Hi XDA ppl,
After reading some posts, I still have my doubt about this; some ppl say that have installed some roms with another modem file from other stock rom... I'm looking for the newest ROM build for any S5360 that has 2.3.6 android version to flash it with my original stock modem and csc (so I will not loose my baseband frequencies). I tried with a rom from Europe mixing its pda with my other two files and I didn't get pass my first boot screen (reboot loop in the Samsung Galay Y white letters, didn't boot still the blue samsung logo)... Any advice? Is this possible to do it (mixing pdas with other files)?
Hi The Android Experts,
I'd like to know about flashing using odin 3, can anyone help???
I really interesting in another country firmware, and I found one in thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2461580
But one thing I still worry, and I'd like to know,
In this thread there are separated files for PDA, Modem, CSC and Bootloader and I really scare about bootloader said warranty void 1
and I think about just flashing PDA only without CSC and Bootloader. for modem I've flashed XXUCMJ3 and work fine with indonesian CSC and Firmware XXUBMJ1. Now on the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2461580 thread there are N900XXUCMJ6_ROOT_ODEX PDA File and I just want to flash that PDA File only, That will be a problem??? or just fine. XXUCMJ6 is for Russia at this time, and is it safe to use with indonesian CSC??? Thanks a lot.
And another question was N900XXUCMJ6_ROOT_ODEX has any changes with kernel?? or still hold the original kernel? and does this Russian XXUCMJ6 Root Odex changed my original indonesian kernel???
Thanks
After flashing the sm-n9005 to N9005DXUENE4 the phone is not function at all. Though I can still boot into the system it becomes very laggy, baseband unknown, imei null sound and camera not working. Did try to flash Sweetrom V7 still the same. Anyway if there's a way I can bring it back to life?
Try to flash back stock rom..or restore thru kies 3 will be much better..
Sent from my GT-S7500 using XDA Free mobile app
Did try the stock rom already, still the same.

IMEI NULL/NULL is modem or hardware problem
My guess is that it is due to a modem/firmware mismatch. Start flashing a modem for same fw version.
did that already, one more thing the phone keyboard and the swipe to unlock is not responsive at all.repair.
did you find any solution and fixed your phone ?

When arrive the problem and which rom and modem do you have before?
You need to go back on this... you Don t have efs backup?????
Otherwise try to put NF2 modem with NF4 rom. Bootloader is not important.
But check if modem well installed because odin says PASS but still on old modem
Try to flash latest NG2 firmware after whipe cache and factory reset. It did the job for me.

I have been already try KHIZAR'S METHOD*to install different LTE Modems on my phone with different stock roms. No matter finally i gave my phone to local repair shop. Samsung Official repair center's do not care about my phone due to it is N9005 and it is not for my country selling phone.
And another question my first N9005 slept in water during almost whole night. When i wake up in the morning i found my phone in water since many hours. I give it repair shop to check also but seems to main board needs to be replaced. Connection sockets damaged badly like melted half of them. is it possible to only change the connection sockets instead of whole mainboard ? Any idea ? and Where can i get only the connection sockets ? from samy ? ))
And i am starting the googled to find N9005 mainboard sockets
You re the terminator of N9005.? ....... no idea about motherboard or connector sorry....
I am having the same issue,
I'm new to the site been cool so far learned a lot and done a lot with my Note 3 since being here.
I recently rooted and install a custom rom (N900_NF3_INU_Dr.Ketan Custom ROM K11) that works great, I tried flashing back to stock but encountered a major problem. after flashing to stock my IMEI is unknown and also my base-band from reading it seem as if my EFS got corrupted tried a ton of different thing and still I cant get this to work on stock. Only way my IMEI and base-band comes back is whenever I reinstall the custom rom (N900_NF3_INU_Dr.Ketan Custom ROM K11) and restore the EFS that was backed up during the first installation of this rom
Thanks in advance all help is greatly appreciated. :good::good:

NO BRICKS.
Difficult understand your post .
Suggest flashing latest stock rom for your model and test .Check IMEI correct . Back up EFS .
I have used various ROMs on various phones over the years. Each ROM with its merits and demerits.
I have used many ROMs on my N900 (international version) and found the Dr Ketan L24 the most suitable for me while A-Basher has the best radio signal (my model of phone seems generally plagued by a weak signal reception or possible signal attenuation).
1. Can I flash the radio from A-Basher (latest version) on to Dr Ketan (latest version) without issue? I suspect the radios have different ROM bases.
2. If yes (my research shows it can be done albeit it with possible unwanted side effects from the modem flashing), what is the proper procedure in order to minimise unwanted glitches?
RADIO ??
Take it you mean Baseband/ modem
Baseband for YOUR MODEL ONLY can be flashed through Odin . See baseband.modem threads in general section .
Or download full stock rom and flash .

