Has there ever been a yet for this issue? It's kind of annoying. I miss a lot of notifications because of this. Thank you
I'm in the same boat. 90% of the time the initial sound just doesn't happen so I never know when I get anything unless it's something that happens very shortly after the first notification.

Hi guys,
I've got a weird issue that seems to be happening only with my girlfriend when she calls me and/or I call her, but mostly when she calls me. Sometimes she will call me and I pick up and I can hear her but she can't hear me. It seems to be only her that is experiencing this, and I'm not hitting the mute key or putting her on hold accidentally or anything of the sort... if I call her back immediately then everything is fine... just wondering if anyone else is experiencing something similar/has a solution?
Thanks in advance!
happens to me on occasion as well
same. i just usually redial.
known issue .. change gf
I have exactly the same intermittent issue when I dial home and speak to my wife - every so often I can hear her and she is unable to hear me.
Hasn't happened with other numbers?
I was very pissed off when that happened to me couple of times..
I'm not sure, but after that i was looking for the "audio settings" and one of the switches was set to 0,.. not sure if that was the case but i hope it was.
Will play some more with that once i get my second nexus
I had the problem where they couldn't hear me, called two numbers to confirm, did a reboot and haven't seen it again.
Lmao! Classic!

surprised to see this. Anyone had it since receiving the OTA update (which I STILL have not received)?

Ha ha ha... she does have an iPhone... hmmm you may be on to something J/K... but yeah I'm hoping maybe the OTA will fix it... I hope
I am having this issue to when I call my mom who is on Verizon, and a few other friends. For me it happens randomly in the call, nothing gets muted or put on hold, I can hear them, but they can't hear me, so it usually ends up in them hanging up cause they thought I hanged up lol. This issue is still present after the OTA update, but I haven't tried it on a custom ROM yet.
ive had this issue w/tmobile in general. ive been using unlocked phones in the past, however. dont know if that makes a difference...used phones like the iphone and htc touch hd. i usually have to redial and its fine but once in a while it will happen. i have the nexus 1 w/stock rom. no OTA update yet.
Hmmmm... I've used unlocked phones on T-Mo's network as well, but this is the first time I've had this problem in areas with 2+ bars of reception... interesting.
I've experienced about a dozen instances over the past month and a half when the HTC alarm goes off at the specified time but I'm unable to dismiss/silence it. It has been only an intermittent problem and I've yet understand the exact conditions that cause this to occur or been able to reproduce it under controlled conditions. In any case it is quite annoying as I'm forced to completely power off the phone just to make the alarm stop (not fun when you're just trying to hit snooze for an extra ten minutes). I've experienced the issue from both the "alarms" and "timer" feature of the HTC clock. I do use a task manager, but have Clock on its ignore list and don't notice anything on the auto-kill list that would be related.
Has anyone else experienced this or have any insights? I'll keep ya posted if I discover what conditions are causing this.
Thanks,
Darren
Happened to me as well, i hit dismiss and the window went away but the alarm noise kept playing and wouldnt stop... so then i opened up task killer and killed off the clock task and it still kept playing! even with no programs running! had to turn it completely off to stop
I had the same happen. Still have yet to figure out why .
Sent from my HTC Incredible using Tapatalk
same thing happened to me. i received a text while the alarm was sounding, but when i closed handcent i couldn't turn the alarm off.
Interesting to hear the problem isn't limited to my device. For what its worth, I submitted a report to HTC; we'll see if they give any useful response.
Actually experienced the problem again this morning. It was interesting in that I had just powered-on the phone immediately before going to bed, so the issue seems to be unrelated to anything I'm manually running on the phone. Spent a few minutes in task manager seeing if I could kill the sound but with no luck; decided for the sake of my roommate that I'd just power off and work on it at a more convenient time.
Will let you know if HTC says anything, although with the new senseless rom's coming out this will likely become a non-issue for me.
Its a known issue. I started a thread about this the week the phone was released. It happens when anything comes up at the same time as the alarm such as texts or other alerts. I had it happen where an alarm was sounding then a calendar even came up and both got stuck. Its a Sense UI issue. Good thing that's a thing of the past. Getting rid of Sense this weekend and flashing a new ROM
When receiving a call, I'm having issues with flipping up the lockscreen. It doesn't happen all the time, but only if the phone has been off and in the case for a while. I don't know if this has to do with any other apps such as Attentive Phone, but I'm keeping an eye on it for now. Feedback, anyone?
This has happened to me too. I recently uninstalled Attentive Phone and I don't think its happened since then, but I'm not sure if that was the problem or not.
Hey yeah this happened to me this morning for the first time...
Hello. I had a quick question, does anyone else get those vibrations with no notification at all. When my phone is on vibrate, it will vibrate with nothing in the status bar. I have no idea what's causing this. When it's not on silent I makes the notification sound, still no idea what's causing it. I checked notification settings, I don't have anything blocked. I can't figure out what's causing these ghost notifications. It's driving me nuts. Happens at least 15 times in a 24 hour period...

It has happened to me many times also? Are you on the beta? I am, and im also running greenify with adb permissions, i dont know if that has anything to do with it. I know its not the smart alert or whatever it is where when you pick up your phone if you have an unread message it will vibrate because there is never a message when it does it. The other night my wife literally thought i was hiding something because it happened so many times and there would be nothing on my phone like i hurried and erased it lmao!

That's hilarious as my wife says the exact same thing lol. I'll check that setting that's for reply bud. O think do I have to set to vibrate with an unread.

Haha yea at least it is not just my wife. I checked my smart alert and its on but i dont think it has to do with that. My smart alert does work correctly though. Since responding to your pist yesterday it has not happened to me though? Im gonna keep digging into it, because i dont want to get in anymore trouble lmao ?
I'm trying to work out if this is a 'just me' problem or something that's affecting more people but has gone unnoticed yet...
Some of my notifications (in particular missed calls, sms, voicemail and WhatsApp messages) seem to be significantly delayed - they may not come through as a notification for hours. My record is 13 hours for a missed call notification. Meanwhile, I also sometimes get a glyph notification when there's nothing new in my notifications - I'm starting to wonder if these are actually real notifications that don't make it through to the notification screen for some reason.
A reboot of the phone fixes the issue immediately but it returns at a yet to be determined interval.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Loving the phone but the OS feels a little Alpha / Beta right now.
There was like few seconds delay when I was on OS v1.0.2 but after v1.1.0 haven't faced any such notification delay issue.

Updating was the first thing I did.
No-one else seems to have this problem so far so I'm suspecting it's a me problem and I need a factory reset... however, the thought of setting my phone back up from scratch AGAIN fills me with dread. It took forever last time.

yeah that's a tedious process to do again but seems like you should try it.
