i have the invite ,but not yet sure to buy it or not..i know there is a lot of development thats gonna happen for this device..
Just want to if the heating issues of 810 can be solved with a good custom kernel in future?
there are no heating issues with the 810 on the opt. or any device for that matter after updates.
Yep I get 80°c on my cpu

Hi all,
I have created this post for gathering developer support to fix the overheating issue found on s4.After browsing numerous forum I have found a devolper has made a script which can be flashed in recovery to solve overheating. So I request devolopers to take a look at this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2939100
And create such a zip for us to solve overheating while gaming issue which is a major problem.[emoji24]
IF YOU ARE READING THIS PLEASE SHARE WITH BEST DEVS OUT THERE AND HELP OUT!
thank you[emoji2]
From my s4 running Euphoria OS!
Samsung themselves said that overheating might happen during use and it is normal. As long as it's not extreme.
You could also undervolt the CPU. People say that it doesn't overheat as much or at all.

Hi guys,
I have purchased Note 4 recently and it seems to be heating in minimal tasks also like surfing the internet. i have flashed KITKAT, LOLLIPOP(default) and MARSHMALLOW but in all these firmwares the problem seemed to be consistent. Earlier i used snapdragon phone which was clocked at 2.3 GHZ and used to heat @ heavy games like No Limits, with recording on but this one is heating in angry birds itself. Though no lags are observed. I have not tried the Marshmallow version latest yet but some body told that latest update fixed heating issue. The root problem i see is its Processor clocked @ 2.7 GHZ, i mean this much we see in PC. I dont understand why they have gone so far. Now Samsung kernel must be clocked such way that on demand it bumps the frequency to max. This max i want to limit to 2 GHZ but without knocking down KNOX warranty. If some one has latest updated Marshmallow release and can confirm that it is indeed not heating please comment or tell me the solution to this problem, i really like this phone but hate when it heats. I am ok with slight lagging due to underclocking. i am willing to flash kernels with lower max frequency via ODIN. No custom recovery intended. Also i dont want to loose on warranty.
Thanks and Regards,
Really looking forward to solution

well i had the same problem in LP but with MM the heating problem is gone. You might have a defective device.

So I want to OC my phone a bit.
That's my only gripe with this device, that it's a tad bit slow - I think due to the high resolution.
Back in the past I used OC on my Note 2 and S3, and both became blazing fast.
I realize you cannot push a chip on 2,2ghz all day long.
But that extra boost is extra handy when you do need the speed.
I checked out the kernel forum of course, but I only found a GPU OC kernel, and one kernel with only a 2.0ghz OC.
That's only 0.1 ghz increment, that ain't not much.
Ps.: I realize that not every chip is the same. They all have different undervolting/overclocking capabilities, it's silicon lottery. But I do want to see if I could push my Note 4 a bit. And heck, it will throttle anyway if things get a bit hot.
And of course another post about someone wanting to control their cpu and nobody on these forums gives you an answer, I have been trying to look for solutions and kernals that offer cpu overclocking to atleast 3000mhz like how cm13 is, The problem is I dont like the ui of cm13 and want to use rooted jasmine which is based on stock 6.0.1 , but the cpu on apps only lets me clock it to 2649mhz and it doesnt let me set frequencies at all sometimes, it seems nobody knows or cares to tell anyone if their roms support cpu tuning or not, its sad and annoying because people seem to get their useless questions answered and not issues of this kind which are why some people even decided to root in the first place, like me.
Did u checked the Nemesis and Refined ROM threads from the exynos forum? There you can find what you want.
Here you can find and learn if you have a time and will to know and learn every possible things about Cpu ,setting up Cpu ,frequency and other stuff:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guide-advanced-interactive-governor-t3290605
I'm not sure if this is what Sony is really doing to their stock ROM these days... They seem to put multiple service components that keeps system_server active all the time. Easily asks CPU to use 8~10% when doing almost any tasks.
Also one I'm not so sure of is how inefficient the CPU is driving the mediaplaybackservice. Is this Snapdragon 810 thing, or is this becoming more of an issue since marshmallow ROM updates...
Really eager to try non-stock based ROMs (Cyanogenmod or AOSP), but only if it weren't for camera problems...
What do you think? Are there workarounds to lower these services CPU usages? Or am I doing something wrong?
there are not many rom for our device! our phone is not good enough and needs many roms for us to test . plz make more:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

This device isn't bad,it's powerful enuf as other 810 processors (z5).. Only issue was heating which has been resolved to small extent by ota updates. And both devices haven't seen much more development compared to other Xperias coz things got tough (on Lb) for devs from MM!!

Did u read my post? I mentioned that heat issue was der and it got reduced to some extent through ota updates..!!! Lags? Seriously? It's not completely device dependant!! 80% it depends on the os!! wait for nougat..!! It's already gaining good response regarding performance and heating issue!! Good day
