Hi, thanks for your comment. Right now I have not found any in which the fingerprint reader work.

Just wait a couple of weeks, more ROMs will be developed

Why the Laser Auto Focus not working in cm12.1? (And a simple review about that Rom)

So guys i tried the cm12.1 (2-3 days ago) and its really awesome @Epipsychidion as i said i'll give a review here it is!! Stable?? Ofc Hell yeah!! Customization?? Seriously Alot!!! Everything working fine?? Yep!! More flawlessly than stock tbh!! i really love the cm rom! and Camera app dosent seem to be not that good ! but still not a big deal for me! i can use different app, and guys i found the audio clarity more better in cm 12.1 (Audio Fx is awesome) but one question, i can understand why fingerprint is not working because code is not there! But can anyone tell me why laser auto focus is also off?? also any tips for cm rom from the experienced users??

I'm using AICP 12.1 (by optx) which is based on LOS14.1.
It's from January I believe but I have used it for a daily since then with next to no issues.
Sorry I don't have the link right now but I will edit this post as soon as I find it.
I find it best to not use Google Play Services and use "Yalp Store" which you can find on F-Droid site.
However some apps may need GPlay Services due to dependencies. (Just flash OpenGapps, make sure you flash with the rom and not after it's been booted without them installed)
(Snapchat requires GPlay Services to be installed before it even opens)
But yeah, it's very very smooth just battery life is not the best... I can still get a full days use if I don't sit on it all the time. (Tested a "new, genuine" battery which has same results...)
No issues with BT, WiFi, NFC or RIL.
All sensors working as supposed to incl. Fingerprint scanner. (Haven't tested heart beat sensor)
Only reason I have to link this is because the nightlies for Nougat have been removed from AICP's servers
Camera works great, haven't had one force close yet...

Thank you for the answer, good to know, because in the A510F I was sick of Samsung Experience but thanks to Exynos LineageOS was just awful, now in S5 I can install it and I'm curious. PD: The infrared works? I use it a lot (I'm a bit laxy hahaha) so it's an important feature for my daily use.

No problemo,
Hope it's as buttery smooth as mine is! (Try 1.5x animator, transition and window scales, everything glides nicely.

I'm using it right now, the phone is fast as hell. It's true that the battery is a bit worse, but is better than Touchwiz MM xD.

Yuppppp.
If you look in the quick tiles pulldown (statusbar) you should find a performance mode option. I use that to save battery when I don't need it to be zippy fast. (You may have to edit tiles) also go into AICP extras and look for scrolling cache and force disable it.
Is there any ROM with battery better than TouchWiz Stock ROM? I need battery more than anything. Haha

Don't know, I'm a bit amateur in this device. But probably not, maybe one Touchwiz based ultralight can help you.

I'm sorry to ask again, but I have a last question he he. I installed LOS14.1 and I have some Wi-Fi and Mobile data problems (like it power off and restart the signal or the WiFi is quite slow...) Do you have those problems in that ROM you shared in this thread? (If not I will install it, I'm a bit sick of the dam WiFi). Thanks in advance.
Oh... this is sad, because I tested LineageOS and the battery life was very poor...

Hi mate, no I don't...
I use LTE 90% of the time which doesn't help me answer this question much but I usually only have problems with Wi-Fi when the signal is low.
Have you upgraded the device to the latest stock firmware before flashing TWRP / new rom?
I noticed the Modem is read-only so flashing a rom won't change it.
Not sure what to say to be honest.
Have you got an aftermarket back cover? non-genuine or made of metal perhaps?

Are you referring to LOS15.1? Because battery isn't too bad on Nougat builds. Not the best but is usable.

Yes LOS14.1/15.1 are terrible for battery.
I understand other ROMs are built from LOSbut I've had better luck using AICP 12.1 (Nougat 7.1.2)
If you can't find a recent build let me know and I'll link one to you.

