Hi all I have redme 2, with stock rom ,rt now 6.7.1 version, but since the beginning there videos from phone are not playing on my Sony TV, but photos will.!! anyone having this issue ??
Another question the version which I'm having I'd the latest one?? For India ? Mine is running miui 6 still
Thanks
After so many days,& 152 visits,no one have this issue?means only I have !! ??
I have no way to try to reproduce the issue as I do not possess a device capable of recieving video cast.
But wait - you say 6.7.1? How did you get that? The first number usually means the last number of the year it was released, so 6.7.1 would be from July 1st 2016.
5.9.26 is the newest build, but I do not recommend it. There are more things it wreaks havoc in than things it actually fixes. On en.miui.com forum search for version that is about two weeks old, that should do fine
I can't tell the exact number 'cause I use localized miui and the builds are numbered slightly differently.
I, too, had some weird miui version when I turned my new phone on for the first time. It did strange things but after flashing more up to date version it worked.

Good afternoon everyone. I'm a total (and I mean TOTAL) novice and haven't a clue about hardware, software or firmware, so please be kind.
I bought a ZUK Z2 Pro off Ebay. I like it. It looks nice, it's pretty fast, the battery lasts ages, it's a good size in the palm of your hand and it's got loads of storage.
However, I live in the UK and it's come with this 1.9.104 ST version of ZUI which I believe is some custom ROM installed by resellers to make it compatible for international markets. It's terrible and doesn't do half of what the phone's supposed to do. What's worse, I believe there'll never be any updates on it, so it's likely to be extreme vulnerable from a security point of view. I want to be able to customise the phone so I get the type of functionality I used to get with my OnePlus One.
I'm not interested in becoming a programmer and I don't want to have to keep wiping my phone every time some new ROM comes along, but I just want a ROM that's not going to crash and at least alerts me when I've missed a call (which doesn't happen with the crappy ROM I have now). I want to get an update to Nougat when that comes to the Z2, but it looks like I won't be able to do that either given I don't get any OTA update notifications.
I'll need the Play Store integrated too, of course. Any advice or recommendations for a version that I can use, is in English and will deliver some updates when I need to get them?
Thanks in advance.

Use the cm Rom from Emmaus, on zukfans.eu. It's very stable. At the moment only the vibration isn't working.

Thanks guys - this is very helpful.
One more daft question for the experts: given the review of the regular ZUK Z2 (ie: not the Pro that I've got) I've read today on Trusted Reviews, which highlighted the same problems I have, is there any real issue with installing the regular official up-to-date version of ZUI from ZUK themselves, and then selecting English as a language?
If I did so, I presume that means I won't have the Google Play Store integrated? Assuming that's the case, is there a way round it?
Thanks again, and apologies if all of this is blindingly obvious to you guys. As I say, I'm pretty much a babe in the woods about this stuff (I once tried installing Oxygen OS on my OnePlus One and failed to the extent I just threw it in a cupboard and bought a new phone).

If you want to stick to zui, you could also head to zukfans.eu, there is a global rom with multilanguage and integrated Google play services
So, since November, is there a better suggestion for a stable, updateable ROM for ZUK2 PRO?
I find it very difficult to find one that is not broken. And I don't mind minor broken stuff like vibration, but things like camera or not being able to call, that's important.
I was collaborating with the one from Edgrr000 and emmaus in https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z2-pro/development/rom-lineageos-wip-t3551507 but it looks like it is abandoned now.

thank god i'm not the only one finding that a €300+ device should just work and nothing else
Feel free to use the Stock rom. Everything work as it should do.
Or use at least this one:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z2-pro/development/z2-pro-miui-8-touch-drivers-support-t3520833
As the first post says, I am also a novice and dont understand terms like flashing, rooting, TWRP, Qfil etc (I know I m dumb).
I had bought a zuk z2 pro, still on its way, from a supplier who installed a multilanguage custom rom. I tried to read threads here and on the zukfans eu and honestly I m getting more confused...some say stock rom is the best, others mention cyanogenmod etc.....All I need is the english language and google play...does that mean stock rom is enough? will it update automatically to nougat 7?...and another important question...how am I going to remove the custom rom to the stock rom? would that be safe? thanks
Stock ROM is Chinese and had some English translation. A load of things are still Chinese. So far I'm happy with mokee 7.1. A good translation and almost no Chinese stuff
just got mine today with global rom and android 6.0. The gallery app crashed all the time so i flashed it with stock rom and android 7.0. the stock rom has to much chinese for me so looking for a new rom. whats the best and most stable out there at this date?
after this very good tutorial, I finally got myself out of this zuk-whatever-it-is-OS... and I love Mokee.
running MK60.1-z2pro-170403-RELEASE.zip with ease and smile, and I do not think a sec to switch back to ZUI.
tnx, think i'll do that. can't get contacts from gmail to dialer or change launcher. i'll try mokee before i downgrade the phone to a musicplayer
@boygav, i suggest zui v2.3.044 ST very smooth, stable and fully functional...just root and remove chinese apps and u r good to go... I can guidde u if u need assistance
I recommend you the Mokee 7.1.1.
Everything work great (but no u-health and u-touch).
I made a tutorial to install this ROM from the beginning
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z2-pro/how-to/howto-install-mokee-7-1-1-unofficial-t3582686
ROM page :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z2-pro/development/rom-share-lr-team-zuk-z2row-z2-pro-t3567710
Why not use easily official download site?!
https://download.mokeedev.com/?device=z2pro
Every time up2date and no need to uplaod anywhere!
When I installed my Mokee, there was no Official Mokee version.
So now you can installed the nightly one from official download. But I don't know if everything works well like the unofficial.

