Since Moto X Play (2015) is using Android 5.01 , with latest Camera 2 APIs, do we have Manual control over camera (Shutter speed / focus), also would like to know if the default Camera App supports Image capturing in DNG / RAW format.
Let me know

I take a look on the camera code and as i can see there is a huge difference between dzo implementation and usual camera implementation.
In the latest kernel there is the support for another samsung cmos (look in the video part), i think that it could be a good starting point to develup a full support for camera (with autofocus and white balance).

Why can't I watch XBMC videos on my new LG phone? Or control the playback of other devices?
My old LG Escape has a dedicated app button for SmartShare, I hit that and I can see all my devices, including ability to select and play a video directly on my HTPC and control it as well, but I don't see this option in LG G2.

If these are, indeed, samples taken of the camera, it will be very competitive with the best out there:

3rd photos are the final results (right mouse click, view image for larger resolution):
