Hi,
I own a Galaxy E700M, from Brazil and it run KitKat 4.4.4 until a few days ago. Then, I recieved a OTA updade notification and did everything necessary to install it - I was dying for this Lollipop update, every day seaching for some hint it would come out soon for my country...
So, after the upgrade, everything was working well but custom fonts. When on KitKat, I used iFont and HiFont, and never had such problems, but now, neither of them work, nor any other FlipFont app or font pack app available on Google Play Store. Note here, I do not have any problems with installing the fonts, the problem appears when I try to choose one to apply on my phone. It displays a message "Font not supported. Contact Font Provider. Unistall this font?"
Has any one in the community had such issues?
[I know this is no biiiig problem, like bricked phones or likewise, but this bothers me so much. My phone is brand new, has no root, not even one "unauthorized" change, and I do not intend to make any change soon, as well. But font changing is the only option for personalization I have for now, and I want to know if anybody knows some way to fix it, or to install custom fonts in any other way. It may as well be a problem for somebody else out there on the internet ]
Please, someone help me
Yes, third party font apps won't work after update, the only way you can change your font is from Samsung store!!
OR
ROOT!!! But it seems you are not interested in rooting your device, if you are Interested go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/development/1000-font-pack-tab-4-lollipop-kitkat-t3155146, 1000 fonts in one file!!! Cheers! ?
This is horrible!!! ?? I saw some people complaining that even the font apps on Galaxy App Store didn't work ?? so I don't think I will pay for it... I'm very disappointed with my long-waited-update ???
Thanks, anyway...

Hi all,
Yesterday morning the Oreo update came through on my X Compact, but it has broken the Twilight app's "blue light" filter feature, which now does not work on the notification bar, drop down notifications or the lock screen
I wish I hadn't bothered updating, and I wouldn't have if I had known. My question is, how can I go back to Android 7.1.1 which I had previously?? I realise I'd probably have to flash the FTF, but I can't find it anywhere! I think the file name would be F5321_1304-8441_34.3.A.0.252-R3D_Customized_UK.ftf. Is the "Customized UK" version the generic version? Also if I was to find this file and flash it, do I lose everything, or can I keep my apps and data?
Hope someone can help me return to Nougat, as I rely on the blue light filter to work quite heavily and I am very disappointed that Google made this change.
Thanks

Was going to say it works great on my X compact with Oreo, but I just noticed it doesn't apply the filter to those areas. interesting.

You could use Xperifirm through Flashtool. Only a few regions have gotten the O update. Browse through the different region options to find one that's still on N.
You could also probably find isolated ftfs for whatever firmware you're looking for, but Xperifirm is the best way...
Might also be worth checking out Emma. Sometimes there will be multiple options available, but sometimes only the latest.

Thanks for the replies.
I tried XperiFirm and unfortunately for my region, the only ROM available to download is Oreo (34.4.A.0.364). I did install Emma/Xperia Flash Tool, but nothing happens when I load it up and connect my phone? There are no buttons to press and all the fields are greyed out.

For Emma you need to connect in flash mode. Also, you can flash a different region with Flashtool...

Hi Levone1, thanks for the reply.
I was hopeful of having the UK one so I have the exact firmware that was on my phone before. I'm annoyed at myself that I didn't manage to grab it from XperiFirm in time. Are there any problems I can encounter by flashing another region's ROM? Also, will another region's ROM contain different stock apps to what I had before? I keep looking for the UK FTF but I can only seem to find it for download on paid websites
If anyone has a copy of the generic UK ROM of 7.1.1 then I'd love to hear from you!
Why dont you download the "store front" version, it still has 34.2.A

And where is the problem? How long do you watch your notification bar? I am using twilight too, btw. Really silly...

Maybe you don't have any friends, hence why no need to check the notification area?
Hi everyone !
i have many issues and limitations on my ZTE Axon 7 like battery drain and problems to connect with google account, remove or change it etc. Basically I'm not allowed to do anything telling me I dont have admin rights.. I tried already many solutions to sort these issues but none worked. Even if I do a factory reset I will still encounter same issues. I have european version of the phone I'm on build number ZTE A2017GV1.0.0B11, MIFavor UI 4.0, Android 6.0.1, Kernel 3.18.20 and I want to upgrade it to B35 or a much more recent version. The update in the settings is telling me 'software up to date' so cant do it automatically.
Which version would you advise to have the most efficient and less limitative interface (maybe even avoid overlayers from zte) ? could you help me explaning how to choose and do an upgrade with all detailed steps? also I am wondering if any problem with upgrading and my phone doesnt work can I do a factory reset or nothing and do I lose the warranty doing so? I am looking for most simple way to do so (for a newbie)
thanks a lot !
Download the A2017G B08 Nougat ROM, put the update.zip in the root of SD and use the system update app. From that ROM there is a new Nougat B10 update as a precursor to updating to Oreo soon.

B35 is US. You have to use B08 or 09. But yeah, just update to B08
The Nougat V1.2.0B10 just released. You may get it from the ZTE Germany page.
@ko_wei13 is it compatible to update from ZTE A2017G V1.0.0B11 to V1.2.0B10 ? if I download it from the german website can I set any language after update?
@RobboW on which website can I find / download right package of the A2017G B08 Nougat ROM compatible with my build version?