Apologies for the delay guys. Nick - I may well take you up on your offer. The security on this ROM is pretty hopeless - I was being spammed really badly with pop-ups the other day there (and it was nothing I'd downloaded or installed either - my browsing history is pretty spotless, I like to think). Seemed the phone had just installed something overnight.
If you have an absolute idiot's guide to installing this and what the hell rooting actually involves, I'd be most grateful.
Many thanks.
Hi my camera either works or it doesn't depending on when I last dropped my phone so I was wondering if there is a buildprop edit that will disable the ois on the camera.
I saw on here the instructions for a OnePlus 2 in one of the sun forums so that is where the idea came from.
My only other option to consider is maybe seeking out a phone with a Samsung isocell camera and fitting it to see if the drivers work for it since it would be in the same family.
Someone on ZTE community recommended a camera from another axon 7 but that defeats the point. I might aswell just use that and keep my one as spares but I'd rather seek a fix rather than a new purchase.
My axon 7 is a 2017u model I bought in Canada but I am currently living back home in England. I am moving back next year so the 2017u is better for me on the network I use there.
I am also eagerly awaiting official 8.0 and lineage 15 as I will be looking to try both. Though finding it hard to get my head around the files needed to flash (bootstacks etc) as I came from a nexus 6p and nexus 5 previous so flashing to me was a doddle.
Cheers

A camera from another phone model is not gonna work, like, ever, unless it is the exact same sensor... dob't even think about it. But from another axon7, yeah.
Oreo B01 and B12 have been released by NFound as flashables, they are both official 8.0 and you don't need anything else (besides magisk of course) to flash them since they are aroma zips with the modems bundled. just select which modem you want and you're fine
Cheers...I will wait to see if anyone can guide me to a buildprop edit to maybe disable the OIS then...
Also quick question. What is with the b numbers for ROMs. I would have thought the Oreo ROM would be one number but you quote 2 different variants.
Is there a guide somewhere about that so I can catch up to the whole scene from the beginning of the axon 7
Cheers

No, we planned to do one but just didn't eventually.
There are 3 models: A2017 which is from China, A2017G which is Int'l, and A2017U for the US. These 3 models have different developer teams for some reason.
So the Chinese and U devs number all of their betas, and for example, in this case the first official update to Oreo would have been around B15 (They don't start from B01, they just count until they get a stable one and release it). So, that's why they skip numbers; for example on the U you have B32 and then came B35, because there were two unreleased betas in the middle. This causes the build numbers to go up a crapton.
The updates are usually labeled A2017xVx.x.xBxx. V1.0.0 is Marshmallow, and then Nougat may be V1.2.0 for example. But they all use different naming schemes and it's a mess.
The G team never skips numbers. For example the Oreo update is called B01. Nougat and Marshmallow also had B01 as the first versions. This way it's much easier because they don't skip any numbers, but you don't know how many betas it went through
In this case Oreo is A2017GV1.3.0B01
I don't believe disabling OIS from build.prop is possible
Cheers anyways. I installed the new unnofficial 15.1 lineage and the camera has been fine since so all is good at the moment.
Very happy chappy here. Glad I kept the phone and waited to take it to android 8
This is not as question, but as discussion about our phone official support. And yes Mi A1 won't get Android Q:crying: According to Google answer Pixel/Android One phone receive at least 18 month for OS upgrade support. And as today (March 2019) it's already passed. It's about OS upgrades. Now about security updates. According to Google in past the Android One should have at least 3 years security updates support. But on October 2018 Google gave an official mandate about taking 2 years of security updates for popular Android phones (later in December 2018 Google change rules for Android One as well to 2 years). But since Xiaomi doesn't really care about Mi A1, it shows that the end of support is near (maybe 1 or 2 months).

