Provide some info please:
1. Are you on stock now and which one?
2. What custom recovery do you have installed?
3. Did you update the superSU binaries?
4. What happens if you try to flash a custom rom?
-Edit- Sorry missread the post. Did you flash the recovery with Odin and placed the .img file in PDA. Have you closed Kies, also in windows tray manager? Do you have usb debugging enabled on your phone, tried another PC usb port (no hub), correct drivers installed?

If it is a .tar file you have to flash the recovery with Odin 3.04 on your PC or with Mobile Odin Pro from your phone. Download the latest twrp 2.6.0.0 tar file and flash with Odin.

I think you`re not rooted correctly. Have you updated the binaries of the SU app? Open the SU app and it will update probably. Did you install Busybox from Google Play, this is needed also.

Can someone upload a stock recovery restore for I337M because i want to revert TWRP to stock recovery. Preferably an Odin zip.
Also, I heard that TWRP gets deleted and replaced with stock recovery upon reboot, Is this true or not? Can somebody confirm

the first result will be an xda guide. it is intended for MDJ. you did not list what build you were on.

you should be all set as long as you are flashing the identical build number. you will likely have to boot into recovery mode and wipe cache though.

Are you sure that you have a I9505 and not a I9500, I9505G, I9506 or I9508 as there is a different Pit file and firmware for each. You can check at the top of the screen in download mode. And that the firmware you tried to flash was also for the correct model.

You was in TWRP after flashing ?
Did you only factory reset ?
ok so my kid was using my rooted (TWRP) TM350N and
had some problems playing a game. one of his friends
suggested a factory reset which he did and now all it
does it boot the the TWRP menu.
i downloaded and installed (using TWRP) the
JazzROM-SM-T350_7.1.1_v2.01.zip and it seemed
to install with no errors however it will still only
boot to the TWRP menu and i'm lost
any ideas ?
additionally holding down power-volume up-home or power-volume down-home
does nothing, it still boots to the TWRP menu every time.
hopefully it's not ruined

With the latest Odin, you need to extract the files from the zip and flash each of them. I'd try first with just the AP and BL files.