Yes, minimum requirement to update to Nougat is V1.0.0B11. So you can download the file and place it under the root directory of your phone storage and the system update will automatically detect it.
For language, there is no issue for you to change it as the ROM is for global, not limit to German.
I flashed it on my G. Had a couple of glitches but mostly ok. They say you should do a major update after a factory reset. I didn't but the glitches were minor and it seems to be working ok now.
thanks worked great !
@yann360,
Hi,
Yeah, you can set most language in your phone. You can upgrade your phone via SD card.
Thanks!
Hi everyone. Good day to you.

This is probably in the cscfeature.xml or others.xml file, depending on the 8.0 or 9.0 system, which cscfeature line is responsible for this menu, I have no idea, in the seat you can replace this other.xml file with Rom where the menu works for another Rom, you only need to do the editing for a given csc, otherwise it will not work.

Hi!
I successfully changed CSC from TGY to BRI and vice versa on my SM-N9860/DS.
From N9860ZSU1ATH1 ROM, I just flashed my unit back to the N9860ZSU1ATGM (stock firmware with July security patch) using Odin and then change CSC using the Change CSC app by Mysterious Dev.
Download Links:
N9860ZSU1ATGM or N9860ZSU1ATGM MEGA Download
Change CSC Windows App
Important notes and instructions:
Tested only when coming from N9860ZSU1ATH1 TGY/BRI ROM.
Factory Reset is required when flashing N9860ZSU1ATGM. If you are new to Odin flashing, check this thread first. Use the CSC_OMC_OZS_*** file instead of the HOME_CSC_OMC_OZS_*** on the CSC slot in Odin. You can use the latter but reset is still required.
After flashing is done and and your phone has completely booted, open the Samsung Themes app and login your samsung account, update the app if ask.
Before doing the change CSC, do the following first:
Enable developer mode on your phone and enable USB debugging
Disconnect your phone from internet.
Connect your phone to your PC using USB data cable and allow PC connection on your phone once prompted.
Turn-off your windows PC anti-virus before installing and opening the Change CSC app (the app is being detected as a virus)
If the Change CSC app is not opening properly, you need to run it as administrator.
On the Change CSC app, click "Check" > "Connect" > Select "Android 10" > Click "Change CSC". Go to your phone and click "Check out my stuff". Then follow the instructions shown on your windows desktop. Select the 'Android 10' option in the Legal Settings. Select the CSC that you want to test (BRI or TGY) and install. Click "Remove Change CSC" once done.
Turn-on you windows anti-virus back.
This will not trip knox if followed accordingly.
Do these procedures at your own risk!
After changing to BRI, I was able to update my phone to N9860ZSU1ATH1 OTA.
With BRI, I am already getting the 4G Carrier Aggregation on my unit here in the Philippines (which was not happening previously with TGY).
CA makes a significant difference on my unit. I now have 70-125mbps with it. Without it, it barely hovers 20mbps.
I have not tested the 5G yet. I have no 5G signal in my place yet.

Thanks a lot. 5G works in Switzerland (Sunrise) on slot 2 only, but both sim cards can be activated.
Am I on ATH1 or ATH2? Can I go ahead with changing my CSC using this method. The only reason I would want to do this is to enable call recording.
Will it be changed forever? Will I get updates and what happens when I get an update? Do I still remain with the changed CSC or does it get reverted to the stock one? Thanks & sorry for so many questions...

You can't get call recording with this ROM.
I think you can get it by flashing the N9860 rom with CHC CSC.

Does this require that your phone should still be on the Aug 1 security patch to be able to downgrade to the July security patch?
Thanks a lot, you saved me a lot of work.
May I ask what is the point in changing CSC in this case?

Mostly to get the latest updates, or for some to get the built-in call recording (Exynos variants).

Glad it helps. You are on BRI on this, right? It's good to know that 5G works even both sim cards are used.
How about 4G carrier aggregation (4G+)?

In my case, networks issues. As mentioned , 4G CA was not working while I am on TGY, so with the 5G. 4G CA is working now with BRI. Haven't tested the 5G yet. My country uses the same 5G band and freq with Taiwan.

The reason I asked is that I read somewhere that you can't 'downgrade' your firmware once you are already on the Sep 1 security patch. were you on the Aug 1 patch prior to downgrading to the July patch? I'm gonna try this on my Exynos phone, I hope it works as I am still on the Aug 1 sec patch. BTW I sent you a DM. I appreciate your time. Thanks!

I will report here later.
Kindly check your private message. I asked you something about the firmware. I want to share with everyone if indeed I got it right. Thanks.
Was reading carefully but my question is
CSC changer can change borrowing exynos CSE on Snapdragon? I want to change KOR (KOO) to UK BTU.
Why? This will fix region problems and samsung daily will focus on UK news rather then korean.

I don't think it will work. Exynos and SD use different modem hardware.
You will have a good chance if from the same chipset.
IT works. Still after updating to the latest firmware (Ota), the 5g mark doesn't show up anymore. Still it seems I'm on 5g given my speed test. Did anyone else notice that?
@Tribalfs I want to thank you for this. Since your guide is for the SD version, I made a thread for the Exynos version.