Time to move to a custom ROM
At least, means it will get no less than 18 months new OS releases.
On the other side, i think it will sure get the new ''whatever-iteration-may-have'' Q version of android because there will be no major difference in OS and will be easy enough for developers to adapt.

Not sure for it. 18 months has passed just now. I don't have any hopes for xiaomi to make new update, just because they already showed how much quality they put in upgrate of phone (Android pie for exp.) Making android Q doesn't makes them any profit. And in their interest to get customers buy new devices.

Yep. It is. There are already new march security update out. Customs get it almost instantly. While official there's no any guarantee to even get any further updates at all.

Does anyone have a solid official confirmation from Xiaomi that they won't be continuing to support the Mi A1 in terms of major OS updates? I'm thinking about moving to a custom ROM but I want to ensure that there won't be any major official updates coming anymore.

you miss a lot, but not need per se a custom rom, is enough root + all the goodies will come with root and customization.
force doze, custom kernel, magisk modules, google camera and so on.

To others, there is a lot. But to me, there is only 1 thing: stock doesn't support Ex-fat sd cards, and the only kernel that offer true Ex-fat support is custom roms only. On stock 8.1 I can live with a Magisk module that support Exfat but 9.0 is the main reason I jumped ship.
The unofficial los 16 by flex is an amazing rom don't let the unofficial bit put you off, it's the perfect daily driver, more customisation than stock but not ott like some roms
I am happy to have gotten 2 major updates, previously at this price point we would have been lucky to get 1, so android 1 program has increased value with updates. I was hoping to get 3 years of security updates, so disappointed Google has changed the requirement, but perhaps Xiaomi will honour the expectations when the device was released.
Even at 2 years I would still have bought the phone, but annoyed if it's changed after purchase.
I currently use Stock unrooted Rom, the first phone I haven't at least rooted, but I am sure the community will keep the phone going for another couple of years at least.
I bough this phone on Nov 2017 (if note mistaken) and I'm quite satisfy with the update from Nougat to Pie. But if you buy the phone later than that you probably feel not enough update (because you only receive Oreo to Pie update) but I believe you have received price drop compare to the initial release.
I prefer stable rather than updated OS. This device is already more than 1 year and new android OS will optimize new hardware, smartphone hardware obsolete very fast compare to PC or other device. There's no other choice if you want to optimize your phone to the latest android OS except buying new phone. I like to stay to the stock rom (with Magisk of course) till the end just to get full experience of Android One. I'm not gonna denied that Android One is a bit mess up either from manufacture side and Google itself. I will probably buy Android One device again in the future (few years from now) and see how much Android One will improve.

Same here, first ever un-touched stock. I'm still satisfied with this mid-low budget phone and that the OS is (pretty) free from "customization".
It is (was) a good bang for the buck when bought in Nov. -17 and still does it's job.
Features like GCam and similar were never promised or supported so that wasn't an issue for me nor a reason to root...
I have the AT&T branded version of the S10+ , meaning I bought it from AT&T. So if you are on another carrier or have the unlocked version, this post might be of no use to you!
I have had the phone a little over a month. Since I have had it, it has gone thru several firmware updates that are confusing the hell out of me. Here's my trek log:
Phone came with firmware SD3.
About a week later it updated itself to SD7.
Some weeks later SD9 came around (I think).
I noticed the security level patch was being updated to a semi current month and that is it aside somewhere I read something about night mode on the camera (which I have) and also found a new QR scanner icon.
After that, it updates to firmware SR7 or S something 7 (I forgot the middle letter).
I was on this firmware until yesterday when it updated to SG8. I was on SG8 about 5 minutes before it said another update was available. What gives!?!? So many updates! AHHHHHH!
I read that the Sxx update (I forgot the middle letter and end number this time) just fixes some bug about the lock screen. I wasn't even experiencing said bug! Why do I need the update!?!?
So this morning after connecting to my wifi last night my phone yet again updated itself, (even though I kept telling it to remind me later) this time to SGB.
I am freaking confused Mr. Bigglesworth!
Can someone help and enlighten me here? I come from the S3 and S4 days of the galaxy line, back then only serious updates (like the patch for stage fright) and OS updates rolled out. These new seemingly random and nonessential updates are very new to me.
I'm not on AT&T and people with Samsung phones almost invariably complain about not receiving updates so your complaint is novel.
SGB is the latest Samsung build--unlocked S10+ phones got it this week (after several months with no updates) and Verizon got that update last week.
Your many intermediate updates might be coming from AT&T and be updating or fixing the carrier specific stuff they added to your phone.