All I know is it's good when in Doze and lasts me a whole day light - med usage with screen on full brightness and no battery saver mode all the way down to 0%

Concern over lack of Time development

Hi everyone this would be my first thread here at xda
I am considering getting the redmi K20 once it launches in India my biggest concern right now is the rom development for this phone can we expect anything are any developers interested in it or is it pretty much dead and it's better to go for something else
My main priority for the new phone is developer support
Thank you
Pro version will have better community development.
I would love to but looks like the pro wont come into my budget
So there will be complete lack of support or just that it will be slow?
I'd say very very slow. Mi 9T is an international version and there's almost nothing available for this device.
But, there's one good news, some (if not most) mods available for the k20 Pro/9T Pro will be compatible with the non pro version.
Actually, unless they are specific for the SD855, should work on our device.

I do.
It's working almost perfectly, the issues I found are:
• Camera pops up every reboot
• Screen needs to be awake to use the fingerprint
• Charging led not working (this one should be very easy to fix)
Developers are working on the other fixes, I bet they will be working perfectly very soon.
i hope it will be some custom, real rom, for this device, no need a lot, just some major ( lineage, havoc, maybe pixel experience)

Can you check if Android Auto is working? I am looking to buy this phone, but am afraid that some stupid hardware issue is causing Android Auto to fail. If it is just software, I would be fine with installing a rom.

Thanks man, I know that, my question is different.
DELETED
I've tried it for two days, it's actually good but it has some minor bugs like the vibration strength too low (for system keys or the keyboard) and the screen rotation always enabled on the lock screen and recents panel, details that will bothers you after a while (at least in my case), but overall it's a good ROM.
PA is super smooth when comparing to other ROM, I can notice it when rotate the phone
Using PA about 2 weeks. So smooth. No problem with rotation. Playing PUBG and Mobile Legend is fine. Batery also fine.
Same here.
Using 1 week now.
Extreme smooth.
Good battery.
Gcams working.
FBE and old cam.
Just very few customisations.
Bummer there is no xda thread.
Only telegram group.

Need a new rom

I'm on the latest android Q (i think its called that?) My OS is pretty jacked up most likely from not having a full clean install in a long time (setting app has a bizarre name and wifi and bluetooth having odd glitches.)
That being said I'd like to try something new and would love to give AOSP a try or a custom OOS based rom, but I have concerns.
Face unlocking working? I would prefer to keep this feature. (AOSP)
Wifi calling working? I have bad connection around my apartment.
Hows the bluetooth in either custom or AOSP? I get a lot of audio output issues.
Paranoid Android Quartz 4 is my daily driver
So far I tried
paranoid <pretty stable but is to basic for my taste, and no face unlock,
Resurrection remix < great but a little but laggy
Havoc < good stuff recommended
But by far the best is pixenos, man this Rom runs so smooth and has a build in updater!
Gpay works out of the box, It did not need magisk, even tho I installed it for quick switch and lawnchair.
Super easy instalation as well!
I can't stress enough how smooth this rom performs!

Pixel OS just made my list, would like to know a few details though.
1. Is it safetynet passed ?
2. Does it support VoLTE and VoWiFi ?
3. Face unlock and FP unlock works alright ?
4. Any Bluetooth connectivity issues ?
5. How is the audio quality ?

1. Is it safetynet passed ? Yeah, I use magisk, but If I recall correctly it works right out of the box, even without magisk, my banking app and gpay work just fine
2. Does it support VoLTE and VoWiFi ? Honestly I don't know, I guess so, never need to think about that, I just call and it works haha
3. Face unlock and FP unlock works alright ? Yeah, never had a problem with it, it's fast and reliable, I mean for custom roms, I have the feeling that with oos its a tad bit faster, but nevertheless, it works fine
4. Any Bluetooth connectivity issues ? Nope, using Sonys mx4's, Google buds and Samsung buds plus, all work fine
5. How is the audio quality? So far so good, I use viper over magisk to enhance it a little, but for me it's fine overall, but i am not an audiophile... [/QUOTE]
Does any of the rom have dual space like in OOS?
I would like to make leap from OOS but this dual space feature doesn't allow me to do so. As my 2nd whatsapp is very important for me
If there is any other way to get 2nd whatsapp(not whatsapp bussiness) running on same device.
Thanks.
