I am still running a KitKat ROM and I recently returned my phone to stock because I was about to trade with someone. That fell through so I rooted and installed an NI2 kitkat ROM again. Service at my house seems a little worse and I'm thinking I may have flashed a different baseband before.
Currently on NI2 and wondering what other baseband I can flash while on KitKat?

Hello, I have a bell sm-n900w8 note 3 with android 3.4. Here are some screenshots of the setiings: http://imgur.com/a/lfjal. I started out by rooting it and installing TWRP. My phone ran great. I then wanted to try a new rom so about a week ago I flashed the sm-9005 xnote rom. It worked great. The next day I wanted to use 4.4 kitkat so I flashed the bobcat rom, this did not boot though becasue I had not upgraded my phone to kitkat. I then paniked and installed the xnote rom again. Now my phone runs very hot and has terrible battery life becasuse of this mm-qcamera-daemon and the camera doesn't work. I tried unrooting it using this guide: http://www.androidrootz.com/2013/10/how-to-unrootunbrick-galaxy-note-3.html. This did not work and odin kept saying failed. Then I paniked again and went into SU and hit unroot. Now I have a phone that just barely works and runs out of battery very fast.
Can someone help me unroot and reset my phone to what it was like when I first got it?
If you need any more information about what I did, please feel free to ask me, in this case you are the experts.
You have to flash the stock firmware using Odin. You can download it from sammobile.com.

It worked!
How do I fix the thing were I can't upgrade the phone because it is modified?
You can upgrade it but you have to use Odin to flash the 4.4.2 firmware. Again you can download it from sammobile.

So before I go any further I would just like to quickly note that I have tried to do some research on this question before posting it and have came up empty handed.
Now for the question: My Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 updated to NC1 the night that the update was released and I was wondering how I could currently achieve root on NC1?
Specs:
Model: Samsung SGH-I337
Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband: I337UCUFNC1
Currently running 100% stock and would like root.
Thanks in advance for any and all help!

The same way you root NB1. This has been asked, you proceed with the downgrade as normal. It may help to go to NB1 first and then MK2.

I'm not exactly sure who you're calling a "noob", but if I would like to make a new thread that someone has already asked then I will damn sure do as I please. I appreciate your link in your first reply but the word noob isn't exactly a friendly one and some people take offense to it whether or not it is intended to do so.

At one point we all were and called ourselves like that. What bothers is that we see the same questions on new threads over and over. A forum was design to read and search. Once you don't find your answer you post a new thread. Some moderators will suggest the same to avoid clogged our forum. That's how we should treated and care for. I don't feel it's offensive and if it is apologize to those who feel that way.

I remember when I had my GS3 I had to flash stock 4.3 (which if I'm not mistaken still has a locked bootloader) and then I flashed a custom stock 4.1 rom and was able to flash the latest CM 11 plus a modem/bootloader combo zip from 4.3 and it worked fine. Is that even in the realm of possibilities with the GS4?

I had the GS3 also and it was great you could flash anything Ubuntu and more, but now AT&T tied our hands because the war it's having with Samsung we pay. Others phones like the HTC it's reported to be bootloader unlocked. You can flash cm 11 without any problem.

I am looking for a custom KitKat rom 4.4.2. All the ones I'm finding will not flash successfully. The one I did find was messing up my phone modem (radio) and it was causing dropped calls and EDGE connection problems so I flashed it back to stock. I want a new custom rom without this issue that is rooted with Wifi/tethering.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 model with AT&T.
I appreciate any help it I can get with this!

If you take the time to read like most of us have. You will find out that you can't flash custom rooms if you are on kit kat until devs find exploit, which is going to be very hard.

From what he says you could tell he is either on mk2, nb1 or NC1 which the bootloader is lock down and as most of us know we can only flash Tw roms.

I don't get that from his post. He wants to flash a kk custom rom and he seems to be able to flash roms which tells me he has a custom recovery.
Op, can you tell us what firmware version you're on?

I have a rooted galaxy s4. The baseband version is nc1. And I'm reading that I can only download roms that are specifically for nc1. Running 4.4.2. Is this still the case?

Lollipop is still buggy even though its veen out for so long if you dont care about lollipop try a downgrade with odin. Downgrade helped me with a battery issue. If you want to keep lollipop downgrade root and flash a rom and you can keep lollipop and no problems.

Is it possible to downgrade to Kitkat....???
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app
It may be possible, but if I recall, it's not easy to do. You may be better off rooting, if not already rooted, and installing a custom ROM. Custom ROMs generally don't care which baseband is installed.