so the interesting part of the firmware's are the last 6 letters on my phone those are U3ASG8.
the u3a part is the version of the bootloader you are on (this is not downgradable), so I am on the 3rd version of the bootloader.
the last 6 letters in my case SG8
-S is for the year, so in 2020 it will become T
-G is for the month (A for January, B for February and so on)
-8is the build number (they test internally find any problems then increase the version...)
if you want to find what the updates improved check
http://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-G975F/LUX/doc.html
just change SM-G975F to your model and change LUX to your region. This is everything they say in the changelog for the update on the phone too. If it repeats the same stuff as last month that most of the time means that it was just a security update.

You know I did read somewhere that the firmware letters and numbers meant the bootloader, month, year, and build number. I didn't know I could check a site to see what the updates did/do, thanks for the post but I tried changing the lux to US and 975F to 975U but it came back with a 404 error.
Hi all,
Does anyone know what roms are compatible with the Tab A 10.1 2019 version? I see a lot of roms for 2016 version but not for the 2019.
Running stock Nexus, and I don't have any complaints except that you hardly can customize it yourself. I have a bought icon pack but can't use it for example.
Greetings Rick
I've actually just flashed a number of ROM's for this baby in the last few weeks - there are plenty to play with.
I settled on this as I think it was the best overall:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...rom-nexus-stock-2019-galaxy-tab-10-1-t4056233
Have fun.
Thank you for the time to respond Where are you looking for when finding a Rom. Im on Nexus stock aosp based. But there are still some things I would like to see different. As I only use the tab for 1 game. Still chrashes, issues with keyboard. So I don't mind customizing it.
Greetings from Holland
Yeah it's a good tab, for its price. So I'm kinda buffels by the fact that there is hardly one on this forum.

There are two other custom ROMs for the T510. LOS 17.1 and a Nexus version based on Android 9. I've been using the Nexus 10 one for months and have never had a crash or keyboard problem. Maybe it is the one game you play that has the problems.

Always a posibility, still i seem to have a habbit of trying stuff out.
Don't know if I should post this under OP but it's in the same line of it. Like I said love to tinker around with software for 10 years ago or something I got a budget phone that in the end would not update Android anymore so that was the moment I came to the conclusion that my model then was a better version of the original. Kinda like in this case, tab a 2016 and 2019 will differ in chipset etc. But tab a is tab a. So I started to go head in and toke a dive into the Android world, met some interesting people including the legendary Mr Carvalho. But... Im not posting this because I like to write or want you to read a book so let's cut to the case, im reading up a bit with customizing etc. Starting where I left off, installing ADB drivers again MTK drivers C++ all that good stuff. But then I kept reading, and correct me if I'm wrong but did you guys crack the code? The sometimes impossible to port source code? Or am I getting that GSI wrong. The software from the OD will be used to power the custom Rom so finding and combining code is almost a thing of the past? I tried to flash one last night to see if it really was that easy. Managed to get the tablet into a recovery bootloop. Installed the Nexus Rom again now the Los version. So I guess I did something wrong I think to know what it whas but before I make a paperweight from it, I think it's better to ask first.
So GSI, restrictions? Things to look for. Is it possible on this device?
Device is Treble ready
Supports A/B Arm
So it should right?
Off topic. This is a question for the Nexus Rom. Why are some Samsung features disabled? Like screen recording. Used multiple now all end up recording 0 or no internal audio. Other Samsung features like the camera, mail service etc. Only thing I'm searching for is the screen recording function with internal sound. Anny way to enable it or an alternative?
Thanks in advance.

But tab a is tab a. ...
Thanks in advance.

Utter nonsense. The only thing "Tab A" tablets have in common is the name.

So I would like to start by saying great job, I agree with house things where set in place in the long run, I would say lets wait on future runs, just because it was future runs that caused an issuee. Either way thqanks for the recommendations but this seems like it will be a judge appointed issue., i appreciate everything but+
I use the Nexus, Android 10, AOSP-based rom from Magedanz. I works great, I tried LOS 17.1 and LOS based Nexus as well, but settled on the AOSP based due to the lack of support of the 400GB microsd I have in my T510 from LOS and the LOS based Nexus rom not able to read my microsd. The AOSP rom read it just fine and was able to format it correctly.
