Why there is no music background (album art) on the screen lock, when music or radio is playing?
This is a build-in option on Lollipop, but it doesn't work on my Edge+.[/QUOTE]
Actually, I believe it was a Kitkat thing for Samsung devices, doesn't do it on Lollipop from what I know

just wondering if that have made any substantial changes to the stock music player? (Besides EQ)
Also, did they fix that annoying bug where the widget would lock up if you changed the rotation on the screen while music was playing?
Hi Xda fans
I recently Purchased the G900W8 and Ive run into the following issue.
I don't have any music on my phone and there aren't any videos yet either, but still the Music player shortcut controls keep coming up on my lock screen. at random times multiple times a day (without opening the Music player app) the music controls will come up on the lock screen even tho there is nothing to play. When i open my Task Manager/ Active applications tab its all clear and even when i clear my recent apps tab the controls will still be on my lock screen.
The only way i can get rid of the controls on the lock screen is by opening the Music Player app then going and going and clearing the recent apps and forcing the app to close.
Then the Controls will be gone from my lock screen, for about an hour or so.
Thanks for the help in advance.
My S4 on Version took the OTA 5.0.1 update today, and now when I use any music app (Amazon Music, Player Pro, etc) I no longer have music controls or album artwork on my lock screen. Any idea how to get it back?
Thank You
I was able to figure it our, if anyone else needs to know:
Settings > Sound & Notification > When Device Is Locked > Show all notification content.
You can then go into the App Notification settings (right below the previous one) and set any apps that have sensitive notification content. All other apps should fully display their notifications on the lock screen, including music apps.
my galaxy s4 music equalizer won't accept any changes....it's just stuck on normal
how can i fix that?
Is there a lock screen I can install which shows fullscreen album art when playing from Spotify? Actually I am looking for something like the Cyanogenmod lock screen which also had a nice graphic equalizer. I know that Good Lock from Samsung can show album art, but it also brings with it a lot of changes that I do not want.
Can someone tip me about a lock screen that does this? I suppose the CM lock with AudioFX equalizer is not possible
I know Google Music will show full album art when playing and the screen is locked but I'm not sure about it showing a graphic EQ on the lock screen.
Hi.
The stock music player has lockscreen controls accessible without tapping the notification bell, and the album cover appears as the lockscreen background.
However, these features are not available when using other music apps like Spotify and Pandora, which makes skipping a track very annoying since it requires tapping the notification bell. I could care less about the album art in the lockscreen, judt thought I should point it out.
Does anyone know a way to make the spotify or pandora act as the stock music app to get controls in the lock screen? Thanks.

You can wait for future update which should remove the bell as everyone hates it or use another app for locked screen.
The problem with using another locked screen is you end up with two locked screens unless you choose to disable the built-in locked screen.
