you can't do that yet" or "need to wait for Xposed", please let me know so I can stop wasting my time looking for workarounds/fixes/mods. So here's what I want to be able to do:
Quickly disable/enable the lock screen without having to go into the Settings > Lock Screen. I'd prefer a quick toggle.
Disable pop-up/heads up style notifications (and revert to the old 4.4 style notifications). Specifically for texts. What apps besides Textra allow for these to be disabled?
Have the volume buttons control the sounds/volume only and not the interruptions (similar to CM 12.1 for those that are familiar).
Flashlight mod.
Any other interesting mods that are working on rooted BOC4 that you think may be of interest.
And probably the most important...
Is there any SMS app out currently that allows you to both 1) Disable the heads up style pop-up notifications on Lollipop and ALSO 2) reply/mark read/delete from the notification.
Regarding the last bullet, I've found a few SMS apps that do one or the other but not both. For example, ChompSMS and Textra allow you to disable the heads up style pop-up notification and just gives the small icon in the nav bar, but you can't reply from the notification. And Evolve SMS and QKSMS allows you to reply from notification bar, but not disable the heads up notification.
Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
Good day to ya'all
I would like to hide my status bar within every app (Specifically the browser),yeah i heard a lot about immersive mode, but what it does it also disables the soft keys and keyboard. Which disrupts my workflow. I am currently running Darklord's N5 RC 2.1, and the option to hide the status bar for samsung's internet browser is missing, which is a bit of a downer as my stock lollipop rom had this option, are there any alternatives? I also have a phobia with AMOLED burn ins that is why i would have wanted it to hide the status bar as many times as possible.
Any suggestions?
Hmmm
1. It's forbidden to bump your thread in less than 24 hours.
2. Why not do some searching on your own instead of being impatient and waiting for someone to spoon feed you.
@Dejan Sathanas, ive been looking for a thread, but as stated, I want to know if there are other methods rather than using immersive mode
Hey, try to get xposed for your ROM search a Module named "ImmerseMe". Activate, reboot, enjoy.
Hi! My I am on 5.0 using the stock Samsung TouchWIZ ROM (I heard you can't dial 911 on custom ROMs on this phone so that terrified me) but anyway I have Wanam Xposed installed and it has an option for displaying the date in the status bar along with the time. The time only shows up. Not the date. If I tell Wanam to move the clock to the center, it will do that, which is weird because it has SOME control over the clock but cannot seem to get the date up there?
I also installed GravityBox and surprisingly a lot of features work however, just like Wanam, I can't seem to get the date and/or day of the week to show up in my status bar.
Anyone know what's going on? Thank you!
Not all features work. That's known.

I don't mean to sound dumb but why would it be an option then? I thought the point of Wanam was to make options available that worked with Samsung phones.
I am not complaining. I am just confused as to why the option would be there then. Similarly, some options using GravityBox work just fine that aren't in Wanam, such as adjusting the brightness by swiping across the statusbar and clicking back twice to enable/disable screen rotation.
Hi all,
I'm running the PartCyborgRom-AQK3 ROM, and I have Xposed working. I couldn't find such a post, but I am wondering what modules are working for everyone with an S8? I know a lot of the modules are for AOSP and a lot are not for Nougat.
I tried BootManager, and unless I disabled too many things or something that I shouldn't have, enabling this one causes a bootloop.
Other than that, I currently have Firefds Kit, GravityBox, and XNotifications enabled.
Features I am still looking for are:
Disable High Brightness warning.
Remove Carrier from Statusbar
Remove AM/PM from stausbar clock. I've found this option but it usually adds a 2nd AM/PM.
At some point, I installed something that added "Outdoor Mode" to the Notification Toggles brightness settings. I can't remember what added this, but I'd like it back!
Did you find a solution for carrier label?

status and system ui tuner are no root apps and can do most of what you want
I use firefds for call record button..I just remove the clock from bar totally as I use a weather and clock widget all the time 3d flip clock and such.
