[Q] Cyanogenmod 12.1 Notification Problem - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

[Q] Cyanogenmod 12.1 notification problem
Hi all,
i have a problem related to cyanongenmod12.1-15-09-17 build. Whatsapp doesn't show some emojis in notification bar (appear as '[X]']. In addition, message applications (like GOSMS PRO) can't change style of the notification. How solve this?

Can you please try reflashing your ROM in recovery (without wipe)? This will save your data but restore any corrupted or missing system files, to see if that is the problem.

[Q] Gmail problem_won't search

Is anyone using cyanogenmod 7 and having problems using gmail. Specifically using the search function and viewing other labels besides the inbox?
These functions worked fine on the stock rom but now whenever I try to search in gmail the "loading conversation" thing comes up and just keeps going forever! I have similar issues trying to view other labels like "Starred" and "Sent mail". This happens even when I am on wifi with a very fast connection so I don't think it is just network speed. Like I said I never had these problems with the stock rom.
I am new to ROMs, so if there is anything I need to wipe or reload please let me know.
More details:
running CM7.0.3
using gmail version 2.3.4.1
I wiped cache and dalvik cache before I updated to CM7.0.3 from 7.0.2
I also tried wiping gmail data in manage applications but that didn't do anything...
I'd appreciate any help thanks!
Mine is working fine, also use CM7. But I'll let u know if smth occurs. Try uninstall gmail and reinst from market...

[Q] [HELP] - S-Health Dissapeared From S4 After Update

Hello all,
I have a GT-I9500 running 4.2.2. I had been using S-Health to track my running sessions. Yesterday, the Samsung apps app tolde me that S-health had an update and I proceed with it.
After the update was finished, the widget on my screen showed "There was aproblem loading the widget", I deleted it and tried to add it back but it wasn't shown anymore on the widget list.
I launched the app and it displayed an error message on the screen (like there was an error with app, android, health) and the icon for the app is now gone.
If I look for it with the Samsung appstore, no results are displayed.
Has anyone gone through this? Did Samsung remove the app through the update?
Please let me know if anyone knows anything about this, I googled the issue with no luck.
Thanks in advance!
David.

Wrong "Insufficient storage available" warning

Hi guys,
Today I has the following problem: I saw three updates, Chrome, Facebook and Whatsapp. And after installed Chrome, both Facebook and Whatsapp informed of insufficient storage available. I checked and I had 7Gb free. Just in case I removed some videos, but I had the same message. So I rebooted the phone and both apps disappeared. Hence I installed Facebook again, without problems, but trying to install Whatsapp I received the same "insufficient storage available" message again.
Can it be a hardware problem in the flash device? Is there any way to check it?
If nothing else works I will do a full wipe and install everything again, but I want to be sure it is not a hardware problem first, and I do not know how to check.
Ideas?
I am using the latest purity ROM, with stock kernel, and some Xposed mods that I just uninstall to discard them as being the problem, but nothing changed.

Problem solved: I noticed that I was able to install other apps. So I did a search in the full partition for "whatsapp" and deleted every single file and folder named *whatsapp*. After that I was able to install the app again.

System app disabled and still crashing

Hi
I disabled hangouts app on my stock 5.1.1 rom 'cause i dont use it, but every few hours it crashes without a reason (i think that if the app is disabled, it shouldn't be running in background).
I know that it's a system app and I could uninstall it easy using root privileges, but this situation doesn't appear in other smartphones.
So how can I fix it ? The pop-up notification is annoying me :')
The problem is related to stock nexus4 rom or is just a global bug ?

Marshmallow don't have notifications

Hello,
At first, sorry for my english. It's terrible.
Now, I have small problem with notifications. After installing stock version of Marshmallow (574) my apps are not sending notifications. E-mail, SMS and dialer notifications are ok, but apps like Facebook Messenger or Snapchat have problem.
I have them in protected apps.
I have mobile data transfer and WiFi always turned on.
Apps have permissions to notifications.
Any ideas how to fix it? Phone without notifications is not a phone...

No, it's not rooted.
I fixed it. My solution for someone who will have similar problem: downgrade to lollipop and update it one more time. Only this solved my problem.
Thanks a lot for activity in this thread!
