Hi,
I just want to share my observations with you:
In just a few words: restoring TA (Trim Area) with TWRP seems to lock bootloader and restore DRM functions.
Of course: restoring a TWRP backup made before the unlock!!!
Details:
1) initial I'm on Stock KK (23.0.1.A.5.77)
2) root using giefroot_v3.1
3) install XZDualRecovery
4) flash latest firmware 23.4.A.0.564+root+XZDualRecovery (packed with PRFCreator_v0.9)
5) perform TWRP backup !
ACTUAL STATUS - decided to unlock.
6) unlock bootloader (phone reboots and performs a factory reset!!! )

7)Restore backup from step 5 (including TA)
Here you can see Root status changed back to: "Bootloader unlock allowed:Yes" and all the keys are back.
How i notice this? Soft bricking my phone .
Just wanted to use AndroPlusKernel so I unlocked bootloader, restored backup, flashed AndroPlusKernel and..... didn't boot.
After revived my phone went testing why....
I hope it helps!

Hello,
I updated to Bliss Rom a while ago, didn't liked it and tried to return to Stock 5.1.1, but didn't worked. Well, I decided to go for the CM13 rom which where much better. However I saw the Thread here where someone explains how to get back to Stock from CM13 and I tried it, Step by Step everything went successful, except that nothing works now...
The EFS Clear part went fine, I saw some having trouble with it, so that can't be my problem, hopefully.
I use to recover these firmware/bootloader: COJ5 and tried it with COH4, not working.
I made a backup of my CM13, but if I restore it, it fails...fking hopeless :/
I hope someone can help me.
Here Screenshot of my Odin I started after clearing my EFS with EFS Pro.:

Do an efs format through twrp as i explained in the guide threads. After flashing the stock rom make sure to boot in stock recovery and factory reset.
I also captured the OTA from the /sdcard, which I'm currently uploading and will share.

Here is the OTA if anyone's interested: update.zip.
preloader
Has anyone tried accepting the update yet? Can you confirm if it locks the preloader like the v6.6 prime update?

Yes it does
Stuck in logo boot loop on my non-prime phone... I had even made a ROM_FULL SPFT backup but it appears the OTA disabled the ability to use SPFT. I get an error S_BROM_DOWNLOAD_DA_FAIL. Did full wipe, nothing works.
Relock the bootloader.

lock failed - Err:0xffffffff
However running unlock again succeeded and I could flash boot.img. Now installation of magisk and phh superuser under twrp appears to work but the device is not rooted. Not sure if something changed or broke root.
Hello,
I recently updated to OB3 update on Oneplus 5.
Phone stuck on bootanimation for 30 minutes. I restarted it, same result !
Went into stock recovery only to see all data gone , some random folders are showing (check attachments).
Immediately flashed TWRP.
I have not tried anything as of yet so as to preserve data.
I have access to ADB , recovery(blu_spark's TWRP) and fastboot.
Please tell me how to proceed and save the data.

What about this guide ??
GUIDE
Is it any good ? Seems to be doing very good for people out there.
My concern is guide says Stable N --> Stable O
I was on Open Beta.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930V. It has installed Android 7.0. Some months ago I'd installed ENGBOOT to get root, but I want to get rid of that. The phone is too slow, WiFi doesn't work, and I have a padlock on the boot screen as shown in the picture.

I alredy flashed the stock ROM with every file (AP, BL, CP, CSC), wipe data, wipe cache. And it stills showing the padlock on boot screen and WiFi is not working. How can I definitely remove the ENGBOOT?
Try this ROM for a modified non-rooted experience. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...sungpay-norootrequiredtoinstallorrun-t3748755
I realize this is pretty late - but in case someone else needs this answered :
The trick to removing the padlock on newer phones / firmwares is once you flash stock via Odin and perform a factory data reset, let it boot to the system and go through the setup wizard like normal. Then boot to download mode afterwards. Once you boot back up, the padlock will be removed.
im trying to install a custom rom on my mi 9t. its not the first time that ive done this, but now its all gone wrong. I have unlocked the device, flashed twrp, and got the rom/gapps ready to go, but when i go to install it i get 2 errors, "E:unhandled flag: wrappedkey" and "E:unable to decrypt fbe device". and just to make things worse, i came to the brilliant conclusion that the errors were from the old rom interferring with the new one that i was trying to install, so i deleted the system partition and wiped my os.
feel free to call me as many names as you like, so long as you also provide some help aswell haha.
thanks guys

If you have twrp I stalled, then you just need to factory reset in recovery, format partition, flash dmverity, flash ROM and optionally root. There is nothing you could do wrong if you choose proper ROM for your device - each ROM has instruction what you need for it to work properly
