You can NOT flash anything except 4.4.4 or 5.0
Nothing.
No custom ROMs, no Jasmine...no nothing.
No root either...you are stuck with standard Verizon software/firmware

You can always update to the newer but you can't go backwards.

Oh, maybe this is why Odin fails for me? I've been trying to load 4.3 stock but it keeps failing. I looked into the phones info and saw that it is running the newest 4.4.2 (I337MVLUFNC1) but its on a custom Rom. So the only way I can restore stock is to flash the current 4.4.2?
update: Flashed on an actual PC laptop and not my virtual windows running on my mac and it worked on the second attempt! FINALLY..
I Rooted my phone and downloaded TWRP from goo manager and now i'm stuck in Odin Mode. Is there any way to reverse this?

I did the same thing, no recovery whatsoever. Looks like there's no other choice but to reflash the stock firmware again and start all over again. Hopefully get back stock recovery, Cfroot, Philz this time.
I'll report my results.
Like whenever you turn it on it goes straight to Odin mode?

Can you direct me to a good guide on rooting so i do not run into these issues again?
What is the baseband version and your boot loader is locked, correct?

What you have experienced is due to the restrictions put by the locked bootloader. If you check the baseband version in settings->about phone, it would end with MF3 or MK2 or NB1.
The firmware with these version have locked bootloader which prevents us from flashing any custom kernel or recovery.
The way to flash custom roms is using a different kind of recovery called Safestrap
There are some restrictions with Safestrap though. With MF3, you have to use safestrap v3.65 and you can only flash 4.2.2 based roms. You can also flash Goople play edition 4.2.2 roms. With google play edition, your PC will not recognize the phone though.
With MK2, you have to use safestrap v3.71 and you can flash 4.3 based Roms. You cannot flash google play edition 4.3 based roms though. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2616221 has lot of useful information for you.
If you are on NB1, you have to follow Deadly Venom Kitkat Magic Tool to downgrade to MK2 first and then install 4.4.2 based Roms.
If you are on MK2, Deadly Venom Kitkat magic tool has a way to install 4.4.2 (Kitkat) roms.
Hi,
I can't seem to root my new galaxy note 3. I am using an international device with 4.4.2 KitKat. During the cache.img process Odin gives an error and softbricks my device. What am I doing wrong here?
(SM-N9000Q
Baseband: N9000QJVUDNB1)
Thanks
*Edit: Sorry about the typo, it's 4.4.2 not 4.2.2

What rooting method did you use?
Why nobody has time to state relevant info when asking for help
I don't know, maybe the same reason why people have attitude when they clearly offer no help at all.
Anyhow, I did not specify it because I did not know there were several methods. I used Odin and CF-Auto for n900 devices. Is there a more reliable way to root Kitkat devices?

I did exactly that with two different Odin versions. The installation got stuck at "cache.img" and failed both times. I used to have an SIII and I thought I knew my way around android and rooting, but apparently not. I'm completely lost here.

You could flash a custom recovery with Odin and then flash superSU.zip in that recovery, that would get you rooted too Link cwm recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2454079.

Better check the CWM site i gave you before you start flashing if the N900Q is supported, i don`t see that specific model listed in there as it is listed for Turkey only. I see support for the N900S,T,W but not Q!

Hello,
Urgent help required. My note 4 is running Dr. Ketan's rom on Marshmallow. I need to unroot to get a hardware problem fixed, but i've never tried it before. I know I need to use SuperSu but I don't have a boot / recovery image. Can someone please help me. Will be exceedingly grateful.
