Updating to Lollipop messes with all your initial KitKat partitions. There are 2 solutions to what you're asking.
Solution 1 (SAFE):
It's highly recommended you DON'T just flash a KitKat ROM back onto your device, this will render your device useless. Return to stock KitKat by using the Return To Stock method, then flash your KitKat ROM back over. Doing it this way will first make sure your device has the proper KK partitions. Of course if you have a KK Nandroid back up just flash that back on once you're back on KitKat , and if you don't have a KK Nandroid backup.. just make sure you back up your LP data/media before returning back to stock :victory:.
Solution 2 (UNSAFE, D802 ONLY):
This method unfortunately is only FOR THE D802 by somboons in this thread which I have NOT tested. It involves flashing a .zip to revert your KitKat partitions. More room for errors, but less work. Your call. Obviously if your device is not a D802, don't even attempt this solution, seriously.. just go with Solution 1 .
How to restore KK partitions/flash other ROM (credits to droidth):
- Download this flashable zip: LGG2 -droidth-fixed-KK-partition.zip
- Reboot to recovery and flash LGG2 -droidth-fixed-KK-partition.zip, DONT REBOOT!
- Flash backup or other G2 stock based ROM.

How can I get into recovery if I flash a lp rom? I think rom delete it and can't get into it neither on download mode.... And got no imei.... I am fu+-ed right?
Hi
I have tried to find a solution for my situation in the last 2 days and I didn't find one.
I have a N910F with 5.0.1 lollipop stock rom. it is rooted and with TWRP recovery. i have used Odin.
The problem is that my phone started to act weird 2 days ago while charging. It was restarting itself while charging and i decided to stop charging. After few hours when i have tried i couldn't charge anymore. if i am using a USB cable to attach to my pc it saying USB device not recognized .
I want to flash a stock recovery or a 4.4.4 rom using only custom recovery( i have tried mobile odin but my device is not supported, also i have tried different genuine samsung usb cables). i have found a stock rom 4.4.4 flashable through custom recovery, but because i have 5.0.1 modem is not booting up.
How can i remove the custom recovery and flash a standard recovery without odin? i have root at the moment and custom recovery.
can some one send me a stock recovery for BOB4 5.0.1 lollipop flashable from custom recovery or flashfy/rom manager?
many thanks.
also i have tried to restore my nandroid backup and restore to factory defaults. the device status is still CUSTOM. the rom part it should be official, it is just the recovery non standard.
any help? suggestions? are the contacts near the battery usb compatible? can i use those contacts as usb? i want to send back phone to warranty and i don't want complications.
I have managed to update my recovery to stock one with flashify, also i have updated to boot.img with flashify. Problem is that the system status is still custom, and binary still custom. Any solution to that? ( one solution is to wait for wanam to be updated for lollipop and reset).
Hi i flashed somboons lollipop ROM for D802 in a D805 and I noticed a slow charging , then I tried to go to stock 4.4.2 with lg flash tools and it did not work , stuck on 2% , well then I repaired my phone with tot. File , modify it and make think Lg Flasher that is a D802 and then it booted to stock jelly bean normally , then updated to 4.4.2 with lg flash tool and slow charging stills there , I don't know what happer , it's no the charger because before all that problems the phone charged correctly , and also in twrp and turned off it charges fast , so what can I do? Maybe there are lollipop files in /system? I will try a full wipe and install a new ROM in TWRP.
Sorry if I'm posting in wrong section actually I'm a newbie
Hi all, I've updated my Note 3 SM-N900 to Cm 14 nougat 7.1.1 unofficial lonage os by ha_3g. Now i want to go back to my stock Twiz 5.0 lollipop, is it possible I've all my rom backedup by TWRP. Can i restore my backup without any problem?
Thanks in advance
nah, usually i just flash my firmware using odin without backup
Usually if you want to revert back to stock firmware, everything will be removed, including your custom recover(TWRP in this case), miscellaneous files and folders that were previously on your custom ROM. So, in summary, you won't be able to recover your backed up apps/data as TWRP will get wiped out as well, being replaced by the stock Samsung recovery.
Yep, wipe system, data, cache & dalvik then restore your backup.
Before updating I've backed up my stock Twiz rom via TWRP, now i just want to revert back to my Stock rom which was lollipop 5.0. I'm afraid bcz I've seen some where that we cannot install 5.0 (lower version) over 7.1 (greater) version it will brick the phone bcz of some bootloader issues, btw I've not messed up with bootloader, so plz advise me if it will be safe or not.
Lot of Thanks for the members of the forum who replied in no time & who r ready to help. Salute to all of u. you people r great
Only a stock firmware flashed with Odin can upgrade your bootloader.
And the latest official firmware for Note 3 is Lollipop 5.0.
So your bootloader still 5.0 even if you flashed a nougat rom.
Even more, custom roms don't touch bootloader or modem partitions, ever.
Go ahead
Hey bro. Just go to sammobile.com and download your rom and flash via Odin. Only Odin can downgrade your BL and Modem
Thanks alot for the clarification I'll go ahead now.
I can swap between 7.1 Nougat and 5.0 stock, with no issues, through my nandroids.
If you had a nandroid before, you shouldn't have any issue just using the TWRP function to restore your backup. It will be exactly as you had it before.
The only difference will be that you will still have TWRP installed, etc.
Anyways, you can swap back and forth as much as you like. You don't have to wipe anything, or use Odin, since you made a nandroid already.
Yes you can go back to lollipop . I have done that in my sm 900 exynos version. marshmallow and nougat drains battery
Flashed 5.1.1 ( G600FYXXU1AOL2_G600FYODD1AOL2_INS ) At Samsung On 7 Pro, Now Phone Is Stucked At Bootloop Please Help ?
In my case, when I flash 5.1.1 ROM I need to Reset Factory my phone to fix the Bootloop, maybe because it's installing an inferior version on Andrond and some functions cannot be supported or be compatible. I always backup my data before the downgrade and I usually flash the Lollipop ROM, but I can't keep it for more than two weeks.