You're getting me wrong. I have read the thread enough times and both basebands are for my model of phone (SM-N900).
A-Basher ROM (N920CXXU1AOH2)
Dr. Ketan L24 ROM (N900ZSUEBOG2)
Can their modem be flashed interchangeably without my phone glitching. I tried something similar to that 3 years ago and was rewarded with no signal/invalid IMEI. I want to try it again but a little differently (and properly) this time. How can it be done (I have the install zip for both ROMs)?
Namely, how do I extract the modem from a custom ROM and flash it onto another one without compromising my WiFi, GSM and IMEI functionality?

Still awaiting a helpful response. Thanks in advance
Hi All,
I have a newly refurbished Korean samsung galaxy s4 LTE active (LGU) SHV-E330L with baseband E330LKLUDPH1. It heats up heavily and have battery draining issue due to wifi reconnection and mobile signal searching in countries like India, pakistan and Bangladesh. Also, it does not have LTE band 3 support which is usually available in the international version i9505 or i9506 of the same device and is also supported by the chipset.
I updated the device with custom ROMs but it could not change the baseband, if I try official firmware, I get fail : auth error in odin along with secure check fail for: aboot.
I also tried flashing bootloader and modem from i9505 and i9506 only but could not change the baseband and get the same auth error.
I also tried NV writing to NV item 6828 but it gave success message only but did not update the values, as I checked by backing up again.
Currently I have twrp recovery installed along with 6.0.1 marshmallow and it shows model SM-G900M galaxy s5 but still all those problem exist.
My questions are :
1. Is it possible to change baseband? How ?
2. Is there any stable baseband for galaxy s4 without any issues?
3. Will it softbrick the device if I update the bootloader and modem now?
4. How do I backup/restore/flash modem or bootloader using TWRP ?
You cannot cross-flash the bootloader from another s4 to this phone using Odin. Also, cross-flashing the bootloader could hard-brick the phone.

Thanks for replying .
with Heimdall , is it possible ?
I can leave alone the boot loader , I only want to flash compatible modem.bin and non HLOS bin .
Do you know a way to fix this ?
I have tried many custom roms but none seem to help about network .

Really?
You can only flash firmware from the same model as your device.
Sent from my Redmi 3 using XDA Labs
I don't recommend cross-flashing modems either and an incompatible bootloader/modem could hard brick the phone.

Hi , I understand , it can brick the phone but how do I resolve the problem ? if not the boot loader but a compatible modem firmware such as international version of GT-i9506 could help ? Is there a compatible modem software other than the original firmware ?
As I stated my problems clearly in the original post, I have several problems with device software as i think they are software problems.
Is there any fix or solution for that other than what I tried ?

could this be antenna problem ? changing hardware will solve this ?
1. You can only flash a baseband that applies to your device. Attempting to flash other basebands will fail and could damage the device, as @audit13 mentioned. As @krasCGQ makes clear, using Heimdall instead of Odin won't change this fact.
2. There may be other basebands available for your device, but that requires downloading the ROMs from sammobile or samsung-updates and extracting modem.bin and NON-HLOS.bin from them.
3. Updating the bootloader and the modem won't brick the device, so long as they are for your device. For example, you can flash an I9505 modem and baseband on any I9505, but cannot flash the same baseband and modem on an I9500.
4. You don't. You need Wanam Partition Backup and Restore to back up the modem partition. Backup up the bootloader you can do as well, but there's no point to it.
You asked how to resolve the battery drain and your other issues. Start downloading older ROMs and trying to flash their basebands until you find one that works well for you. Since you cannot flash basebands from other devices onto yours this is the only viable software solution other than "sucking up and dealing" with it. To answer your most recent question, changing the motherboard could in fact solve the issue, but like the basebands, the hardware is specific from one model to another. For example, you cannot place an I9505 motherboard in an I9500 device. You would need to purchase a SHV-E330L motherboard.

Thanks for the reply.
1. I9500 has different Chipset but i9506 has same as SHV-e330L . I understand the risk. My question is are you aware of compatible basebands for shv e330l other than original ?
2. I backed up using twrp recovery including bootloader, modem and efs, is it sufficient or do I still need Wanam Partition Backup ?
I will try older basebands for the same too.
One thing strange, originally , NV 6828 bit for original device should have been 15 for 1+3+5 LTE but are (08 10 00 ) band 4 + 13 LTE .
1. Chipset is irrelevant. If the baseband isn't for your model of S4 you will not be able to install it.
2. TWRP doesn't back up modem partitions at all, because the partitions in question cannot be seen by TWRP. Wanam is required.
I never was able to add bands to my I9505 and nearly bricked the device in trying it. I would stop trying to add bands.
