Sony Xperia tablet Z 5.1.1 root video tutorial (easy) - Xperia Tablet Z General

Hey folks out there... I have made a step by step tutorial video on how to root 5.1.1 of our tab Z... Hope it will help everyone

The vid is good, though firmware version numbers are different for TabZ and if you have 5.0.2 installed with all apps, before installing prerooted 5.1.1 it is not necessary to wipe /data/ from recovery.

METHOD TO ROOT .62 Firmware

Hi Everybody
I saw many posts about don't upgrade to .62 firmware because it's not rootable, but reading and searching in other threads (because I have a little xperience with other Sony and Sony ericsson models), I found this way to upgrade my recently adquired Xperia Play to the .62 firmware and rooted... and I just wanna share the links with you...
YOU NEED:
1. Firmwares (.42 for root and .62 to upgrade) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1589399
2. Flash tool (Very easy to use and many times, just follow the instructions) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351299
3. Root method (This is the most complete and easy tuttorial to root and upgrade) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695514
On that thread they xplain how to upgrade to ICS, but we will use that way to root the .62 Xperia Play firmware.
With this metod, you will have CWM like a gift, to make backups or flash MODs...
SCREENSHOTS BELOW
Thats all I wanna share with you... and of course, thanks to all the developers who made this threads for us.
I think when people say, "its not root able"
They mean that if you haven't rooted before you upgrade then you can't root using .62.
However if you root on a previous version and then upgrade, it'll work.
Always nice to have a guide for new people unaware of I though
When i rooted my play last time i flash 2.3.3 and in settings did an update and i was running rooted on latest software, but if i did it through pc conpanion it wasn't rooted, weird!

How to root SGP312U1/B

Hi! I recently bought myself a Sony Xperia Tablet Z (SGP312U1/B). Any ideas on how to root it?
I have never had a Xperia device before so I'm not familiar with the way of rooting them.
Anyone that could perhaps tell me step by step on how to root it with Supersu or make/link a youtube video that tells me exactly what to do?
It's running android version 4.3 btw. I will highly appreciate the help and so will others.

note 4 rooting problem

Note 4 N-910G Not ROOTING AFTER INSTALLING AUSTRALIA VERSION COJ3 GIVES BOOTLOOP
You have to follow the proper procedure on rooting 5.1.1. Here I successfully rooted my phone running on COJ3.
How u root ur phone

Returning custom KitKat ROM user wanting to go back to near-stock

I cannot quite think of an appropriate topic name for this but I know what I want to ask.
A long time back with my Note 3 I had everything nice and customised, updating my ROM regularly until the creator stopped and I decided to stick. Now I'd like to go back to a vanilla rooted version of Lollipop so that I can grab Xposed too. I'd also like to update the Baseband and add in a custom kernel along the way. I've not heard of Xposed for Marshmallow and Marshmallow is crippling my Shield K1 even with Nvidia's so-called fixes hence sticking with Lollipop.
O2 have offered me an SGS 6 Edge Plus or an Xperia Z5 Premium with "Lollipop, the latest software" for £49pm, no handset cost and £100 to pay off my Note 3 but for those prices, I'll be keeping my Note 3 past my contract end date
I know my way around the commands and the flashing guides but I've been away from the Note 3 forums for some time and I am aware that certain combinations can require specific steps to backtrack. If anyone could put me on the right path as to which big steps to take to avoid bricking then I can fill in the little gaps myself and get to my end goal I would be very grateful.
The below information should be sufficient to provide a base as to where I am to start with.
Current:
Phone: SM-N9005 (UK SGS Note 3)
ROM: KitKat 4.42 - last ever custom KitKat rom by CRASH (v19)
Baseband: N9005DXUGNK1
Kernel: 3.4.105-leankernel-hlte-3.14 (Dec 2014) #47
Build Number: KOT49H.N9005DXUGNK1
Root Status: Rooted with Xposed
Recovery: PhilZ Touch 6.48.4 (CWM v.6.0.5.0)
go to MultiX thread from @ykari4 and you will have everything you have.........it's not an obligation to update BL or modem but you can even with LP...like me
I am sorry if I wasn't clear in my opening post.
I would like to go from rooted Custom Kitkat to rooted stock Lollipop and update the baseband along the way. I am looking for the proper big steps to do this.

Thanks. I didn't know if I had to roll back in a specific order or whether it would be as straight forward as you've said. I can do that with my eyes closed

How do I root my Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F)

If this is in the wrong place, feel free to delete this post.
I'm a n00b at rooting and don't trust myself to use a guide which may be outdated. Can someone post me some instructions or a link to an updated version of the root I need. I only want to root my phone to de-bloat it, as I cannot stand those useless apps.
Phone details;
Model number - SM-G900F
Android version - 5.0
Baseband version - G900FXXU1BOJ1
Everything is stock.
Thanks
EDIT 1: I had to do a little research because I couldn't find the baseband version I needed and found out I could use the SM-G900F (International Qualcomm) CF Auto Root which I found on here; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696537#sthash.8q6iwfow.dpuf
I then followed a video on how to root the phone using the file I had. (I'm a major n00b )
The video I used - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMWzMbM5SCk
Starts @ 10:16
Credit to *Detection* for guiding me, I appreciate it bro.
Flash CR Auto Root from the CF AR thread
If that fails, reflash a stock ROM as it will likely bootloop your phone, and follow this guide
or just follow this one first
